Hi sorry for the bearla, I'm and adopted child in Canada. met and love my birth family, found out my McKeever/Hegarty great-grandparents came from Derry but my family is from Donegal, the second and third generations in Canada magically had children with people from our home area, yielding me, 💯 Irish in Canada. Gaelic and my home burns inside of me so strongly. My ancestry is in Donegal❤, I'm so excited to learn our Gaelic! I want to move back home so bad, see you in a year or two! I want to be able to speak fluent Gaelic and live in Donegal! My heart burns in me when I listen to you speak our language! It just feels like home, so right...listening, even though I can't understand yet. I'm just dying to learn. My family is excited to meet me in Derry. can't wait to join a kitchen session with my family! Thank you so much for your beautiful channel! Slàinte ☘️🐦‍⬛from Chatham Ontario

The sound of Irish Gaelic is very beautiful, the consonants and vowels in the spoken language change their sound, it reminds a little of French, and it reminds a lot of Maltese, Aramaic and Hebrew in pronunciation, a lot of aspirated, palatal and nasal sounds, a language charming. You guys created a beautiful dialogue in Irish.
Kisses on you and in your soul Oísin, hugs 💋💋💋🌻💐🌼🌼🏵️🍺🍻🌹❤️🫂

Go raibh maith agat le agallamh an aisteoir Oisin le Ros na Run. Tuigim níos mó an gaeilge go hairithe an fear mar tá sé ag caint gaeilge simplí. Ar laghad, labhraionn tu Gaeilge go halainn le ‘texture’ ar nos Sean Mac Mathúna. Go raibh maith agat, aris.

Tá scéal agam faoin teach tábhairne Roartys. Chuaigh muid isteach ar an taobh mícheart ar dtús (ní raibh a fhios againn go raibh sé don phobal áitiúil) agus d'ordaigh mé na deochanna as Gaeilge. Bhí gach duine cinealta, níor dúirt siad aon rud faoi 😅
An dara huair, chuaigh muid isteach ar an taobh eile, ach lean mé ar aghaidh leis an Ghaeilge a labhairt agus d'fhreagair siad i nGaeilge.

Go raibh maith agat. An suimiúil! Is aoibhinn liom a beith ag éisteacht leis an gnáth comhra trí gaeilge. Táim i gcónaí ag trail as mo chuid gaeilge a fheabhsú agus tá do chanel an úsáideach.

Go ndéana a mhaith duit a Phóil 🤗 coinnigh ort leis an Ghaeilge!

Unfortunately, that's due to colonialism and English imperialism, as it is for several other places, but the oppression of the Irish language was extensive for hundreds of years. There are still native speakers and those who have it as their first language. It is making a comeback and is even spoken in other countries now too by people who enjoy learning the language.

Could you please do subtitles as Gaeilge, apart from English translation? That would be extremely helpful for learners. 💕

Sure, like, I had to stop listening to him, like, saying 'like' all the time - like. Is mór an trua - mar is feidir liom a thuiscint an chuid is mó cad a bhi sé ag rá as Gaeilge.
