It really focused on quality media. Would be nice for a modern version. Maybe the Sony Xperia Pro-i is the closest thing, but that trades off motion capture focus excellence but you then need the lower quality telephoto lens to zoom in
I was able recently to buy one to see what it is about. I feld in love with it. I am going the oposite way of modern phones, leaning back to blackberry classic, Nokia E72 and recently updated my collection with Nokia 808 and 1020. I enjoy more 808s photos but 1020 has raw photos, that are double of 808s size, meaning better for editing. Literally, I prefer this 2 phones over all modern cameras in phones, that uses destructive Ai. Just to compare, for example photo of Samsung Galaxy Ultra 20 is about 10 - 16mb, 808 is 20+mb and 1020 40mb+. Also Ai destroys absulutly detail of photos. This is personal opinion, but I think if you zoom in gallery photo taken with modern phone, it is just discusting result. To compare with 808 and 1020, has just beautiful weight in the photos and zoom. Literally it is like taking photos with dlsr cameras. Main downside of 1020 is that the colours are kinda off, but that can be easy edited.
Loved reading your insight. I wish the older devices could be updated to just run some basic modern apps or even a usable web browser. I'd be rocking one as a daily then
I'm also always amazed when transferring pictures taken with the 808 and 1020 to a PC and viewing them on a big screen. So much details, such pleasant and clean processing too.
i borrowed that kind of phone way back 2013 with my friend.. i try to shoot the rotating ceiling fan .. even the ceiling fan rotate so fast.. still that phone take a good shots on every profeller like looks the fans stops..i was amazed back then on how good that phone on its cams

I still have it. Works perfectly fine along with N8, E7 slider keyboard. I switched to Android only after WhatsApp stopped supporting Symbian. That os is out of the world . Smooth kinetic scrolling.. that too with a weak cpu. Vivo boast of dedicated image processing chip. Nokia got thay ages before. The best stereo HAAC mic ever on all pureview series. Powerful xenon flash Ability to switch infinity, hyperfocal lens setting Inbuilt ND filter Exposure bracketing shot 3 custom preset modes for video Ultra smooth zoom cropping With usb on the go adapter, I have connected seagate pocket harddrive 1TB and the phone reads without issues Cons Highlight clipping . I always under expose to preserve highlight Some kind of image stabilization is much needed Hunts for focus sometimes. I enjoyed more on my 808 than Android counterparts.
Nokia should relaunch this masterpiece. That time people were not ready for this, but now we know almost everything. Nokia need to relaunch this with some other features.
Yes, absolutely mostly using manual - c1, c2, c3, creative mode. Yesterday i was shot same scene with p20pro and Nokia 808 pureview, and pictures from 808 was way better, clearer, noise free images almost looks like from entry level DSRL 🙂👍
Even night shots from 808 are very good, when shooting on tripod, when zoom the night shots from 808 and Huawei p20pro, shots from 808 are almost noise free, and p20pro are noisy, artificial looks compared to 808🙂🤔

i have that phone, that made many great pictures for years. When i moved in 2017 after 5 years of from nokia pureview 808 and 3 batteries to the flag Sony Xperia xz1 compact, i was already disappointed. Not only the picture quality and the shutter speed with xenon ( could capture flying bats in plain night ) real zoom without loss at 5m and the sound of recording was awesome. People for years was thought the design was cool when everything came as rectangular after. The sony and now iphone aren't that good. iPhone SE 2020 is save by computing processing to make good pictures. I just commanded the 4 battery of the phone was sleeping too much. I will use it as a camera for pictures again only.
this phone set the standard in mobile audio recording, it does not distort with heavy bass. Most expensive modern phones ( iphone 13 pro) definitely compete with audio capturing ability but my currently broke ass still uses this to capture live footage.

