Just got done with my trip to Star Wars galactic cruiser and we ended up getting 4 legacy sabers. You could only get 2 per person and me and my nephew hopped on it. They marked up the price DRAMATICALLY. 4 light sabers, 4 blades and 4 light saber holders cost us almost $1,350 bucks. I personally don’t like how thick the Savi’s light sabers are. Plus from last weekend while I was there, you have to book savi’s 100 days in advance. That could change in the future. But be aware of massive price hikes.

Might be a dumb question but can you go through the workshop experience and not buy your lightsaber? I’d much have an actual main character lightsaber but the experience looks super cool
Definitely going to try to recreate my saber from Star Wars Jedi fallen order. Except I won't have access to the Jaro Tapal blade emitter... but the switch is protection and defense 2 and the sleeve is protection and defense 1 something tells me I won't be able to get the white duraplast material but I can always modify it later on and I will be having the purple blade sadly it doesn't look like I'll be able to recreate all the game features such as the double ended and the Dual wielding functions but I'm still going to be happy because I'm getting this saber for my birthday on January 13th the last time I was at Galaxy's Edge we couldn't afford it this time I'm coming back with plenty of money.
Personally, as someone who recently went to Disneyland and bought both types of lightsabers I'd give my vote to Savis. I say Savi's mainly because Legacy Lightsabers can be purchased online from third party vendors and Disney(Vader and Anakin's) and they're also available at Star Wars trading post at Downtown Disney which means you don't even need a park ticket to get a Legacy Lightsaber, while Savi's lightsaber you can only get if you're in the park meaning you need a ticket, another thing to consider is that Savi's lightsaber is your lightsaber it's your creation, while with Legacy sabers you are stuck with what they have at the stores available so if what you want is a popular legacy saber it might not even be in stock at all, so if you only have the money for one saber and you're going to a Disney park I think Savi's is really the way to go. Plus, Savis come with the experience a carrying bag and the blade and a legacy lightsaber doesn't work without any blade so a blade must be purchased which brings the total cost to almost close to the Savi's price.
We wanted to get all of them, but at the time we didn’t want to spend that much money haha. Eventually the whole collection will hopefully be in your hands. Enjoy the sabers!

The best choice is always - order a inner chassis with all the tech stuff of your choice. And built your own hilt at home with everyday tools you can use for steel. You can buy everything you need, take an old steel pipe of a duster for example as basis or something else. As long as the chassis with the tech fits into it. Always better than the overpriced cheap Disney stuff. And the best, you can be creative and you can built something that truly fits you and your personality - something you can always work on a bit more to change stuff, improve stuff anyway you like.
when I went to savi’s, I got a walk-in same day just like 3 hours later, so since capacity is starting to return back to normal, walk-ins are starting to get back.
Hello We are headed to Savis next week- they no longer provide the bags. My son is ASD- he needs a case!! Can you please tell me the diameter of the hilt - possibly w adornments- I am looking at alternative options for a case. He would be heart broken if he broke it- they only give a plastic bag now- Do you have the dimensions for the bag?? Pretty please
A Savi’s Workshop lightsaber is about 12 inches long and about 2 inches in diameter. The blade is aprox 34” The hilt weighs aprox 2 lbs Hope this helps!
Wait, you can buy the Youngling-Slayer 9000 at Disney? Honestly, though, I'd prefer to build my own. My senior class is going there for our trip this year and me and my friend are going to be building them together.
In your honest opinions, which is better? I would love to pay for the experience but I absolutely despise how thick and clunky those customs are. I’m used to the ultrasabers brand
I wouldn’t use either of these for dueling and or fighting. I would go with a company like Rebel Sabers, which are made specifically for that purpose. These are more for display and or cosplay.
Where did you get the boba fett helmet and the other helmets in the background? Also amazing video thank you I was still deciding what to choose for like a whole week
The boba Fett helmet was purchased from GameStop, and some we made ourselves. You may as well just get both at this point, since Disney is getting so expensive anyway!
I prefer Savi's Workshop because you get to make it your own, you get the building experience, and one of the biggest things for me, you can change the color and sound by changing out the khyber crystal. PS. Does anyone know what to do if it runs out of electricity? Haha.
"January, supposed to be the slow season"...post Covid with everyone teleworking and having time off, there are no good times of year or good days of the week. It's always packed now.
