Love all the information The Planet D gives on their videos. We are new travel vloggers and The Planet D has really helped us and given us a good idea of how to vlog. Great job guys!
China has recently opened up to the world . I think westerners have their own visions of what the media portrays .But when you visit China your perceptions really Change. In my experience when I visited last year .I think the Chinese are some of the most hospitable and warm people in the world . Long live China and it's great people. Love from the U.K. !!!
I'm just back from my second visit to Beijing and I love the place. I found the people friendly, the Metro so easy to use, despite the map looking a little daunting, and the food was unbelievable. Thanks for a great video. I want to go back!
Thanks! We have another video on the Mutianyu Wall visit and loved it too. I was planning on doing a comparison video in the future. ua-cam.com/video/0xt1eUg-quM/v-deo.html I haven't gone to the Summer Palace but hopefully next time. I believe we went to Snack Street our first time in Beijing. It has the scorpions on skewers and other interesting snacks. I didn't get video of it the first time and wish I went back to see it again.
Great video, man. My favorite part of Beijing is the area around Shuangjing station. It is full of normal, middle class people, many of whom work in Guomao. Good food, even foreign food. Simple, somewhat affordable housing, and convenient. While it's not a tourist attraction per se, if you want to see how most Beijingers live, check it out.
I live in Beijing and been to almost all the places several times, you need to come in Spring from March till May, and only way you eill see with your eye, no camera i have seen captures the view than when you are there especially in the nighttime
This is such a great video filled with love. Well done Planet D. I personally would also love to recommend the two top universities (Peking and Tsinghua) located near the Summer Palace though. Tsinghua is my alma mater and its campus is quite unique for its integration of western and traditional Chinese architecture. Peking university is really pretty as well. :)
Do you need to go to a police station to fill in some forms for being in Beijing? I'm travelling this july to Beijing and I rent an Airbnb, so officially I have to fill in some forms at a police station. The internet says it is not necessary, but I don't know. What do you think?
I haven't stayed at an Air bnb in Beijing so perhaps it is different rules for that. But we have never had to go to the police station. As long as we had our Chinese Visa, we could stay at a hotel no problem.
Beijing is almost a default destination for foreign visitors. As a Chinese I have not much feeling about it. Shanghai, Hangzhou, GuangZhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Chengdu, etc, etc are much better place to visit. Besides the hot tourism spots, Beijing is a huge village.
I am the man that proposed planting trees with human waste and beneath them 6 feet down would be plastic and pipe to collect the waste water, all of which was a part of a global warming project presented to HU JINTAO in 2009, We were on line friends . in fact he came to HK to give me some assistance and the first time ever thata chairman has aided an american to expose corruption in the HK judiciary. In my opinion the best chairman i have met.a true man of the people. I used to have a home in Donguan china with a HK wife. I will visit china in the future to , I hope meet a future wife. I plan to bring fishing rods along and give away what fish I catch.
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. Before God we will all be together on the last day and those who will be destined for the lake of fire will experience the greatest shame before all the people who have ever walked this world. One by one they will have all their words, thoughts and actions, thought, spoken and performed during their lifetime, exposed to all
There is a true case in the Bible where a guy who at a time when it was common for rich men to have several wives, he only had one. At a time when a woman was worth less than a camel, and his belly warmed up on the stove and cooled in the tank, this very rich fellow, put his only wife in charge of his affairs, and he was called crazy. Are animals.

The people are very friendly aren't they? And yes, we agree, the Metro looks overwhelming, but it is easy to navigate once you get the hang of it.
@@ThePlanetD Yes People are friendLy , just u do not know their mentlitly

I'd add the Summer Palace and Snack Street to the list. Also for The Great Wall, go to Mutianyu rather than Badaling. Enjoyed the vlog.

As a Beijingnist, I would like to suggest you don't shopping in silk street because that's for tourist.....lol

This is very wholesome :)

Hi guys, great video. Im just wonder in which time of the year you made this video. Because looks like it was pretty nice and sunny. Thanks!
We were in Beijing at the end of September into the beginning of October and had a lot of sunny days
@@ThePlanetD nice and thanks. Keep traveling!

Welcome to Beijing
That hotpot sauce is not peanut sauce,it is sesame sauce. We rarely eat peanut sauce but sesame sauce in the north China.

A subway prepaid card will save you from buying tickets every time.
Thanks for the tip!
first time here....new subscriber from Nepal.
Thanks for stopping by! And we love Nepal, hope to come back soon!
What music did you use to create this movie?
We get our music from Epidemic Sound. I will look up the title for you and get back to you. I"m not at my desktop right now.
👍👍👍
😃👍👍👍👍👍
THANK YOU!
Prices please...?
China is cheap. Price wise I would say it is equal to Eastern European countries generally.
It is hard to believe that I am watching this video as a Chinese working in Beijing. lol
Enjoy Beijing! What a great city!
Cool, but you didn't show us Beijing's Chinatown.
😯
I want a Chinese hair with Hanfu

I was there 7 years ago! Great place to visit, and eat! I gain 15lbs in just 3weeks!! Lol
1St, the way he showed how to eat pekin duck is wrong. I've been many times at this restaurant and I enjoyed the food and the service too.
there is no wrong or correct way!
If I want to relocate Beijing, can I really get a job to survive
That's not ordinary soy bean paste. The Chinese name is 甜面酱, the literal translation is Sweet Flour Paste, it has little to do with soy bean.
Thanks for the clarification.

good video but..this is a very " foreign tour "... if you can get what I mean... :) it doesn't reflect the real Beijing. hope you enjoyed. 👍
Am from china bejing but i dotn live in china cuz am adopted
I hope you can make it home one day 😊

Just horrible to watch... These people are tourists. Not guides.
Yes, we are tourists visiting Beijing. We are not tour guides based there, but we do love the city and look forward to coming back!
