Her company now focuses on rap, vocals, stage presence, live performance, entertaining the crowd, making sure she's comfortable in her skin and is happy to be doing what she's doing. And then BlackLabel is a place for artists, musicians, composers, lyricists, music lovers, song writers, it has that very comfortable, at-home artistic feel.

she may not be that extraordinary singer with a strong belt high notes and all that, but that's not the only thing that matters to be a good singer. she sounds very pop-ish and her voice idk how to describe it but it sounds fun, also her voice is very distinctive and that's a good thing

Everyone inside JYP criticized her for getting herself scouted for Produce 101, she got #1. Everyone criticized her leaving JYP/itzy to go solo, she worked harder and harder and proved herself as a soloist. It’s amazing to see her finally getting the recognition she deserves. I'm HAPPY for Somi!! She has found the singing technique that suits her the most and her voice sounds seriously good!!!! Tbh, I've liked her eversince pd101, but gotta admit that I didnt like her voice before - it sounded a bit stiff if that makes sense..? I only watched her MV, stages and shows but couldn't put her song onto my Spotify. But now her voice is softer and just has more soul to it and Dumb Dumb is on my playlist.
