If God has promised you something... and it hasn't happened yet...
The answer ISN'T to take things into your own hands
The answer IS to patiently trust and cling to the promise of God
He will accomplish it according to His timing and plan!
I’m in a season of uncertainty and change. It is so difficult in these times to just trust God, and easy to believe the lie that my security lies in worldly things/things I don’t currently have. God is teaching me to trust Him with my security - both now and for all eternity - and to be patient with what He has planned for my life. I wrestle with these lessons every day.

Love this. Short and simple, but definitely something for us to reflect on as we begin a new year. How often we get ahead of our faith, and get mad when things don’t work.
This is so true. We’re like impatient children who think they know everything, and our Heavenly Father is saying, “You’re ignorant fools. Be patient. Trust me.”

I wouldn't call this a theory. Some people believe in"progressive sanctification" which is basically now that we're saved we should go out and do A, B, And C, but I've come.to learn that we are spoiled children.Our job is to sit back and let GOD work in/through us. The gospel message isnt about what we can do for God- it's about what he did for us. Equality so, so the Christian life isn't about what we can do for God... It's about what he does for us. He doesn't pull a bait and switch when your saved and go "well it's not by works... HAHA! GOT CHA! Now that you're saved it's time to get to work. No, we ceased from our works. We strive to enter into Christ REST. It's ironically pretty difficult for many to sit still and rest in God's prevision but that's the battle; sitting back, and being God's loved, highly favored, children.
