Eggplants, Gari, beans, rice, tomatoes with onions - It will be a tomato soup featuring eggplants with sides of rice and gari. No meat but delicious and easy to add some eggs or fish. She bought wele (skin) for the soup, but still that's not meat.
We didn't see you enjoy anything as you bought those little simple house staples to cook at home I didn't see you eat or drink anything especially from the states we want to see this what can we eat there somewhere unless there is nothing like this but normally there is that's a lot of walking to not even have a drink or anything to eat something to snack on till you get home and cook
It's African country and i believe food stuff should be cheaper. Rice looks too expensive compared in our country. In that price i can pay kilo and half in my country
Well this is not Ghana’s famous market. You are shopping at an illegal market along the street and in the middle of a dual carriage road, Kwame Nkrumah Avenue. They should not be selling where pedestrians are suppose to walk and force pedestrians to walk-in the street which is very dangerous.
I thought using your left hand in general and for exchanging money is frowned upon? My wife is Ghanaian and I'm trying to learn the customs..and I'm left handed..
I’m an American. if I was there, I would hire you to shop for me because we all know once they see me as an American they gonna jack up the price so what you get for it will be way different than what I can get for it 😮😮😮
That’s a really exciting market area! I’ve no idea what half of it is, but I would definitely try it all. They’re generous too when measuring out, and always adding an extra handful 😊
A wrap up of what you purchased would have been great to see. I would definitely hire you to shop for me, the crowd was a bit much. Great to see how its done in different countries, thanks!❤❤
I am an obroni who went to Ghana for a month in 2018 and I was floored by the markets and the food there. It was my first trip out of the USA and I learned so much. I stayed for a month. I didn't want to come back to the rat race. This video should read, feed 2 adults for 2 days with $10.
Some of the buildings are warehouses, they keep thier stuffs there but the small traders usually keep their stuff in other people's shops, they ask permission.
Hi this is the first time I stumble on your channel and I love love the contents ❤ I would love for you to show more of the african clothing and authentic african materials and things like that. Thanks for sharing.
No cooked food stalls or something like that or a drink of any kind you need to do content for the one with could visit your country and we want to see those things like eating clothes and decor and even what are the things that people have in their home that would be something we would buy for our home as something to treasure you were just buying like for yourself stretching that dollar over and beyond with little cheap eats to cook for you
You are so uneducated. You should read and understand that US is the capital of the financial world hence American money is traded in most countries in the world.
I’m watching this from North Carolina USA and all I see are smart people who are out in the heat and pouring rain taking care of business. We as Americans are lazy because we would find any excuse not to go to work in the rain 😢 BRAVO 🙌 👌
We didn't get to be the best country in the world by being lazy. We've built hospitals, schools, factory, supermarkets, housing, churches, department stores, farms not because we are lazy but because we work hard for every thing this country has. We'd be living in that filth if it were not for hard working Americans.
Is $10 american dollars equal to $120 Ghana cedis. So $100 american dollars equal to $1000 Ghana cedis. And $1000 american dollars equal to $10000 Ghana cedis. Does anyone knows?
Also you should have shown at the end what you bought so we could have gotten a visual.
.... and made a meal with what you purchased 🤔
Yes, I would have loved to seen everything

This is a very enjoyable video 👍👍. So much different than Portland Oregon.
Thank you for helping the man with a cane. 😊
After you but the limit, lay it all out on a table and show the camera all of the things you purchased for 10 dollars

Where is this market located in Ghana?
Well this is not Ghana’s famous market. You are shopping at an illegal market along the street and in the middle of a dual carriage road, Kwame Nkrumah Avenue. They should not be selling where pedestrians are suppose to walk and force pedestrians to walk-in the street which is very dangerous.

