Enjoyed this video very much. What a lovely property you have there. This video, particularly, made me want to be there with you in that beautiful morning sunshine. 🌞☮️❤️
It's amazing how nature can take over, in such a short while, and sometimes it's also disheartening. Glad you avoided the worst of the Portugal heat - but the UK summer rain was not good either. Just to let you know the sound on this video is a bit patchy, compared to earlier videos.
I know, made it all the better to return. Thanks for the feedback on the sound - different editing setup over here. I’ll dig into it and see what’s going on.
So true. It means we have to plan carefully, prioritise and not worry if a few things get pushed back to ‘next trip’. This is a multi-year project, with most focus on just being here and the doing rather than the finished product (but a flushing loo in the same building would be nice!).
You can be in the Schengen zone for a maximum of 90 days in the previous 180 days, and it's a rolling total. We're not experts on the residential visa system, although we're investigating it ourselves, and there seems to be a lot of documentation involved. There's lots of information out there if you Google it, or find an immigration lawyer to help you.
Yes, Oleander. Check back to our early episodes, it was 6m tall when we first came and I had to cut it down to the stump. Didn’t do it much harm though.
Just over a month, we were so surprised and didn’t expect to have to clear out this much on this trip. Quick replanning session and we’ll be back on track I hope.

Glad you enjoyed it, Susan😎
Glad you are back
Thanks a lot, we really missed the place and are so pleased to be enjoying it again. 😎🇵🇹🛠️

hi guys good to see you back, you would not believe how fast things grow, good luck and see you in next vid.
Thanks, it was quite a shock - expecting brown scrub after all the high 30s days but found armpit-deep greenery. All good fun.
There are electric pruning shears that would make pruning of the olive tree suckers a much lighter and faster job.
They might be efficient, but those things look lethal. I'd probably take my fingers off!😂
cant wait till you pull roof of the house and rebuild it x
Me too, although we are probably a year away from that with local approval processes being what they are. Still plenty to keep us occupied though.
Glad to see you back😘😘😘😘🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Than you so much, we miss it a lot when we are away, so good to be here again 😎🇵🇹🛠️
Great work with the tidying. Love watching booth of you. Steady progress given you're not there 24/7
Thanks a lot, we were surprised how we found it - resets some priorities whilst we are here, but it’s lovely to be back. More fun to come 😎🇵🇹🛠️
❤❤

Yes but on tourist visas you have a limited time to get things done.. you’re against the clock.. ❤

I’m sure it would 😅.. good luck on your endeavours.. ❤

How long can you stay out on tourist visa and how easy Is it to get permanent visa if I buy a few acres of land out there..
many thanks! All the best!

I get a kick out of your intro.. big smile on the tree is cute!😊
Thanks. It always makes us smile too😎
What was the tree at the entrance, you gave the short back and sides.? Is it an oleander? It has pretty foliage too.
Yes, Oleander. Check back to our early episodes, it was 6m tall when we first came and I had to cut it down to the stump. Didn’t do it much harm though.
Oleanders are poisonous! Glad you were wearing gloves! Read about it on Google!
Oleanders...check Google. Very poisonous. Glad you had gloves on. 😢
How long were you in the UK? Can't believe the weed growth particularly that thistle.

Oh, what a lot of yard work! The roller cart for the refrigerator was a brilliant idea! Looks like the olive tree is recovering, too.
We're really pleased with how all of the olive trees we pruned are recovering. Looking forward to having some olives on them next year!
Let us know which town are you in?
Our nearest town would be Vila Nova de Poiares, in Coimbra district
