I always get goosebumps when listening to orchestras. I used to think that orcestras are boring and old-poeple music but I now realised how awesome orchestras and classical music are.

I like how the music made giant robots fighting look so noble and majestic. Even the Desepticons. They are all soldiers, no matter how ugly, have a sense of honor and camaraderie.
I totally concur with you. Jablonsky's score for Transformers is very underrated. I think part of the reason that it did not get the acclaim it so richly deserved was because it is associated with the Transformers franchise, and professional critics look down on those films. This epic score could just as well have been the soundtrack to a Best Picture contender, and it would have been heralded as a masterpiece! Its guilt by association that caused it to be overlooked.

Jablonsky's Transformers work is every bit as good as anything ever scored for Star Wars, Batman, or Lord of the Rings. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who recognizes that!
I agree. In fact, I think it’s better. And that in no way minimizes or takes anything away from John Williams best pieces, but Jablonsky’s score for Transformers will forever be such a hidden gem
I mean, I think they’re very entertaining and listenable scores and they work well enough for the films they’re in, but it all comes from Hans Zimmer’s style and body of work. It is highly derivative. If you want I could point you to every score this score was “inspired” by. Essentially it’s a bunch of power anthems meant to make you feel cool. But personally I really don’t think they’re on the level of Lord of the Rings or Star Wars - that would take a while to explain exactly why through the lens of orchestral western music. They’re also functionally very different styles of scoring so it’s hard to realistically compare them effectively. Aside from them being played by an orchestra, the methodology and approach is completely different. That said, again I really love this music, and totally get why others do as well - but your statement comes across a tad hyperbolic

Obviously his mentor Zimmer has some influence on his work, but no one with functioning ears could ever confuse a Transformers score with any of Zimmer's work. "Arrival to Earth"? "No Prisoners, Only Trophies"? "Merlin Gets the Staff"? Not a Zimmer bone in any of those bodies.
these are originally two completely different tracks, the first one is "Arrival to Earth" and the second one is "Scorponok". The change is the orchestra's work ;)
Sometimes 👍, but not always in my experience. At 70ish I’ve been in many 👎 situations where this wasn’t the case - unfortunately 😔. However this was an exception of what happens when they DO!

I used to work graveyard shift at my job back when the first movie was released in theaters. I really wasn't too interested in seeing it, but my friend really wanted me to see it with her, so we both went together. As I expected, I fell asleep not long after the movie started. The ONLY reason I woke up was because the main theme at 2:24 started playing and it caught my attention. I sat up, rubbed my eyes, and had no idea what the hell was happening in the movie. But my attention was pretty much just focused on the awesome score anyway. My friend still teases me about this 😂
