For all you saying their mixing sucks, they were producers before they were djs and im pretty sure around this time period is when they were just starting out mixing so give them a break :) PLUS if you watch their more recent dj sets or seen their dj sets live they are amazing. They are one of my favorites to watch.

Someone point me to a video where the mix ISN'T weak. All these comments on alot of these dj sets are so critical but the people never point to a video of how "It should be done". I'd like to see it. Just so I know
I get why everyone is saying it's really bad mixing but to be honest, this is my favourite boiler room. It would have been a really great sounding mix if you were there, so no one cares. There's good tracks, average mixing but the atmosphere and beat of all of the music there makes up for it:)
PrinceOfArmadale Because the art of mixing is part of the club culture and it's a dying art. Tracks are so easy to produce in your basement these days (which is great, imo). But producers who are not DJs go on tour to make money (because touring is really the only way to make money as a musician right now); resulting in poorly mixed, shitty sets. And to be honest, some DJ nights have resulted in disappointment when I go see my favourite producers and they can't mix - even if the selection is good.
Thank you so much. I've been checking this page for almost a month, waiting for someone to answer the question (that 3 people asked) about what song was playing at 27:00. Nice one.

To all the people thinking the mixing is off beat sounds shitty ect ect.. keep in mind that there is a substantial amount of this set missing from the actual footage, usually like any showcased dj set and any other boiler room set theyre about 1 hour this is obviously 35 mins only half of the full things. as far as i can tell there ws camera difficultys during this night that nobody care enough about to fix. from the guy actually analyzing the video.
thát's the spirit !! you need to get yourself a turntable setup yeyaahh ,.,. that's how I started back in '99 .. quit the music scene to focus 100% on my company but I've just ordered some pioneer stuff to get back in tha game :D

I'll never understand people that go to hear dance music, or any music for that matter, and just stand there! Apparently they are having so much fun that it is beyond our ability to comprehend...
To be honest, the mixing is just fine. Take in mind the mix on vinyls and not on cdj's. They are not a computer, i just like to hear that is mixed by humans and not by computers. They are not offbeat. I really don't see what you find bad about their style of mixing ? :/
check out the boiler room set they do with skream. they do a pretty god job there. plus, Mixing is mostly a learned skill now - producing is the highest yield method to set yourself apart these days. -some great song choices on there part though
