Thank you Sara for sharing! Im about to start Truqap and I was told to monitor my blood sugar levels. Did you have any trouble with that? Thanks and blessings to you

Yes, I monitor my blood sugar levels too. I had trouble in the beginning with remembering to do my level checks, but I've gotten better at remembering to do it. I don't have too much trouble with high glucose, but the levels haven't been super abnormal for me. It's always within a somewhat normal range except once when my mother in law got me McDonald's before my monthly labs, and my blood sugar spiked that day over 200! McDonald's is worse than Truqap.

Hello, my doctor prescribed me this medicine. However, this medicine is not licensed in my country yet. How did you get it? Is your health insurance paying for it? It's a very expensive medicine and unfortunately I don't have the purchasing power. Could you share the information to give an idea?

@@belgin2301 I replied to your other comment, but the main thing is that there ARE assistance programs to help pay for oncology treatment. Depending on the country in which you get treatment, there may be a program through your oncological pharmacy. AstraZeneca has a program to help people afford Truqap. I know because I am enrolled in the program myself.
My cancer center set it all up, so I'm not sure how to even start this process other than to call your cancer center and ask to speak with a nurse navigator or a social worker.
Best of luck with this!! I hope I've helped in some way.

Dealing with those nasty side effects currently. It’s not sustainable. I feel like I’m on the verge of serious dehydration.

I know what you mean, but I've got many of the worst side effects on lockdown now. I have some advice you didn't ask for, I'll share, but I in no way mean to tell you what to do. I can only tell you what works for me:
      1. I take Compazine and a low dose narcotic 1 hour BEFORE taking Truqap. This prevents the dehydration by letting the water I drink stay down without running right through me.
      2. I drink water, and eat lots of watermelon.
      3. Naps.
Best wishes!! I hope you get it to a comfortable arrangement.
