As unbelievable as his talent was musically....he was an even greater father to his kids and partner to their mother. My oldest and his oldest daughters are friends and our 1yr olds will be as well I’m sure. He was a quiet and reserved guy around us, but you could tell he was a decent man. We’ll do our best to make sure your family gets through this and comes out okay.

Feel so blessed to have seen Michael perform in Cleveland with the Nick Moss Band a few years back. He gained 2 huge new fans with my husband and I that night at the Music Box Supper Club - we were blown away from the moment he started singing and knew he was someone special. We just found out recently he passed away, and are so sorry to have lost such a talent. He was obviously born to sing the blues. We'll never stop listening. Condolences to the family, and thank you Michael for singing to us in the front row that night.

i saw him with nick moss and with mike welch and he is the best blues singer i've ever seen and i've seen many many blues bands. what a shame we didn't have mike for longer.

It was amazing to watch this from the front row. We had no idea it would be the last time they would play the Bender together. His passing is still felt by us and so many others in the music community.

I saw Mike Ledbetter perform with the Kilborn Alley Band. He was hired as a guitarist and he did a pretty good job. But he sang two songs, too --- and that was probably the most powerful performance I ever saw. The intensity he unleashed on stage was scary. Even more when he let the mic go and easily filled the room with his unamplified voice. None of this can ever be conveyed on youtube or any other rocording. So: sad - and rip.
Mega talented man. The man had pipes. What a tragedy, I'm so sorry for his family, friends, fans, the universe
