This has been brilliant, thanks. I’m going on holiday at the end of April. I haven’t been on holiday for years, I’ve been mainly bed/housebound….so this is a big deal for me. Anything that can help me navigate through this is a real bonus.
We going first time this may noted all these thank s so much we in our late 50s so looking forward to see Portugal . Are buses OK to travel out for day trip or boat., we like drinks out n live music but not clubbing ha ha .
Hi, on a previous visit we took a bus from the top of the old town (away from the beach) to Silves, it was about 30 min. It has a nice castle and some quaint shops. Despite having 3 children with us it was quite easy. A walk to the harbour, where I parasailed from, and you will find many boat trips and fishing trips. Many of the bars in the old town have live music or karaoke...I'll let you find your own style.
I love Albufeira and always on the lookout for different restaurants to eat. hopefully we will get to visit this year after 2 years of cancellations. We will be sure to checkout your recommendations and thank you for the tour around the old town.😀
hey man i saw your video this amazing i live in albufeira and in certain parts of the videos there were streets that i didn't even know existed Good video continue all the good ! :D Big hug !
Hi Phil. I was there a couple of weeks ago on a lads long weekend. We ate at the bars/restaurants in the tourist areas. But I’m going back there next week with my better half and we will be looking to eat in some out of the way restaurants. Thanks for your recommendations. We’ll try as many as we can manage on our stay. PS speaking as a North Eastern lad, The Geordie Viking isn’t ‘that’ bad 😂😂
Hi there, lads tour and better half tour normally involve different venues… the video was aimed at the latter. Let me know what you think of the places I’ve mentioned and enjoy your break!
Hi, all the places shown are in the 'Old Town'. This is not to be confused with the livelier new area...The Old Town shopping/restaurant area is in a 'valley' with the majority of Hotels looking down into the Old Town. The only Hotel that I would stay in, if I thought 100 steps up and down was too much of a challenge would be the Hotel Sol e Mar. It is a 4 star, placed on the beach and is at one end of the pedestrian area (its above the tunnel, if you watched the Vid.)
Looking at a few vids but can't find an easy answer, is this far from the marina? Walkable or an uber? Did Portimao - Albufeira - Vilamoura last month and doing the same again. The marina is OK, but a bit touristy so I'd like to try these.

Thank you for the tips perfect
I hope it helps
How do you not get lost going up, down and around these narrow walkways?
What is the average price for a restaurant meal around Portugal?
What accommodation would you recommend Albufeira Phil for me and my wife (pensioners) near where you did these reviews. Thank you

Hi, it’s about a 20 min walk to the marina… see my parasailing vlog…..
@@Filming-Phil Thanks Phil, I'll definitely give it a try.
That Mexican restaurant is the best
The place is not on GoogleMaps it must be a good mom-and-pop pace to dine.
Very much so - the owner treated us like his family
Where are the best burgers in town ?
Great little video Phil.
Minor gripe, the music.
Honestly, it contributes nothing to your content, which we were trying to give 100% attention to 👍🏼
Thanks for the feedback. When I get a 1000 subs I’ll be able to stop using the free music!