I rather pick up one because you have to make Appointments now So they might be booked on a full day and you only have tickets for that day but they’re only open for tomorrow so it’s better to pick one up all though you cannot Customize them
You can book months in advance (3 months I believe) just make sure that if you change your mind about it you need to cancel it like more than 24 hour prior to the appointment because they will still charge you if you cancel late or not show up.
if you get time to do some research, you would be surprised that you can get a pretty decent lightsaber WITH sound, changing colors and flash on clash, for under $100. Check out our recent review of the company Rebel Sabers.
hows the build quality compare? that's what I came here for. I assume that if you regularly handle both, the legacy being one piece would hold up better, right?
There are 1,536 different lightsabers you can construct within Savi's Workshop. However, if you want to play around with every last option available, there are well over 9 million "unique" lightsabers you can make!
Definitely I'll be going for my third time in January 2023 and you can book savis workshop 3months out from your trip but the choice in your video of which one to buy I'm going to go with the legacy lightsabers they are built to not break as easy and they hold the blade good and tight. The savis is good for the experience but the hilt where the blade goes in can be damaged it's not strong or meant to be swung around the legacy sabers you can swing around no problem. But I would do both but the better option is legacy unless you do savis workshop then go buy a 26' or 36' blade because the blades they give you don't last long.
Make sure you make a reservation at Savis workshop. Which none of these videos tell you. Or you will be turned away and have to buy a legacy light sabre.
You mean the Hasbro ones? You can get a stunt grade Ultrasabers or an Eco-grade Saberforge for the same price and it'll handle a lot heavier use and last a lot longer. Granted you don't get the fancy electronics, but they're a lot more durable than the Hasbro stuff.
This man deserves a Battle of Yavin metal for his supernatural ability to focus on lightsabers without constantly looking to his right.
I don’t like sand, it gets into your cleverage
Man's took a big gulp knowing the consequences
That's because he can play with them in private... And by them I mean lightsabers uhum...
He's probably seen Boba Fett's helmet plenty of times
Building my own lightsaber at Savi's was one of the single most amazing experiences of my entire life
Worth every penny
The experience was definitely different from anything we have ever done Star Wars related. Which theme and color did you end up going with?
I’d say it was worth it! Was down there today ready to do it and they rudely told me that I couldn’t. Ruined my day to a certain extent.
Sorry for your experience today, I hope you get to do it again soon

We are headed to Savis next week- they no longer provide the bags. My son is ASD- he needs a case!! Can you please tell me the diameter of the hilt - possibly w adornments- I am looking at alternative options for a case. He would be heart broken if he broke it- they only give a plastic bag now-
Do you have the dimensions for the bag?? Pretty please
A Savi’s Workshop lightsaber is about 12 inches long and about 2 inches in diameter.
The blade is aprox 34”
The hilt weighs aprox 2 lbs
Hope this helps!
Thank you for the information
Wait, you can buy the Youngling-Slayer 9000 at Disney? Honestly, though, I'd prefer to build my own. My senior class is going there for our trip this year and me and my friend are going to be building them together.
Thanks great job!
Our pleasure!
Both. Both are good
We did the Savi's Lightsaber experience on our trip and it was awesome! Totally worth it!
We absolutely plan on returning when it opens back up and possibly doing the experience again!
In your honest opinions, which is better? I would love to pay for the experience but I absolutely despise how thick and clunky those customs are. I’m used to the ultrasabers brand
The legacy sabers are just as thick and clunky and aren’t meant for dueling. We have exclusively been using rebel sabers for dueling purposes.
I have a big question which I haven't seen answered, I want one that won't break after fighting with it. Which one is more battle ready?
I wouldn’t use either of these for dueling and or fighting. I would go with a company like Rebel Sabers, which are made specifically for that purpose. These are more for display and or cosplay.
I go with Savi's Lightsaber
Where can I find the storm trooper art in the middle
That was a random screen saver we found online
Where did you get the boba fett helmet and the other helmets in the background? Also amazing video thank you I was still deciding what to choose for like a whole week
The boba Fett helmet was purchased from GameStop, and some we made ourselves.
You may as well just get both at this point, since Disney is getting so expensive anyway!
@@GalacticForceMedia thank you!
I booked my lightsaber build and I think the Davis work shop is better it’s meant for be seen not played with though
We’re can you get the kyber crystals
The crystals can be bought directly through galaxy’s edge at doc ondars
I prefer Savi's Workshop because you get to make it your own, you get the building experience, and one of the biggest things for me, you can change the color and sound by changing out the khyber crystal.
