Thank you Bonsai Empire for this wonderful video that recorded all important moments of this two-day demo on a very old and unique Mugo Pine that belongs to Danny Use. Being a virgin material that had only some main branches brought down many years ago, it was agreed to work on this tree both of the two days of the Trophy. This step was the tree’s first styling and we all know that this step is the most important while at the same time could be the most stressful for the tree. Therefore what matters the most is to prepare it with calm and attention, without any sort of refinement that could generate even a greater stress. Time and cultivation will do their part now, and for sure there will be several other steps before it arrives to the point that it can be shown in an exhibition. Many thanks to all the Organization for all their efforts and for giving me the chance to take part in the trophy once again!😊
I dont feel like the artist was ready for this level of tree. Electrical tap and guy wires that did not hold the branch in the position he wanted. The placement of the foilage feels sloppy. They should not be pointing down or just out but rather lift at the tip. From the new front the main branch was almost dead staight... maybe it was just the camera work 🤷
Could not agree less. The point of a live demo should not be your entertainment - who cares about a race against the clock? I wish live demos would be about education instead.

Agreed, and he was the only one who didn’t finish on time. There is no point of doing a live demo if you can’t show the end result to the audience.
