I'm from New Zealand I'm leaving my crappy job next week I'll be picking fruit thank you guys put me on the rite path looked on the net it's hard to find information
Hi Kay & Dom, Thank you for a really informative and interesting video. The funny thing is I treated myself to a punnet of Organic Rasperries this weekend and when I opened them this morning there was a blonde hair in amongst them and I wondered how it got there (we are all mousey coloured hair in our house!) now I know thank you Dom! My question is as someone who attracts insect/midge bites where ever I go I wondered if you have the same problem especially given the job you are doing and if so what do you use to keep the little critters at bay or if they bite you what do you use to soothe a bite? (Kay sooo excited to see you are starting your Life Coaching course next month 😁 and Emmie Luna is correct your hair is absolutely beautiful!) Love to you both from back home. Gill. XXX😘
Yikes! Well i'm glad we could help solve the mystery but i'm not sure that was supposed to be in there!! 😂🙈 For whatever reason, doing this job the mozzies don't seem to be around... We have seen (and been stung!) by more hornets than we've been bothered by biting things. When we were travelling the south island and struggling with sandflies, we found essential oils worked really well - we use the Purification blend but i believe anything with lemongrass in keeps them at bay, though can make your skin suuuuuper sun-sensitive so use with caution! Thanks as always for your support Gill xxx♥️
Love how flexible you and Dom are Kay. Makes life so much easier and more interesting. Enjoyed this Q+A. Fruit picking during the day and sleeping near the beach, and falling asleep to the rumbling of the sea waters. My idea of paradise. NZ is most surely agreeing with you guys. All the best.
Hello you two Lovelies. We enjoyed your video thank you for explaining exactly what you do on the farm. When you go back to Queensland Dom we know you are going back to snowboarding but Kay what are you going do?
I remember some times I worked 7am until 9pm haha!! Right in the middle of the season they wanted to just get orchards done so we could even do night picking with headlamps! :P But it was optional of course to stay longer on go home :)
In response to your previous video regarding veganism or whatever: I just wanted to say that I felt upset that you felt upset about the whole video. You have every right to do what’s right for you, you don’t owe it to anyone. You shouldn’t apologize. You did nothing wrong. You do you. You don’t even ever need to tell anyone what you eat or who you are, people shouldn’t follow you or unfollow you depending on that. Be strong don’t be weak don’t succumb to these idiots. Be you whatever you feel like you are today. Even if you change tomorrow, be you. You are beautiful.
Hi 😀 thanks for your videos traveling around new Zealand. Two little dogs missing from Dunedin. Possibly picked up by tourist from the Otago Peninsula from October 17th. Follow the Facebook page. Dice and Weeed - Bring them home. My question is. If you find a lost dog what would you do ?
Simple - apply for the job visa on the internet, book your flight and get a job when you are in the country fruit picking or other farm work. For office work you need a job offer before you go but the country prefers to give those jobs to local residents. Unless say it is for senior managerial positions then those jobs you apply directly to the company in your country. Hope this helps you.
We are currently on Working holiday visas which means you don't need a job offer to arrive in New Zealand as the visa is intended to be used for holidays, primarily. If you wanted to move to New Zealand to work permanently you would need to look into skilled visas and residency requirements :)
