Hello from a fellow Tasmanian (now Melbournian) based traveller! I find Jetstar crew usually pretty good, looks like you encountered the odd bad egg on this trip. I am flying Jetstar on my 7th trip to Hawaii this month. Thankfully all my trips there on Jetstar have been pretty good. Domestically I have switched to Virgin. I really enjoy your channel, keep up the good work.

I flown Jetstar around 10 times all of the times just fine. Its actually pretty good.

My wife and myself had our connecting flight from Singapore to Melbourne cancelled at the last minute. After flying from Dublin to Dubai. No assistance no help. So 3500 dollars later to rebook a flight on scoot. When I tried to explain to somebody after listening to a robot for half an hour . The really helpful lady hung up on me halfway through trying to ask for a refund. Worst customer care ever . I’ll never fly with them ever. If you value your money they definitely are not worth it
I’m so sorry to hear about your experience. Jetstar has to do better, quickly. It’s unfair that you need to pay out of pocket for a delayed flight. Can I ask if you booked your flights on separate tickets? That may help me understand why Jetstar refused to compensate you.

Great review and keep up the amazing very objective and informative flight reviews! , I've got my first flight on Jetstar (in Australia) in about 3 years coming up from Perth to Adelaide booked for early January on the almost brand new A321 Neo, never been so excited to fly JQ!. I was suppose to fly them back from Sydney to Perth on the older A321 last September but they cancelled on me at the 11th hour the night before due to "engineering requirements" which was pretty frustrating but I actually really enjoyed my domestic flights in NZ with them last year.

I think it'll be hard to tell people to get off their phones in a normal volume on the tarmac. Yelling is an effective way to get your message across a noisy tarmac. Not all passengers are compliant. You don't need to be so sensitive about being "yelled" at
Hi there! Thanks for your comment. Of course there’s a number of ways in which passengers can be told not to use their phone on the tarmac. Having flown other airlines before I have observed the way staff communicate this rule. In fact, it is a rule that is enforced due to fumes that arise on the tarmac when planes refuel.
The staff member in question was being extremely aggressive about it. I wouldn’t have brought this up had it been a case of just raising her voice due to the tarmac being noisy. In addition to her ignoring me and generally being very unpleasant to deal with on that day.
If the rest of her colleagues were able to be pleasant, I’m sure she could’ve too.

jetstar cheap flights are great for short flights but I wouldnt want to take it on an overseas flight.
I fly JQ A LOT to shore up my QF SCs and points. They're the only airline I'd pay to fly within the QF family. I'll never ever fork out money to fly QF. Yucks.

Been flying Jetstar economy for years, no real hassles, usual delays of any airlines.
A lot of my Jetstar flights have been uneventful, in fact I’d argue that it’s my flights on the more expensive carriers that have run into delays and cancellations. That being said, wasn’t super thrilled about the ground handling agent at HBA on this particular morning.

Hi there! Thanks for your comment. As outlined, airline staff need not be grumpy and unpleasant. I have flown Jetstar before and have not experienced this. Furthermore, it is the contrast that this particular agent had with respect to her attitude, against her other colleagues who were simply fantastic, that led me to think that the airline seems to be delivering inconsistent customer service.

Personally, I think employees have become very precious since covid especially the trolley dolly's on board and check in staff. 😂
Jee Wizz the ‘trolley dolley’s’ are the ones that will save your life in case the planes go down. But completely agree that their customer service has taken a tank!
