Thank you for sharing your amazing work and creativity! I thoroughly enjoy your videos and always look forward to seeing them/you. Have a wonderful weekend! Thanks so much for your lovely comment 😊 I will think on a name for the chameleon, but he does look so good on display! It is so true how much we rely on tech these days...not entirely sure it's a good thing but it does allow for the fabulous connection we can have such as with other cross stitchers all over the world and for that I am grateful 😄
Lovely stitching as always. Your FFOs look beautiful! Oh my gosh, Iceland! You are going to have a wonderful time. My husband and I went 2 years ago and it was amazing! Such a magical place. Definitely do the Golden Circle, so many beautiful stops. Also Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss, and Kvernufoss were some of my favorite waterfalls. They are all right near each other as well. Kvernufoss is a smaller waterfall, but has a lovely short hike to get to it. I hope you have a great time!
Can't wait for Iceland! Tim and I have been trying to plan our itinerary and wow, there are a lot of waterfalls! We may not be able to get to all of them given the weather/terrain in Oct...and there are too many to get to in 2 weeks anyway 😂 We should get to some of the ones you mentioned though, and are visiting the Golden Circle for sure 😄
Thanks for sharing - all your finishes and WIPs are gorgeous. My favourite is definitely seeing your progress on the floral wreath and chromatic dragon (I like my bright colours!) That Chameleon is stunning though - the frame and white mount really make the colours pop. And wow, Iceland! I went there earlier this year and it's an amazing country, so many wow moments with the scenery - you'll have an amazing time. One highlight of many for me was the Diamond beach - icebergs on the glacial lake flowing to the sea, becoming "diamonds" on the black sand.
Thank you 😊It's fab to hear you are enjoying the floral wreath and chromatic dragon...I am with you on liking bright colours! I am getting so excited for Iceland, especially when I hear other's experiences like yours 😄 I have made sure the Diamond beach is on our itinerary; it sounds incredible!
Definitely not waffly Kat, another really enjoyable watch. Oh, your finishes are really beautiful, and I think the oak-framed one would look lovely behind you ☺.................... Hi loved seeing your framed pieces today. I think the chameleon is stunning. I am one of the ladies stitching the otter with Sophie. I’m looking forward to our retreat on Sunday and starting this stitch. Have a great time in Iceland. My husband has been there and says it’s amazing. He went with his photography club.
Thank you Sue, and I'm delighted to hear that you are one of the ladies stitching the otter too! I hope you had a fabulous day at the retreat 😄 I am very much looking forward to Iceland...I'll have pics to share but probably not going to rival your husband's...I bet he got some fabulous ones!
I especially like the rustic wood frame chosen for the first piece you showed. Folk-art is kind of a weakness of mine and that was a perfect choice. And the wren! Such a colorful little wren! I've only met one or two, who nested at my sister's house, and they were very sweet but very brown. Anyway, I can see why that one was a must for you. Have a wonderful trip and I hope you have plenty of chances to watch the aurora.
Thank you and I'm so glad you enjoyed my framed pieces, espcecially the folk art one...yes, that is a better description than the 'sampler adjacent' that I came up with! I am so looking forward to starting the wren...but then I have a lot of patterns I'd like to get to 😂 This one is definitely a bit more colourful than the one in my garden!
Wowsa. Your Chameleon frame is perfection. He looks like a piece of art! (Well he is, but he really looks it too ha!). Sorceress is looking great! Love the little wren kit! The otter will be a fun start! Great video and didn't even notice any tangents without editing ha. I'd say go with it!
Thanks Andrew! I know what you mean about the chameleon; he really is stunning! I am in love with the otter already...it feels like too long since I had a new start!
Your FFOs look amazing in the frames you picked! ❤ Congratulations on planning a trip to Iceland; that's so exciting! I hope you both have a wonderful time! Happy stitching!! 😊
I had a lovely stay as usual! Thanks. Congrats on all your FFOs! They are amazing!🤩 The chameleon has been a favorite for a while and it’s such a treat to see it finished! Maybe one of these days… A girl can dream…😊 I’ve been thinking about starting the otter 🦦. I got the magazine a while back because of the little guy, but I have too many projects so he will have to wait. I’m looking forward to watching you though. Have a fun and wonderful trip! And be safe! ❤
Thanks Helena 😊 I was so pleased to finally have the chameleon ready to hang too; it's such a striking piece and I love it 🩷 I hope you will have time to stitch the otter one day but for now I look forward to sharing mine with you; I've made a small start!

