I didn't have a chance to watch your video completely (I'm putting it in my history so I can watch it later) but your character design reminds me of the characters from Red Wall. In case you don't know what Red Wall is, it's a book series from was published from the 80's to the early 2000's and has sadly died in popularity. My older brother was in love with the series and would read the books to me when I was really young. It's funny how the most random things can bring back nostalgia. If you're planning on creating other similar character designs I suggest you look up some of the Red Wall characters since they could give you some more inspiration.
