I just got my own ninja 125 and for what I've read online these bikes can actually go up to 130 km/h but from factory they come with an electronic limiter that limits it at 117 km/h on the speedometer. Although the 130 km/h is given that there is no wind and you are going either downhill or flat at least of course xD Got inspired by this channel to buy the 125 actually 😊 Thanks for your amazing content by the way you deserve way more viewers
Does anyone know if you can fit a quad lock stem mount on the ninja 125? That black part looks like a cover, I’m just not sure if it comes off or not 😂
I had Suzuki GSX - S125, 2023. The maximum speed I ever did was 78 miles. Also, it very depends on the wind direction or if I ride behind a big lorry...😅
Pretty impressive considering the drag from your open visor and chin bar camera. Plus you didn't tuck in that much. Put BSB rider Richard Cooper on it around the North West 200 circuit and we'll see (he'd probably tinker with the gearing too)!
My new 2024 Kawasaki ninja 125 hits 72MPH but then pulls back. most likely fitted with a limiter as I can feel it wanting to do more, but it always reduces in power after hitting the 72mph target.
I just picked up a Z125 and apart from the clip ons and the fairings it looks to be exactly the same as the Ninja my only complaints are the exhaust note is a bit to thumpy for me the tool kit is pretty crap fo a 4k bike the one I got with my Sym NHX was much nicer my rightfoot sits on the exhaust and I don't know if it is by design but the foot pegs have wiggle in them but apart from that its a lovely bike
I got a CBR300R and it will do right at 100mph! It will cruise all day at 55-65mph! I wouldn’t want to go any smaller unless I was using it just in town!
I had cbr125 she would have done 85 no probs rode 125 for thirty odd year am 54 now and only done my test three years ago av a gsxr600 now some piece of kit she can boogie the 125 great fun
Off topic question. I'm on 2 bars of petrol left on my ninja 125, how many miles do you think its got left in the tank as an experienced rider on the ninja? As I've only had this bike for 2weeks and not sure how much I can trust the fuel bars, as my old bike always said 2 bars but basically meant empty haha.
i have the voge r125. got 51 mph going up a hill in 6th gear, about 7k revs. not bad. bikes still new so breaking it in but will give an update on top speed after first service
Also surprises me it only goes 70mph... My old 50cc aprilla area 51 scooter from 1998 was fully de-resricted and on a flat she wud pull 60mph. So impressive for the time, and a 50cc
@@xixflair6511 Im not sure on the details, but it'll probably need you to hook the Bike's computer up to a PC and do something, or even completely cut out a chip and solder/wire in a new chip. Some bikes even limit you by making the throtlte cable/throttle handle only go up to 80%
@des1990 I think you're mostly correct there, the newer bikes are all electronically limited like you've mentioned. Do you think it could be a similar process to when you restrict a bike down to A2, by having a restricted ecu put in place. Therefore to undo said restriction it'd either be a new ecu or a way to "flash" the old one?

On my cb125r wind has a ridiculous impact on top speed, most likely because its a naked bike. The quoted top speed is 65mph, but if your willing to hold 5th kiss the tank you can get just over 70mph on flat ground. In a headwind recently the speedo wouldn't go above 55mph in 6th gear but on the way back it touched 78mph. Definitely doesn't have a speed limiter on mine but the top speed is a little lower than that kawasaki Definitely
I have the 2023 model and added a windshield - get to an indicated 85 and thing can hold 70 with plenty throttle pair for overtakes - may be worth considering
@@andyhughes466 mines a 2021 so does have the updated engine with the full 15bhp, I have managed to get an indicated 80mph but the revs was 10.5k was buzzing its tits off lol, I do have a small windshield it does help
I have a WR125X which also peaks at 73mph - i thought it was me eating to many Kebabs at 14 Stone 5 😂 That being said descent Torque up to 40mph for 15bhp.
You'll just about be doing that comfortably on a stock ninja 400. 4rr a bit different. This why a stranger that never rode will tell you 400 is enough, while you are sitting on a 400 single cylinder dirtbike that tops at 80mph. Very few even into casual rider have an idea about cc/cylinder, torque/horsepower or what each category can do, makes easy to pass some silly blanket laws.
FYI an average 4 stroke 125cc will never (never) outrun a cheetah at its top speed (120 km/h = 74 mph) since your bike, at its top speed, will only go up to 110 km/h = 68 mph on a good day.

@@epopmas6192 yes its just a filler cap to cover gap, you just have to ply it out then fit the quad lock system. i have it on my ninja 125

Ive just got a suzuki gsxr 125, not done top speed yet but it does 70mph in 4th gear. (Indicated speed).
Remap the ecu, or see if you can get a fuel injection tuner, swap out the airfilter for a K&N, and run a slip-on
Should try the gsxr125 that’s very quick for a 125

1 bar is reserve so 2 bars is about 1/5 of a tank
Apparently it's a 10% increase on the Speedo to make you slower. That's what I've always heard

The reading of speedometer is late.
My 2023 Yamaha MT shows 85 MPH on the speedo on a slight downhill, so I'm guessing with correction is about 82-83 MPH.

Try that using a SatNav & you'll find 73mph registered = 68mph true speed

The ninja a good bike I had a 300 ninja then 650 ninja then z900 Kawasaki went down to gsxr600 within two years