Hi Kat. I was inspired to do the River drift house pattern by you. Finished and framed mine as well. So so so pleased with it. Its my favorite piece. Your other finishes are beautiful. 😊
Hi Jo! I love that I inspired you to find a piece you love, the Riverdrift House and that you have it up on display to enjoy 😄 It's such a treat to get finishes back and to hang them up!
Great update. The pigeon coop book looked inviting. Have fun planning for Iceland. Just one tip. I went in May thought it would be reasonable weather...so cold. It's in the name Iceland...take lots of layers xxx
Thanks Bernadette! Yes, the Pigeon Coop book is so lovely...but decisions decisions on what to stitch! Thanks for the advice about Iceland, and I think it will be pretty cold but fortunately we have been skiing lots of times so have all the cold weather gear 😄 Hopefully we will be ok, and I can't wait to go!!
Really look forward to your videos, Kat. You hadn't done the raven in The Sorceress, no, so along with the green of her dress, you have done heaps! I will have to look at getting that magazine. Not sure how long it would take to get here though but looks like a good one to get. The book looks good too...... 😬😬😬 🤩😁😁😁
Thanks Helena 😄 I realised afterwards that I hadn't done the raven previously! I did do a lot...and I can't wait to get back to her. I see I was being a very good enabler again in this video 😂
Love the FFOs! Your chameleon looks fantastic, that eye though! It’s like he’s staring into your soul 😂. I had to chuckle at a few bits that we have in common…the Pigeon Coop book (I got mine this week too, my first projects are also going to be the blizzard one and the autumn drizzle one, gorgeous), the Love Poppet purchases (I bought two needleminders, the robin and the squirrel, the fox almost made it to the basket, I also have the wren on my Etsy wishlist) and the Iceland trip - hubby and I are also booked to go, although not until July 2026, we’re going on a 2 week cruise which also factors in a couple of Ireland and Scotland ports. Hope you have a fabulous time! We’re also going to Alaska in May and we did Norway last year, love a cold weather holiday ❄️🏔️. Great video as usual, looking forward to the next one x
Ha ha...yes, that's exactly it with the chameleon! It's lovely to hear that we are both enjoying some of the same things! Another viewer suggested a SAL with the blizzard design from Pigeon Coop so I think I might do that in November...I'll keep you posted! Gosh, you have had some fabulous trips and lots to look forward to! We don't do holidays like this very often so I am very excited for it! I am not one for hot places...but also not a huge fan if very cold, but I think Iceland will be fine. We have gone on lots of skiing holidays so I can cope with cold and we have all the appropriate gear!
We just got back from a cruise and were in Iceland! Go to a hot springs...there are many. We went to Sky Lagoon and Forest Lagoon. Highly recommend both! You will feel so relaxed. We also did Fly Iceland (in Reykjavik)... much fun!
Oooh, that sounds lovely and is making me even more excited for my trip! I am hoping we can get to the Sky lagoon as my sister-in-law also recommended that. I'm realising quite how much there is we could do...and can't possibly fit all of it in though!
Such lovely finishes Kat! Love Love seeing all of your projects!!😍 And oh my I had to run and grab the Hannah Dale Otter pattern asap!! I am a huge otter fan and I have stitched several Bothy/Hannah designs, sooooo not a chance that I was going to miss stitching this adorable piece!! Going to grab the flosses and start this weekend!! Fantastic video, so much gorgeous stitching. Your samplers look great, but the chameleon is just amazing. It looks fantastic🤩. I've got the pigeon coop book, and I'm also thinking of stitching the blizzard project. Mini November SAL? For the mermaid, I really like the weeks dye works on the far left of the screen, but there are a lot of great options. Have a great time in Iceland. It's a bucket list destination for me 🌋🌌
Thanks Ceirdwyn ☺️ I'm loving having the chameleon on display 😄 I was extremely taken with your idea of a November SAL for the Blizzard project, or probably just leave it open to any Pigeon Coop pattern. I can see from other comments that there is a lot of interest in this so I'm going to talk about this in my next flosstube and we'll do it!!
The otter is adorable and so is the wren. I got a UK magazine ages ago from my pen pal in Scotland. I'm not sure of the name of it though. Due to quilting priorities, my stitching has been limited lately. But I had peace and quiet this morning and I did a short Stitch With me video.
