If you've completed the game before and got the standard ending called "Immortal Severance", and either didn't feel satisfied with that (or want to try some extra hidden content) you can follow these steps and get the ending called "Purification".

the hardest boss ever for me was inner genichiro in the gauntlet of strength that boss fight was insane it took me over 70 tries
owl father was a walk in the park in comparison
I was just disappointed I couldn't chop isshin the sword saint's head off after all the efforts
I mean c'mon even in ghost of Tsushima gave me that option
I was expecting some gore in sekiro for how challenging the game was

1:55 It doesn't matter if you go inside first and talk to Emma and the Sculptor. Progress is just stuck until you then eavesdrop from behind the building, at which point you can progress again.

I got the Dragon Return ending my first playthrough, but this seems *much* more obscure for me personally.
Don't realize you can hide from and spy on Kuro? No second-best ending for you! 😅
Is there something that hinted toward starting this quest that I missed?
I think the only hint to this quest is the fact that you can eavesdrop on Kuro, and then talk to Emma about it. Also the fact that the phrase "Do what must be done" is repeated multiple times, with little context on what it means at first
Will this work if I've already entered the temple and talked to Emma as she stood there?
Yes. You just need to go back outside, hug the wall and then eavesdrop. After this talk to her again.
should I kill the young owl in hirata to achieve this ending?
Yes you need to kill him to receive the item required for the Purification ending 👍
I have both bells do i need to do the first?
Yes, it automatically sends you to the first Hirata Estate, which you need to complete. Then when you go to the golden Buddha statue again at the Temple, you are then transferred to the 2nd one automatically
I didnt get the first bell before I got the second, how can I get the first bell now?
Okay so as a question while trying not to spoil: Are you at the end of the game? Because if you are, then there is only one slight chance to get it (which is easily missable). If you are not, then you can go to the Old Lady's house and get it from her
She is not at the old grave idol even tho i did the previous steps correctly
She will not be at the Idol, but at the Grave next to the Idol when you pass through the gate. Did you receive all the items (Tomoe's Note) and listen the dialogues until the end without cancelling them?

When talking to Owl? Help Kuro. Obeying the Iron Code leads to the Shura ending. If you mean the dialogue option when talking to Kuro after Genichiro, then there is only one option that works (which is stupid :D)

Where is the last boss
As Emma tells you, after killing the Divine Dragon and the final invasion of Ashina begins, go to the Ashina Reservoir and then head to the secret passage where you went at the start of the game, where Genichiro cut off your arm
Will this work if the sculptor has Dragon rot?
I believe this is the only time where you CAN progress a quest while an NPC has Dragonrot, since the Sculptor is an exception in many ways. I haven't tested it out specifically, but I'd say with high confidence that you can 👍
Bro how do I get back to ishin? I mean the final boss?
So in case you don't have any Idols unlocked, here's how: In Kuro's room, walk out the window near where Emma is sitting next to Isshin's body. Then jump down to the roofs next to the stairs and start heading downwards. Once you are close to the gate where the Ashina Castel Idol is, turn right to where an Ashina general is fighting a red Inetrior Ministry samurai, go past them inside the building next to them, and there drop down to the left. Now you are at the Ashina Reservoir Gate. The Seven Ashina Spears boss and the general are there, but you can walk past them to the branch on the left of the arena. From there grapple to the left ledge, and move towards the secret entrance where you were at the tutorial stage at the start of the game. From the secret passage you'll find the final boss.

@@zicrasher444 No worries your English is fine! You need to defeat the Divine Dragon at the end of the Fountainhead palace in order for the final phase of the game to start and Isshin to die.

Hey man how to i get the frozen tear?
Hiya! Once I get some time off from other video projects, I'll start making a more detailed video guide for that as well, but as short guide here what you need to do:
Defeat Genichiro, talk to Kuro, talk to Isshin about the Mortal Blade, head to Senpou Temple, after Armored Warrior dive into the pond to get the Holy Chapter: Infested (need to defeat Corrupted Monk at Mibu for the diving skill), defeat Folding Screen Monkeys, receive rice from Senpou Child. Use rice, reset the area and ask for more. Repeat this until she wants a persimmon. Once the Senpou Child talks about Kuro and gives you rice to Kuro, go to Kuro and have him make rice balls for you. Give her the Holy Chapter: Infested. At this point she needs two serpent hearts. One you can get to from the start of the Senpou area by using Puppeteer ninjutsu on the assassin by the kite, and then from the big tree at the next yard past the praying room you grapple with the Kite. There go through the caves, jump down and kill the snake. The other is from the Guardian Ape area, go down to the Poison Area below, head to the cave and go past the snake to the shrine to get the other. Give these two to the Senpou Child, rest, eavesdrop, rest, reset the area, and voíla! You get the Frozen Tears!

Can i fight the divine dragon with this ending?
Yes you can! You just need to do the quest and get the Father's Bell before fighting the Divine Dragon. After that fight him, and then beat the final boss, and at the option choose the option with the Everblossom. Hope this helps!

@@gafarahmed3678Simply progress the game normally by lighting the incense in Kuro's room and then going to the wedding chamber at the end of Mibu village. From there get to the Fountainhead Palace and proceed to it's end to fight the Divine Dragon. But to get the Purification ending, you must complete the second Hirata Estate and get the Aromatic Flower
