What an incredible atmosphere at Bloomfield Road as what felt like 'half of Glasgow' came down to watch Rangers run out 2-1 winners.
Every credit to Rangers fans they never stopped singing it was 'hair stood up on the back of your neck' at times SIMPLY SUPERB support from "The Bears"

Was so looking forward to seeing Rangers, and they didn’t disappoint, the Rangers fans were incredible, so friendly and I would say one of the best atmospheres I’ve ever experienced at Bloomfield, hope they make this fixture an annual event now, especially with Glasgow’s connection with Blackpool, so many live down here and visit the town. 🧡💙⚽️👌

oh yeah it was absolutely cracking atmosphere Blackpool is one of the best in the Championship its very loud for a proper league game and we also sing for most of the game. Those flags though! how on earth do they keep waving them for 9- minutes it really is quite amazing to watch they are some big flags as well to wave - I couldn’t do it, not a prayer my back would be killing for a week

First time going to Blackpool yesterday and it was a cracking trip. The fans are a credit to their community, all were sound and welcoming. Will be back to catch a Pool league game.

Yes for some reason Blackpool fans get tarred with the wrong brush at times! we are actually super friendly we are a tourist resort at the end of the day and the whole town ethos is built on welcoming people to stay and have fun. You must let me know if you ever come back and catch a game so we could meet up before the game, would be a great story🙂

I totally agree it was beyond anything I have ever seen too and we get on so well with Rangers it really needs to be an annual event, they love coming here and we loved having them 🧡🤍

The atmosphere was great for a pre-season game.
Blackpool played well in the first half, caused us a few problems.
Rangers played better in the second half, and it's great to get minutes into legs across the squad.

Honestly James like you say for a pre-season friendly it blew my mind I have never heard anything like that from Away fans! Sure we get some loud ones but my gosh it never let up the whole 90 minutes. Made for a fantastic day and memory. Best of luck to you too 🙂👍🏻⚽️

Almost in tears watching this back was born and raised a rangers supporter. It through my own choice I decided to start supporting blackpool....one of the best decisions I've ever made...my clubs...my heart I would die for rangers and blackpool and yesterday just shows that Blackpool football club and me... hand and hand

Was some atmosphere at the game, we never stopped singing for 90 mins . Just like a home game for the bears but wish the pool all the best for this season W.A.T.P

Loved the video guys...amazing atmosphere for a preseason game and I'm feeling a little more positive for Pool after a decent outing against a very good Rangers side. It should be an interesting week coming up for Blackpool. I'm expecting a couple of more additions to the squad by this time next week.

We do have a love of Glasgow in Blackpool for obvious reasons (you keep the town going half of the time) and we have made many friendships in our town over the years. My family always have rooted for Rangers so naturally you are my favourites but we don’t have the hatred obviously the same as you have up there.
Have to say though the Rangers fans were absolutely unbelievable yesterday you came to party and party you did

Been to Blackpool once back in 2003 & it was honestly one of the best places i've ever visited, the people are lovely & seeing the Illuminations at night was magical! Love from Belfast guys ❤️🇬🇧
I’m really glad that you have such happy memories of Blackpool Mark as it so often gets bad press but it is a lovely town with the friendliest of people 🙂

yeah we can dream as well Gary I think most here are praying we stay up especially after losing Critch and signing players seems to be like pulling teeth here at the moment there is not much in the pot it’s all being earmarked for the training ground and building the East Stand

I hope they make it happen, it’s a great boost for the local economy and Blackpool is very popular with the Scots they love to come down to Blackpool and they were absolutely fantastic in their support and it is a great standard to play against🙂