PS. Does anyone know what to do if it runs out of electricity? Haha.
If your blade gets dim, it may be the batteries.
@@GalacticForceMedia How do I change out the batteries?
@@GalacticForceMedia Nevermind I figured it out thanks. Super underrated video by the way and you guys deserve a sub
"January, supposed to be the slow season"...post Covid with everyone teleworking and having time off, there are no good times of year or good days of the week. It's always packed now.
When you created your own lightsabers and bought the Ben Solo and Reforged Skywalker lightsabers. Which was more expensive?
The create your own were more expensive.
Are the Savi’s Workshop sabers made of metal or plastic?
The shell components are metal, whereas the inner guts are plastic. Pretty hefty saber!
can you have more than one builder in savi’s at a time?
The main “builder” puts it together, but is allowed to have someone watching / taking photos.
These rules are referring to when we went.
I rather pick up one because you have to make Appointments now So they might be booked on a full day and you only have tickets for that day but they’re only open for tomorrow so it’s better to pick one up all though you cannot Customize them
True statements!
You can book months in advance (3 months I believe) just make sure that if you change your mind about it you need to cancel it like more than 24 hour prior to the appointment because they will still charge you if you cancel late or not show up.
I thought this was about lightsabers? Wasn't expecting to see the new TiTi class mammarian bomber ships
Which one is better quality? Which one is heavier ? If rather have a hefty one
Personally like the legacy sabers better overall.
is there a way to charge the saber after a while
You have to change the batteries
I found a guy who can reprogram the RFID chip in the kyber crystal to change the colors and sounds... using an RDID reader and writer
Now, what colour was the colour I mean saber
Not sure we understand your question 🙃
You have so many lightsabers! You lucky peeps!
I really hope to get one someday myself but they're just so much $$$! Sounds totally worth it though!
if you get time to do some research, you would be surprised that you can get a pretty decent lightsaber WITH sound, changing colors and flash on clash, for under $100. Check out our recent review of the company Rebel Sabers.
hows the build quality compare? that's what I came here for.
I assume that if you regularly handle both, the legacy being one piece would hold up better, right?
Personally I like the legacy. It’s a one piece operation, whereas the savi, being in pieces, more can go wrong.
i would make a protection and defence with purple cristal buy the other crystals and get a mace windu lightsaber
Someone said there were lightsabers in this video?
Damn green screens
If you could swap crystals/colors legacy sabers would probably be a much better deal.
The thing about the legacy sabers are that the colors already match to their character and their respective saber.
The force is strong
If What You've Told Me Is True, You Will Have Gained My Trust
There’s only so many parts at savis workshop, so wouldn’t some people have the same saber
There are 1,536 different lightsabers you can construct within Savi's Workshop. However, if you want to play around with every last option available, there are well over 9 million "unique" lightsabers you can make!
How is the quality of materials between the Legacy and Custom?
Personally I like the legacy sabers better, granted both are made nicely
wow, they are nice
The pair?
Savi is the big winner
It was a great experience putting it together
I went to Disney galaxies edge opened the day after I left
More reason to go back!
Definitely savi’s
It depends on what you're willing to go through to get one.
Slow time is December-January
We were able to get a time slot with no issues when we went. January is the time to go!
But I would do both but the better option is legacy unless you do savis workshop then go buy a 26' or 36' blade because the blades they give you don't last long.
and when i went back this year i build a droid.
Make sure you make a reservation at Savis workshop. Which none of these videos tell you. Or you will be turned away and have to buy a legacy light sabre.
Motor. Boat.
Thanks for the info but I'll stick with my plastic Walmart saber
Fair enough!
I want to have everyone else’s opinion
Which has best QUALITY
They are both most likely made by the same warehouse / machines, so they are prob pretty close to being the same thing
@@GalacticForceMedia ah ok Thank you
@@thegrandinquisitor2838 but the legacy is one peice
Buenas toñas
I think that the plastic fx lightsabers are the best budget lightsabers
You mean the Hasbro ones? You can get a stunt grade Ultrasabers or an Eco-grade Saberforge for the same price and it'll handle a lot heavier use and last a lot longer. Granted you don't get the fancy electronics, but they're a lot more durable than the Hasbro stuff.
I wouldn’t duel with a Hasbro saber. Just not made for it.
Yowzer
Bro I accidentally made the same hilt as the guy with the glasses. Eh whatever is a cool combination.
I’m sure thousands of people have made the same saber over and over at galaxy’s edge 😬
Savi’s
