Awesome explanation, thanks for making this video. I was in NYC when they were filming the movie. Me and my friend drove our group with two 14 passenger vans and parked near our hotel where they were filming the movie. Our group was unloading the luggage and equipment when one of their crew members yelled at us to move the vans. So I missed the one/two second scene where the stunt driver drives the red car from the side street to the Main Street. Their crew put fake grass at the wheels of the vehicles, they put stickers on the windows and cars to make it look foggy, dusty, or dirty. This was the second week of April back in 2007.
This video deserves way more credit/views/likes I loved it, I love I am legend and I hope to one day visit these locations, as I am from the uk, 10/10 video.
Gosh, so amazing you did this!! My absolute favorite movie in my favorite city! I go every 10 years to visit NYC because of this awesome movie. I was just there 2 weeks ago and enjoyed seeing the Intrepid ship! Visiting his home at Washington Square Park is a highlight of my life haha. Man, can't thank you enough for this, my hat off to you!! ❤
Oh my goodness. You have another fan right here Nick P. As someone in tv, I'm totally geeked up over your uploads especially when you match it up to the inch like the bridge and Fred. Please keep them coming.
Nick P this video right here is a prime example of the quality of your work. I can tell that you spent a lot of time putting this filming location video together. I love your narration and how you go into detail describing all the details of each location you visit. Plus you ad in some humor for good measure. Figuring out where these scenes were filmed is not easy. Especially in a city as big as New York and a movie that is as intense as "I Am Legend" was. Nick P your videos are absolutely fascinating. That is because YOU are a fascinating man.
Awesome movie and even better filming location video!!! EXCELLENT job Nick!! Locations were spot on as usual!! Thank you for showing this to us!!! We were happy to tag along!!! Stay safe out there Nick!!! :)
I really love I am legend it's very well put together just like this filming locations video well done nick great job really enjoyed it all the best from Carl at CjC adventures 👍🎬🎞️
Thanks a lot bud and I’m glad you really enjoy the video. I’ve been so busy bud. It’s been a long time, I need to stop by for some much needed entertainment.
Nick... I've asked alot of "Hollywood UA-camrs"... You Are My Favourite... "Rivers"s Edge" Cali... "Hero At Large" NY... No One Has Done These... Luv Ya Man...
Hey Nick- Rob from Melbourne in Australia, loving these videos they are right up my ally. If by some miracle I get back to the USA I would love to go out and do one of these with you!!!!!
Hi Rob, that would be awesome! As a matter of fact, I've had Australia/New Zealand on the hit list for a while now. I can't wait to visit your country. Thanks a lot!!
Hi. I love what you do. You're so thorough, detailed & informative. You're obviously very passionate re: films & their locations. I find your videos very interesting & share your passion for films. You go above & beyond. Brilliant. 😊
the production on these videos are amazing, you deserve way more views and subs buddy, thank you for all your hard work, its not easy to get on video what you do.cheers, uk.
Great video, I remember vividly seeing Washington Square Arch in '98, they had a market, carnival on on that weekend Wonder if they still do that? Who knew I Am Legend would be filmed there, still have a photo looking through the Arch to the house exterior
I mean if you watch the movie and you see like how nature takes over New York City is actually really nice I’m not gonna lie because you see how quiet New York is honestly it’s very beautiful
As always, another great job brother! Do you use the subway to navigate around NYC when doing your locations there? That’s so cool you have close proximity to a place with so many things to do and see.
Thanks a lot bud! Sometimes I use the train and subway and sometimes I go gorilla mode w my truck lol. Depending on where and what I need. It is cool, gotta love Manhattan.
It’s been way too long since I’ve been there. I really need and want to get back again in the near future. I was at Columbia’s football stadium in Inwood (upper west side, it’s not on the main campus) a few years ago but didn’t have time to drop down into NYC and see what I wanted to see. Hopefully soon. Keep up the great work and I’m already looking forward to your next video.
Absolute love your videos nick must aprechate the time you take but for future videos can you please do voice overs in nosiey areas as carnt hear your history much thanks again nick
Many thanks Nathan... I know, I’m definitely going to start doing that more and more. Trying not to lose the natural sounds of the locations but sometimes they got to go lol.
I lved in 4 Parkave. When they shot the opening Mustang scene they told everyone to get out of the street and go in any building they can. Then anyone who was in the shot they erased on film. Was working in buling on 42 street next to Grand Central. Saw them film scene when Will was shooting in the air when he found Fred outside.
I always seem to have something to say when you show NYC locations. The first of this video belt you showed the Interpet, the purple structure that's has the FDR on top of it, is where MIB 3 was being filmed and Will Smith was there though I only saw him from a distance but I did talk to a MIB agent and a guy who does security and he was telling me his next gig was a Batman movie and I think it was the Dark Knight Rises movie. Edit: around 10:23, I see you talked about that area again.
Much appreciated… And yes.. I’m def going to do MIB in the future. I wanted my next video up yesterday but I’ll be posting next Sunday. It was partly filmed in NYC.
6:37 that’s so awesomely scary that there is a Covid 19 testing van right outside Neville’s house, with the whole KrippinVirus and Coronavirus you can see the similarities
I only wish I could drive thru my city like he did in the beginning of the movie..I have memories on almost all those corners..especially East 4th and Wash Sq park, the lil red brick hotel in the triangle on 14st n west side highway mmm mmm But damn I despise all the new ugly stupid luxury buildings and all the stupid luxury ppl who live in them that know absolutely nothing about Nyc or care, and how everyone caters to those azzholes who don’t even live here all year round 🤨
The fact that you are able to locate all these shots is insane, great job
Many thanks!

Thanks a lot.
Love this video of one of my favorite movies. Was so sad about his dog though

I mean if you watch the movie and you see like how nature takes over New York City is actually really nice I’m not gonna lie because you see how quiet New York is honestly it’s very beautiful
The coolest thing for me to that was when NYC was shutdown last year. Quiet and empty. It was kinda eerie making my deliveries during that time.
love it!!! thanks so much!

You missed the aircraft carrier nearby.
Or was this an entirely different location?
I showed it from the street view. It was closed for a little while.

My dude, when you put your hand in front of the camera to point at stuff… the camera just focuses on your hand.
you should do the christine john carpenter filming locations
Great suggestion!
My only question is how they make those streets look so worn out and almost plant life sticking up out of the pavement
Amazing how they can create that look with cgi and practical effects.
Wait a second did the gas station actually ever exist or was that like 3-D
It did really exist at one time.
Which Will Smith plays golf in real life.
I love NYC but evidently people there didn't get the memo about masks