@@AbdullaZaki my wife had a Lumia while i had the N9, and WP fell short in so many ways in addition to the lack of apps.
The audio recording on this device is pretty amazing. Take it to a concert and you wont be disappointed
It was the first phone that focused on audio quality as much as video quality, and it still holds up so well even today :D
I remember having a Nokia back in 2012, I have no idea what model that was. And one thing I won't forget is that it's camera was very good during that time.
Best phone ever!! 😍 My fav. If Nokia is listening hope they get it back...
Thank you for bringing back Nokia
After 9 years 48 megapixel camera is just a regular standard camera nowadays in smartphones
How much I love this phone 😍...I had the black one I wish I could have it again
Damn, I miss Rich Recording. No phone has THAT recording quality nowadays. I still bring my Lumia 950 for concerts and clubs, No distortion at all. I couldn't afford this phone back in the days, but my father still uses my legacy Nokia N8. Miss those camera innovations :(
Aaah I now know 1020 lumia is next... its the successor of the pureview
Still really really want to have this phone, it's more interesting than any other budget or high end phones
I love your nostalgia content
Thanks :D
I have a black one and i still open it from time to time and make it daily the wifi transmitter is somthing i wish more company will implement in their phone, + the camera is a beast
fm transmitter was such a cool feature :)
@@AbdullaZaki and still is , you can basically run it in any car old and new ones
THIS TREASURES YOU HAVE 😍
It really focused on quality media. Would be nice for a modern version. Maybe the Sony Xperia Pro-i is the closest thing, but that trades off motion capture focus excellence but you then need the lower quality telephoto lens to zoom in
*Nokia N8 & 808 Pureview both are legendary phone. I've Nokia N8. 😍*
The best camera system on a phone to date, period.
A proud Nokia 808 PureView owner here 💪😎
I still have it. In running condition. It still takes more authentic pictures than my Mi 11 Ultra in optimal lighting condition.
Bro when i was a kid i used to dream about owning one
Ive always wanted to own this phone, now that i have some money ill definitely buy it
I hope they put that sensor on a modern phone these days
This is the best plastic phone I've ever held. Quality wise.
i borrowed that kind of phone way back 2013 with my friend.. i try to shoot the rotating ceiling fan .. even the ceiling fan rotate so fast.. still that phone take a good shots on every profeller like looks the fans stops..i was amazed back then on how good that phone on its cams
Nokia " its all about uniqueness, durability and capability"
Well done, thank you for this review
My pleasure!
نفسي فية لليوم و كل أجهزة نوكيا عائلة N
روعه ما شاء الله
فعلاً, كانت أيام حلوة :)
This phone is king of that days
Well well well nostalgia is back 808 pureview had some really different colours and options as limited editions.I don't remember the name but one of them is McLaren edition maybe not sure
I need this phone
A really tough oldie ... a beast still today . Please nokia release a pure view in 2021 it will destroy every phone today and even after 10 years also
thank you brother
My dream phone...
That UI is so nostalgic
I still have it. Works perfectly fine along with N8, E7 slider keyboard. I switched to Android only after WhatsApp stopped supporting Symbian. That os is out of the world . Smooth kinetic scrolling.. that too with a weak cpu.
Vivo boast of dedicated image processing chip. Nokia got thay ages before.
The best stereo HAAC mic ever on all pureview series.
Powerful xenon flash
Ability to switch infinity, hyperfocal lens setting
Inbuilt ND filter
Exposure bracketing shot
3 custom preset modes for video
Ultra smooth zoom cropping
With usb on the go adapter, I have connected seagate pocket harddrive 1TB and the phone reads without issues
Cons
Highlight clipping . I always under expose to preserve highlight
Some kind of image stabilization is much needed
Hunts for focus sometimes.
I enjoyed more on my 808 than Android counterparts.
i have this bad boy 808 I love it no phone camera can beat even now days i tested all big phones but my old bad boy beats all.
brings back memories ... just sold mine 3 weeks ago... full box mint condition.. i regret it now
:(
Nokia should relaunch this masterpiece.
That time people were not ready for this, but now we know almost everything.
Nokia need to relaunch this with some other features.
Still by far one of the best looking phones
I still use 808 in 2021, camera is much better than my Huawei p20pro
Thats amazing to hear. Im assuming you've mastered the art of using manual controls? :)
Yes, absolutely mostly using manual - c1, c2, c3, creative mode. Yesterday i was shot same scene with p20pro and Nokia 808 pureview, and pictures from 808 was way better, clearer, noise free images almost looks like from entry level DSRL 🙂👍
Even night shots from 808 are very good, when shooting on tripod, when zoom the night shots from 808 and Huawei p20pro, shots from 808 are almost noise free, and p20pro are noisy, artificial looks compared to 808🙂🤔
my camera..used it from the day it was available until 2 years back !!!
They need to return back. Look what they did for the time.
We need that camera button in today’s gen smartphones
Nokia Was the Real deal back then, everyone else was too lazy to do such Epic innovations. 🙂🙂
Thank you.
You responded to my request for Nokia 808 review.
This is my dream Phone..
I request you again for the review of Nokia E6 ,the ultimate QWERTY keypad and TOUCH Phone...😎😎
Love NOKIA
i have that phone, that made many great pictures for years.
I still have this phone❤
still my favourite phone ever
hi Abdulla, I'm a huge old nokia phones fan and your work of course...where can I get this phone from, I would like to buy it for sure
This video is nostalgic
this phone set the standard in mobile audio recording, it does not distort with heavy bass. Most expensive modern phones ( iphone 13 pro) definitely compete with audio capturing ability but my currently broke ass still uses this to capture live footage.
Do a comparison video between 808 vs 930 picture quality we want to see who's the winer
1st mobile according to me which had Dolby playback with recording and mini HDMI
