Started listening to this album several months ago, when the intro to this song first came on, I immediately thought "what the hell is this rubbish", a few replays later it became my favourite part of this song, which is one of my favourite songs from Kadomatsu. Very catchy indeed.
Me encanta este género de música pop urbano japonés, suena super groovy y el bajo funky es lo mejor, ésta y la de Airport Lady son mis favoritas hasta ahorita ❤

I've been addicted to most of kadomatsu-san's stuff since I was 16, especially this song in particular. It's remarkably pretty, not to mention sharp. :>
Assuming the "86" in your username is your birth year, you've been a fan of Kadomatsu-san for 20 years now (give or take). I gotta say, that's pretty impressive, considering that the majority of city pop fans/lovers on UA-cam are relatively new thanks to the algorithm and many others by the day are discovering (and becoming instant fans) of this type of music.
@@epochseven4197 I'm one of those new ones lol, but it's thanks to a Twitch streamer singing Plastic Love. Became a fan of Anri first though, but here I am now. I loooove "If You", also by Kadomatsu, same album. Apparently he has two albums that are just instrumentals. Really curious about those.
I started listening to citypop because of Kaoru Akimoto song Dressdown but I became in love with the songs, culture, architecture and the country so much. These songs keep me calm and relaxed!
I love anime and manga but not as much as the Japanese films and everything about Japan is perfect! I am planning on moving there in the future tu pursue my film career!

@@AaronFitzgerald toshiki kadomatsu (the dude who is singing in this song) is a Japanese music artist from the 80’s and most of his work would be clustered under the sub-genre “CityPop” ( I believe it was called “New Wave” or New Music” tho back in 80’s Japan), in which Kadomatsu is one of the big names, being one of the most popular artists in that genre. Casiopea is also from 80’s Japan, but they belong to the genre “Jazz-Fusion.” They were immensely popular back then, especially when looking at their influence on gaming soundtracks (the super Mario bros theme was based off one of their songs). I heavily recommend you dig into both of their catalogues, as I personally have been utterly infatuated with them ever since discovery, most of their music should be easily found here on UA-cam
FYI, those musicians in the 80s in Japan somehow connected with each other. Of course Kadomatsu worked with some musicians from Casiopea in the album called 'Sea is a lady' (I think the bassist and drummer afa I remember). In the late 90s Kadomatsu produced the album for JIMSAKU (the band put together by former Casiopea's bassist and drummer). It is not Citypop(more sophisticated sound) but worth listening to, check it out.

For me it was Seiko Matsuda's kimono beat and from there I went down the city pop hole
For me I was watching a gamer and singer on Twitch singing Plastic Love, but it seems Plastic Love is the starting point for a lot of people lately.

Slow It Down - Charlie Puth
Close To You - Day Glow