Looks like it was an interesting game. I recall Leeds playing Rangers back in 1992 in the new Champions League! It was called the Battle of Britain.
You don't get much of that sort of thing in Blackpool most people who visit us are here to party and we love to join in with 'em 😁
@@LeeCharlesTV Ah! I've not been much to Blackpool, as our resort is Bridlington at the other end, but on the occasions I have visited, I thought it looked very nice along the Promenade. I've often thought it surprising that the clubs in PL/Championship don't more often entertain Scottish clubs in close season friendlies. Leeds should have done that, instead of a trip Down Under with hard pitches and questionable refereeing!
And it's reasonably warm weather during the summer 😉🙂👍🏻

totally agree shugie Blackpool was absolutely heaving this weekend it was great to see it so busy, fabulous for the town and an absolutely cracking pre-season friendly. I often think it could be a great boost if Scottish teams were brought into the FA Cup, the big clubs in England don’t even care about it that much anymore but, I can imagine what it would be like if we ever played Rangers in a competitive game and for me it is still one of the most magical tournaments
Put it this way Lee, I had more interest in this game than the leeds v Brisbane roar one, I enjoyed your vlog, good to see rangers and blackpool fans mixed in together in the stands, and by the way I'm glad Jane is a coronation Street fan, as am I.
Oh yes I know she is a big Corrie fan. Yeah Leeds v Brisbane Roar no competition with our game for sure 😂

Thanks Davie and yes it would make a lot of sense I hope it happens. Years ago we used to play in the Lancashire Cup a little mini tournament. Something like that could be really good but it was pretty much perfect as it was - just a great competitive friendly🙂⚽️

My cousin's lad has just joined Blackpool lewis fiorini on a season longs lone from city.He is some player and will do well for you.Lewis was brought up half a mile from city's ground and has been at city since the age of 5, we are all city fans and have seen the lot over the last 40 years and are proud of lewis.Good luck next season 👍

Un real support as per usual just unfortunate we didn't get more tickets on our final away game when we sold 4k atleast another 2-3k wanted to go would've been magical
Do you mean for Derby? if so we couldn’t do that because we don't have the seats available. Because it was a friendly we gave Rangers our South Stand which on a match day is full of our own season ticket holders obvs. When we get the East Stand finally built there should be lots more room. We are still firefighting the damage of the Oyston years

If you don't mind me asking, what are you using to record the footage? I think I've a similar seat at ibrox but you had some great close-up shots of both ends, as well as the centre circle and dugout area when players went off for subs. Really impressive. You've got a new subscriber - best of luck next season. Wasn't at the game but looked like a great day out. Wouldn't mind if this fixture became a regular occurrence pre-season.

In answer to your question I use 2 cameras the Sony ZV1 for the interviews and our talks to camera and I film the clips of the game and the b-roll close ups of the crowd and subs and anything else I can capture to tell the story I film on a sony Rx100vii which has a 200mm optical zoom which extends to 300mm with digital if you need that extra reach.
@@LeeCharlesTV Cheers, the zoom and equipment you are using really makes a difference! I watch a lot of fan vlogs after our games and never seen anything as good as this.
Thank you really appreciate the comment I just love making movies as much as watching Blackpool 2 of my biggest passions the hard bit is editing it all in 7-8 hours and having to run and gun everything. I'm really pleased that you notice and I will enjoy seeing how your vlogs develop as I get the feeling you obsess over it like I do.
@@LeeCharlesTV I've not got any vlogs or anything like that to contribute, just a bit of interest in video editing and your footage really stood out. At times it looked like broadcast quality, and I was thinking that looks even better than if you were sat there using your eyes instead of the camera. Also enjoyed the interviews before the game, good that you spoke to fans of both sides to get a mixture of opinions and everyone seemed comfortable talking about their predictions. Could hear the singing (from both sides) watching the RTV stream from home, sounded like a great atmosphere especially for a friendly. That's what brought me here but well impressed with the overall video. Will make sure to watch more of your uploads in the future!

Blackpool has it’s fair share of Scots and we always enjoy having you down visiting us. I’m sure the same can be said for any Massive club! I wonder how many fans Globally the likes of United, City Arsenal et all have. Even Blackpool have quite a large following down South and we have loads of exiles living abroad who watch our videos we picked up lots of fans abroad when we were in the Premier League as well
