I can empathize with you so much. I was the only girl with two older brothers. If we had pizza and I wanted a 2nd slice, I would be told “No. Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels” by an overweight non-present single mother. Nothing I ever did was good enough. Not even after I had twin sons (they run rampant in my entire extended family so it was bound to happen to one of us). Her first grandchildren and nothing I did was right. I wanted to get a secondary education after my boys were teenagers but was told that they need to come first. I should be there to cook dinners and do their laundry. Coming from a mother who has never done anything like that for her own children. It’s just unbelievable how mothers damage their daughters mental health and cannot see the error of their ways; even if it’s brought up to them. It’s “lies” or “manipulative behavior” for attention. Until my husband started to get into the mix and was not subtle about her behavior, she was beyond relentlessly abusive; mentally, physically and emotionally. My brothers could do no wrong. To this day! She actually lives with her favorite son who has no children. Her oldest son has 2 children as well, but we all know she would not share him with his wife who my mother actually hates.
I vowed to not be, and wasn’t, that type of hurtful mother.
If only they cared enough to really understand the immense trauma they caused. 💔🙈

They never fit, the size is always bigger then I want no matter how hard I try to tell myself 'a number doesn't mean anything'.. While I had to wear clothes that looked like they belonged to a secretary or sweats and sweatshirts. As I got older though more plus size clothes became available and it was such a boost. I was never overweight, but many styles don't fit my body, as I'm very short, very short waisted, and there's a 2+ size difference between my hips/thighs and waist. I know the struggle of not being able to find well fitting clothes off the rack. Most fashion trends aren't for everyone. Find what makes you look good, and more importantly, what makes you feel good about yourself. Clothes should not be allowed to make us feel bad. We've given them too much power when they do. ❤❤❤

Same. I'm 5'10" and puberty gave me a lot of curves in all directions. I grew up being the skinny feral kid, and then middle school hit and suddenly I wasn't human anymore. I hated trying on clothes, I never could wear what the other girls did. The lack of options and constantly being mistook for a mom in her 30s (while I was in hs) drove me into an ED. And I HATE that it worked to a certain affect, I finally recovered last year and about cried when I tried on clothes I had been too afraid to wear at 230lbs and found they looked fine on me. Just because you didn’t like something doesn’t mean it isn’t enjoyable to other people. Everyone has different tastes and everyone has the right to enjoy different things. And to be honest you claim to love Adam but yet hated a big amount of his movies. I loved Uncut Gems. It was INCREDIBLE. The first Grownups was a fun movie that was extremely nostalgic since it referencing a lot of things from my childhood. And it was 50 First Dates. Not 51 First Dates. And that was a beautiful story. I would love to have someone care enough about me to put in the work to put in the effort everyday to make me fall in love. And I will give you Jack and Jill oh my god it was horrible. Grownups 2 wasn’t nearly as fun. Bedtime Stories was a good movie for what it was. A fun way to kill a afternoon. And I thought The Cobbler was actually a amazing movie. And let’s just forget about The Zohan Weather your a real fan or someone who poses as a real fan. Don’t discredit his work. Adam has been making movies my whole adult life. And yes not every movie was a masterpiece. But really I’m not a fan expecting to see a award winning movie every picture he puts out. But expecting to be entertained and shown something that will make me happy, or feel warm and fuzzy.
