Destiny's Child Vocal Battle: "Emotion" Soprano, High C (Beyoncé vs Kelly vs Michelle)

- Inspired by MimiDahhling30's video :)
VOICE TYPES:
Michelle Wiliams: Light Lyric Soprano
Beyoncé Knowles: Coloratura Mezzo-Soprano
Kelly Rowland: Lyric Mezzo-Soprano
Kelly 1st - Falsetto, but most pleasant to the ear.
Beyoncé 2nd - Perfect for a Mezzo.
Michelle 3rd - She's a true Soprano, so it's expected to be as full and connected as she is
Michelle is a mezzo that has an extended range to soprano.
@@benjaminbawa5273 all three are soprano indeed
@@KienNguyen-cb1cj*Mezzo sopranos, yes.
all three lack vocal weight, natural density in voice that make them mezzo, Bee 4th octave is too light and lack intensity, it is even smaller than many lowered soprano like Vivian Reeds, Ock Joohyun@@benjaminbawa5273
Michelle took it for both support and true ease as the only soprano in Destiny’s Child. Beyoncé’s vibrato was rather pushed and heavy, but true support is there, and it is hard for mezzo soprano to have ease in the 6th octave so kudos for Bey. I would say Beyoncé truly reached her full potential in headvoice ease support and resonance in I Am… Sasha Fierce era. Kelly’s C6 is a disconnected falsetto in here, but I like her youthful mezzo tone.
Michelle has the best C6. she was the only real soprano in this group she should have done this
Michelle did not stop lying
They were all nice. Michelle's was very good. Kelly's was more like, simple. Beyonce's had nice Vibrato. And Michelle was just great all the way around.
bey for technique
but kelly for souund 😍
Its scary how EASY Michelle hit hers and the other 2 had to WORK for theirs... That lets me know she can go a lot higher with ease!! But it was hard to hear how good it was due to the quality of the video and that other GIRL(J. Miss aka J Moss) screaming
Well she is soprano... unlike the other. It's hard for a mezzo to sing that.
Kelly's was so pleasant to hear. Not forced like beyonce. I need more of that from michelle
You can hear a lot more high notes from Michelle in my Unexpected era (2008-2012) [Bb2-B6] vocal range video: ua-cam.com/video/rdnyvder88k/v-deo.html
Forced?????
@@beysiren9447 a little it sounds like she pushing more air and Kelly’s is effortless
@@reggiemitchell5198 no that's just how her voice is
@@beysiren9447 yeh but it sounds forced and she can’t help it because it’s jus her voice
y’all see this as a competition BUT I see it that these women are vocal TALENTS! That’s why Destinys child, TO ME, is the best group vocally, because they had harmonies and range for ETERNITIES!
Michelle's one was good I love the vibrato ! I would say 1- Beyoncé, 2- Michelle 3- Kelly because I didn't really heard vibrato :\
beyonce by farrrrrr
We of course kelly Best out on that note because she was the SOPRANO DESTINY CHILD . So for IT AND MUCH MORE IN THIS simple and a song was NOT recorded with a note of it , because SHE serially . Brazil .
Yea michelle can reach it but that was not a good sounding but she can most def reach it
Hilarious that Michelle actually beats Kelly in this, considering she wasn't even singing the song... lmao
I NEED THAT PERFORMANCE WHERE KELLY IS DOING THE ADLIBS PLEASE CAN SOMEONE SEND ME THE LINK
From their World Tour DVD, live in Rotterdam.
@@Slaychelle Ong thank you so much
Kelly 🙌🙌
From worst to best (though all three hit the note fine):
In last was Kelly. I'm sorry, but she used a straight-tone falsetto, indicating that perhaps that range ISN't so easy for her as people seem to think it is.
Middle: Beyoncé. Full, vibrant head voice, and with controlled vibrato. Top of the mezzo range, but still gorgeous. Against almost anyone else, she would win, but that said...
Best: Michelle. Perfect head voice, great sound, and easy as breathing. I may hate her belts, but she has a head voice for days.
Must admit Beyonce wasn’t all there back then with them highs lol let’s be real they won’t touch her with it now
Wow, why the hate for Bey?
I think beyonce's is more professional
For me it was:
1 - Beyoncé: although it looked forced, she was in a very high note for a mezzo with a lot of power in full head voice with jaw-free vibratto
2 - Michelle: full connected head voice, vibratto, something easy as speaking for a light lyric soprano. Just didn't give her the first place because she wasn't singing the song so it was like realising a note without having to go through the exausting melasmatic lines that have happened before.
3- Kelly: for those who are saying Kelly was the best, I tottaly disagree. She was using falsetto, a register that is above the modal register (head voice, in these case) making it easier to sing higher. So Kelly did the easier note with little power.
Just my opinion, if you disagree you can respond to these comment and explain why, but don't be rude please.
I felt that Kelly was actually the most pleasant. Bey's vibrato sounded forced to me, and Michelle was just plain overwhelming.
Rvd Rvm forced Vibrato 😂😂😂😂😂 .. please Beyoncé was the best ... the note was full and supported.....Kelly was using Falsetto and it was weak
Jelly C6 was airy and any real vocalist will tell you that, you can hear the air in between her throat and her head voice where as beyonce PROPERLY does it from her head and not her throat. People under this post know nothing about vocals and just don't like bey lol
Kelly*
Because it's falsetto.
I tried to do that note and I did it so easily.I did it with head voice.
lol I laugh cause when Bey is involved most people swear nobody else can sound better. Kelly could hit the note full voice if she wanted to, she has a higher range than Beyonce but however she chose to do it falsetto because the softness of the song. Kelly higher register comes out real powerful as you have seen in other videos which probably wouldn’t have fit the song well. Kelly tone was much better, whether you want to agree or not. Let’s not forget when the original group started Kelly was the better singer and still is a great singer
lol!
Kelly’s vocally better than Beyoncé hands down
Beyonce Michelle Kelly
1. Beyonce
2. Michelle
3. That other girl squeezing that little falsetto thing out
1. Kelly Rowland because it was done effortlessly and beautifully. 2. Michelle Williams all though the sound quality was bad and she was joking around it was still very nice, I imagine the results had she really been going for it. 3. Beyounce Knowels it sound more forced and not easily done for her. Seems like Beyonce had the most trouble also sustaining it.
That's because Kelly used Falsetto, while Beyonce used head voice. Therefore, Beyonce was using the correct technique, and Kelly Rowland was not.
@@lamarmcneil5655 Kelly is not doing it wrong, hitting that note in Falsetto is optional.
shady...lmao