they are predominately christian and they have running water, soap and toiler paper
Thank you for video! Why don't any of the sellers have scales?
Scales are usually used for meat. Aside that I actually don't know the reason most sellers don't have scales, I've not actually asked anyone.
I would never ever go there for anything. 😔 no one speaks English or do they even act nice to anyone. No thanks .
Pls 5 cedi is 40 cents and not 4 cents
U calculated the currency wrong in dollars ooo
Pls change it before you mislead people
where?
@@AfricanStreetMarket Because the .4 didn't have a zero after it. I think most people understand.😅
Omg, 10 dollars wouldn’t stretch like that here in the U.S. 😂😂😂
she was generous with the rice. love it
💜It seems you got lots of good things for the 10 dollars!! 🎉 What a market!!¡😮😮😮
Great Video, lots ignorant comments on here. I must say the person that sells the Black Bags is the REAL WINNER HERE....LOL
Have a Great Day.
Now I want to be in relationship with a women from Ghana cause they know how to handle business

obroni! X10!!!
My people are beautiful!!! I love the open-air markets!!! Everyone doing business. I will come there one day!!
That’s a really exciting market area! I’ve no idea what half of it is, but I would definitely try it all. They’re generous too when measuring out, and always adding an extra handful 😊
No thank you.

She didn't buy any meat. Vegetarian dinner, but not bad and eggs are always dirt cheap in Ghana.
That's a lot of food for $10.00 in Ghana Market. ❤😊 120= cediss.
no cooked food sellers🙁
🤔 why do they Blow the horns in these country 😢so much . I’m sorry but I would probably lose it.😣
Can we collaborate together
Wow you could buy for a whole week on 10 bucks
I wonder how much is a car over there
Very single item purchased was in a black PLASTIC bag, there is a need to cut back on plastics. This needs to be investigated for an alternative.
Interesting! Would like to see what the market areas look like at night. Does everyone cover their stuff or store it somewhere?
Some of the buildings are warehouses, they keep thier stuffs there but the small traders usually keep their stuff in other people's shops, they ask permission.
I wish things were so cheap in Haiti 🇭🇹🇭🇹. $10 can't buy nothing in Haiti.. what a shame 😢
mosquitos at night, shops close mostly.
Its very different how nobody says thank you or anything after doing business with them just stern looks... very different.
I thought you would end by showing everything altogether on a table.
Can you do a comparison in the local supermarket same products same $10 usd
Hi this is the first time I stumble on your channel and I love love the contents ❤ I would love for you to show more of the african clothing and authentic african materials and things like that. Thanks for sharing.

People looking like they eating good the look healthy if you know what I mean I didn’t see one rib cage on anyone
Would’ve kept my money. Seriously!
I wonder why our money is over there
What can they be doing with my American money?
You are so uneducated. You should read and understand that US is the capital of the financial world hence American money is traded in most countries in the world.
You mean Chinese money right?
Are there any grocery stores or is it all open air market
Be very careful of these people very dangerous...

In Africa, it is very rare that you would see armed robberies. Africans go out to hustle - work for money or you won't eat.
Not all American ppl isnt like that. I live her in Florida I work all the time rain or shine.
@@iridesoloimlovingme4724 is like that.
Maybe the Americans you're around because I work with people and we all in the heat, rain, snow, storms, and more working hard labor jobs.

Ghanaians' legal tender is cedis and not dollars
An American will not get the same prices.
Great idea for a video! You got a lot of stuff.
Glad you liked it!!

I'd love to go just to buy some clothes 😊
I was just watching another video before this that a lot of clothing is donated/dumped in different regions by the garbage load. 😮
WOW! Such low prices!😲
Well they have a sale for mangoes now at La Bonita here in Las Vegas 3 for $5 smh
It’s almost like they have no feelings 😮
It's just strictly business
Exactly. They don’t seem to say hello, excuse me, or thank you. They don’t have on gloves while handling the rice either. Unsanitary.
Survival mode😢
Is the produce grown by the merchants, or resold from wholesale distributors?
resold from wholesale distributors.
largest market ever seen😏
But anywhere nice video and keep it up ❤