Thanks Kelley! This is why I absolutely can't have any more hobbies than cross stitch...because I would have too hard a time choosing! 😂 Instead I just have to choose which gorgeous WIP to work on 😂 I can see from my choices, espcially recently that I definitely have a soft spot for animal patterns!
I have to many books, magazines, that I would love to stitch so many of them that time is not on my side, lol. I have 2 finished, and have about 6 ufos.I do enjoy your videos and thank you.
It's such a classic cross stitcher proble...too many potential projects and nowehere near enough time! So glad to hear you are enjoying my videos, thank you 😊
Another lovely video. The only editing you need to do is adding the last progress on your WIPs 🙂. Like the chameleon, he's beautiful ❤️. I don't think I'll ever be able to anything that intense!
Thank you Kathy 😊I am pleased to be able to edit again just to add the pictures and a couple of tiny tweaks but it's definitely saving me time not cutting out pauses! You are right about the chameleon; it was quite intense and quite confetti heavy. I struggled a little to keep the stitches as neat as I usually like, but it looks lovely finished so I am delighted with it 😄
I forgot to add: I always wondered where Lillie was in “Catkin and Lillie”. Thank you for explaining it. I thought it was a pet that perhaps was no longer with you. My birthday month is May also and I love Lillies of the Valley.
Ha ha...that would have been really fun to swap the lemons half way...but mine is going to be gifted to my neighbours and Mum's will be gifted to me so this time it makes more sense to stitch our own. I like the idea though if we ever stitch the same thing at the same time again! So glad you are enjoying seeing my work 😊
As soon as I saw your When Life Gives You Lemons, I bought it right away. It's so beautiful and G&Ts are my favorite drink. Do you like lemons or limes in your G&T? I like limes.
It's so lovely to know you are enjoying this beautiuful piece too 😄 I am often too lazy to put anything extra in my G&T but if I do I prefer limes too. I sometimes add raspberries in the Summer!
I have been watching many of your videos since now I'm starting a cross stitch project (a big one for me that only did it when a kid) and I wanted to know what do you do with all of those cross stitch projects? Do you hang them all or some you give, some you just store it? Your cross stitches are incredible!! Love from Brazil!
Hiya! Lovely to have you here watching my videos 😊 I mostly do put my finished stitching up on display, either professionally framed or finished by myself such as in an embroidery hoop or flat fold etc. I do have some that are stored in a box though! I have stitched a few things as gifts but I knew I was going to gift them before I stitched them.
What is the number of the Dimensions green that you are out of? I have several greens left over from stitching a jungle scene by Dimensions and would be happy to send you some floss if one of them is the correct number for you.
Love your FFOs. Look beautiful in those frames. Hope you'll share some pics from your Iceland trip, what an adventure !

Heather, that's just brilliant that you've been inspired to join a SAL and I've seen the Secret Grove part one...it looks gorgeous! I'm sure you'll enjoy it all the more for a little anticipation and yes, I always say cross stitch can't be rushed...just enjoy it 😄
Your fully finished projects are beautiful! You absolutely should finish the tent stitch cottage project. Be proud of your work!
Thank you 😊 I am so looking forward to hanging up those framed pieces!
Your chameleon looks fantastic ❤
Thank you; I am so pleased with it 😊
Fantastic video, so much gorgeous stitching.
Iceland is beautiful, def do the blue lagoon. It’s a little expensive but so worth it xx
Totally agree...Iceland is gorgeous! We are going the Sky Lagoon instead of the Blue Lagoon, and might fit in Myvatn nature baths as well 🤞😄xx
I'm glad that was cleared up for you...I know several people have been curious or asked before!
Lovely work as always, you and your mum should have picked a midpoint and switched pieces so you both have a piece stitches by both of you 😊
Ha ha...that would have been really fun to swap the lemons half way...but mine is going to be gifted to my neighbours and Mum's will be gifted to me so this time it makes more sense to stitch our own.
I sometimes add raspberries in the Summer!
please do more stitch with me on Joan Ellott how you move and still keep your place
I'm glad you enjoyed that video and I will do more although it might not always be a Joan Elliott!
That's so kind of you to offer 😄 It's 16021 and I estimate I'd probably need a full 1m length to finish the backstitch.
Are you positive it’s 16021 and not 16210? I ask because I flip numbers all the time and because I have 16210, which is indeed green.
Oh gosh...flipping numbers sounds like something I would do so I've double checked and it's definitely 16021. Thank you so much for checking for me 😄
