I’m not too sure what the golden buzzer is, but she doesn’t need extras to confirm a thing! It’s blatantly apparent that her teaching skills and *intention not only serves her students, but it is profoundly serving her. Whatever extras that folk get giddy and jealous about receiving, isn’t necessary in this case. As it seems like Simon’s words were not only genuine, but he also showed concern. Things like genuine, consideration and concern, pretty much supersedes any act or preferential behavior or treatment that anyone’s exercises and receives.
Not just a beautiful voice, but you can see a beautiful soul. She exudes joy.

@@ropi8739 I think you may have misinterpreted what people mean by a pure singer or pure voice. In singing, a pure voice is one without needless quivers and peaks, valleys, tremolos and furbelows--without those vocal tricks singers do--often to hide the fact that their voices aren't strong enough to hold a pure (straight) note. Lachune is a pure singer in that she can hold a note in tune at length without vocal gymnastics.
Her voice sounds like a warm but magical hug that exudes love and joy. All this with a feeling of nostalgia!
She didn't just sing. she was talking to us and conveying the message of each word. Some singers are belting the highest of highs of each note but feels dry. Her voice just punches through your soul.

This woman seems like an actual angel
From the moment she started singing it was like...full-body goosebumps. Halfway through I had tears in my eyes. She has such a gorgeous, velvety voice, really fantastic vocal technique and control without unnecessary acrobatics. Seems like a very sweet and down-to-earth person too. I hope she goes far.

The real problem is people trying to emulate a talent they don't have. Everyone has some seed in them but when the avocado kernel wants to become a mango tree or worse, a lion, that's when it all becomes ridiculous. 😂

And who says that's right? When someone real and super talented and artistic and heartfelt sings, people love it! :) We need to normalize real.
Sometimes I wonder if some are being protected from the soul killing and soul warping industry.I can count on one hand the gifted singers of this caliber that the industry didn't destroy.

I was thinking the VERY same thing when I saw her performance on the show! She definitely understood the assignment. This song doesn't need a lot aggressive notes. She made this song so beautiful. You know this woman grew up around music and singing in Church - in Gospel Music they call this level of vocal skills “anointed”, and she certainly is. That was so deep and warm and controlled, and pitch perfect, and emotive. As others have said, it’s pathetic that we live in a world where “the star-maker machinery” chooses some 13 year old because they are “marketable” over someone like this woman, who is SO extremely talented. I hope this is the start of a fabulous career for her. I bet her Students just adore her - I’m sure she is an AMAZING Teacher.

You know when something really amazing happens in your life and you feel like there should be an angelic background song playing, she’s singing that song. Her voice reminds me of every Disney princess movie song, its soft & soothing, yet powerful enough that you have tears welling in your eyes…and you’re discreetly looking around to see if they see you crying like the lil’ sap you are…just pure magic!!!

Her control is astounding. I've never heard anything like this performance--vocal acrobats. I can usually sing along comfortably with other singers. Singing along with her is like climbing K2. I'm not sure I could ever have the control that she does no matter how hard I tried, or for how long.
She has such a clear tone, I love it. She sings from a good soul. It's rare nowadays. That's what makes her gold.

She has worked on her voice for years! In college, she would tell me and another friend how much she felt like she needed to practice specific skills to make her voice clearer. And she truly appreciated making sure her performances weren’t embellished by vocal runs and so on. She insisted on keeping her performance of “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone as close to the original as possible during a Jazz Band performance. Sadly, the band went with the big band feel, but she still killed it. During our freshmen years, she, another friend, and myself spent lots of nights in the music building’s classrooms just singing and chatting about life.

@@prodigy2591 i know. But i have never really cared about the format of these, and things like the voice and others. I especially dislike that they let people through they know sound or behave poorly and won't make it just for the views. (They have a very thorough process that should have weeded those out.) So i just rely on the youtube algorithm to watch the best of the best.
