I get up super early for work. Joey is the only thing that I listen to. I miss Lee on the new stuff, but I understand, that Joey is changing, and it’s good for him. I wish him the best. 🤘🏽
I made it a big goal of mine this year to get booked around my city as a solo music act. Ive been performing my whole life on stages for music, played all over Los Angeles and the USA, but for some reason, I felt unlucky around my home city and was never able to book shows for myself or bands Ive been in. Took me about 2 to 3 months of consistent open mic performances to get shows but it felt so good to accomplish my goal earlier than I expected. I also made sure to be 100% up front with bar owners and other performers that have a bigger draw around here. Reason being that I live in Columbus OH and a lot of people that perform music locally are just doing it for fun on the weekends, which is fantastic and they all kick ass on stage, but its important to tell people that you're a full time performer. That way when a venue needs a sub for a gig or someone needs an opener, they know you'll do it in a jiffy because its your career. My current goal now is to take what Ive learned in Columbus, to where I'll be living next year in Colorado.
disgustika I’d agree it’s like a eulogy. Don’t get too high guys. But get fucking high too. It’s your bag now deal with it. It’s that or old drug/con man stories... know ones self- Smart guy.
You know what’s boring as fuck? Self improvement Joey. We find you entertaining because you’re a colorful slice of crazy. Don’t become the boring dude who does all his homework and only eats salads.
It’s “fucking tremendous” that I really feel like I understand exactly what you’re saying. I think that maybe you talk about stage work in a way an actor would. I’m an actor. In that sense I understand completely the difference between working with your strengths vs really being honest about the fact that you’re out of your comfort zone.
I'm a big fan of Coco and he is right about this but Joey, you know damn well you haven't planned anything. You were at the right place at the right time.
Don't know how you do it, but y'all post these things literally the second I need to hear them.
