I accidentally discovered this a week ago at the range and I kid you not, the ball flew 30 yards further and with a beautiful ball flight. This video reinforced what I was feeling that day and it really is key to a better swing.
He explains it so much better. I tell my friends they have to allow the "flick of the wrists", he explained it much better. I get 30-50 yards more on each club than my golf buddies just because of this. It's hard to explain to others.
Danny, I have been practicing this technique now for the last month based on your previous videos. I practice it daily on the back deck and also on the golf course. This video is a great re-cap! I have seen a real improvement in my distance and accuracy and much less stress on my 72 year old frame! It really works but takes practice to be able to loosen up and just swing through and stop trying to steer the club head to the ball. Thanks!
Danny, thank you for introducing me to the catapult swing. In your earlier catapult videos you described a “spiral” backswing, a “throwing” of the club downswing, a movement of the lead shoulder backwards thru impact and having the body turn in response to the catapult. This was a game changer for me… making the easy swing and hitting further and straighter. This video explanation seems to contradict the earlier and even encourage a lunging swing??
Danny, you have transformed my swing. I have played a lot of sports at the competitive level, but the golf swing has always eluded me, possibly because I started golf very late. Your videos on weight transfer, rotation, and catupulting have transformed the structure of my swing in the past six months. It only took 25 years to find these solutions. Thank you for ending soul crushing golf.
Hi Danny, I’ve watched hundreds (maybe thousands) of UA-cam golf videos! This has been a game changer for me! Thanks for such a clear lesson on club head speed and control! John Quinn The Villages, Florida
Good afternoon from America Danny. I never post comments but I just wanted to say that your instructions are by far the most impressive that are available on UA-cam. I love how you take the mechanical nonsense out of the golf sing and make it easy for the beginner. You success is well deserved and keep up the great work.
Probably the best bit of advice I have seen on UA-cam ever. I have removed all the other videos I had saved in my library as there was something in there for every move or body position in the golf swing, too many thoughts going on! I’m so tense and stiff during the swing and struggle with over rotating in the back swing causing a flip at impact. This will hopefully help solve my issues and generate more consistency. Fantastic video Danny 👍🏻
I watched this video after you posted it and had a few practice swings in the garden. Due to lock down I couldn't go to the range. Seemed like I was striking the ball well. Out of all the videos I've been watching this one stuck with me. Played yesterday. First thing I noticed was that I wasn't thinking about my swing mechanics. Just thinking about releasing the club. I can't thank you enough Danny. I hit the ball better than I ever have. I was so much more consistent and my driving was brilliant(for me). The other thing I noticed was I was finishing my swing in a great position. I can't recommend this video enough.
I watched your first catapult video a couple of years ago but the other mental tumblers weren't in place yet for it to fall into place. I now have a much better understanding of the general concept of the golf swing and rediscovering this lesson has been a real mental game changer for me. So far, only on the range but I find taking a couple of catapult swings prior to the shot helps me to release my tension and groove my tempo. Thank you!
Absolutely works, more distance with less effort. I can see now how the guy’s on tour generate power now. It’s about overcoming your fear of hitting wild shots. Your ability to explain this game is up there with some of the greats. How is your knowledge with repetitive back injuries and how to avoid them ?
I think if you can learn to swing the club your own way through feel your body will naturally protect itself. It gets injured when we start to swing in ways that just don’t suit us.
Danny you've done it yet again. Amazing. Only yesterday, I was practicing in the garden with My best mate and golf partner and using My Lockdown setup (net, strike mat and a launch monitor). Then. Hit one and I added 35 yards over My typical Driver distance, Smash Factor 1.44. My quest is to reproduce that every time. Here are You coaching exactly what I started looking for yesterday. Thanks. Thanks SO much.
I think your videos are great & have helped me understand how I swing a club better then any others. I am right handed but play golf left handed & your references to that are so helpful! Thanks
Danny, you are, by some chalk, the best golf instructor on the internet! I have been practising your take-away and weight shift exercises and improved my consistency of strike considerably. Today, after half an hour practising this catapult method on the range, I played 9-holes and hit the ball 10 yards farther per club despite all the mud and sand. Thanks!
Genius in simplicity. Wish I had taken this mentality when I first started playing. So right about blocking all the swing thoughts, and rather being brave and accepting mistakes that may happen, but more often than not puring shots. Basics of sports psychology.
Thanks for the video. I am a weak petite senior female who has just started to learn golf. After numerous expensive lessons, I couldn’t even hit the ball in 3 months. Even if I accidentally hit it, the most that I could get is a dismal 30 yards from the #7 iron. After learning about your method and practice at home for one night, I went back to the range and was amazed that I got past 50 yards which is a significant milestone for me. I’ll keep practicing and hope that I’ll get better one day. Thank you!
Danny you are the Best, I watched two of your videos last night. I went out and played a round today and shaved a quick 10 strokes. You definitely knows the swing. Thank you, Carey
I play in a very competitive 4ball[we are all in our mid70s, handicap between 10 and 14] It being competitive I start to get stiff and steering the ball.So I watch your video when you had the lesson with Jim.Last week video put the cream on the cake. Can't wait to get going again,as it's always worked before. thanks Danny
Wow! All I can say is thank you for all videos. Using your videos and a live view device I took my handicap from 16 to 9. The hand on leg sliding drill and increased hip/leg action bumped up my power and consistency.
Really brilliant video, Danny. "Lets show this in action", says Danny, and plunks the ball eight inches from the pin and says, "That's a pretty good shot". Pretty good shot??? It did everything but go in!!! But it definitely illustrated the care free, catapult move, with an exclamation point! When I try this, this week, I will probably be replacing a few of the neighbors windows, along the course. :)
Excellent video. For the past two months I've used the catapult method based on the earlier videos. When executed correctly it added 20-30 yards to each of my clubs and straight. As you said, it is game changing. I am working on developing more consistency and this video was helpful.
Really enjoyed watching this it makes sense. I’m so tense and nervous over the ball because I’m so focused on hitting the ball. I think I’m an early hitter so this should help once I get used to it. Thanks a lot Danny
Well, this is one lesson which frees up the swing. It is a lesson which I pretty much do already and appreciate your sharing professional instructions.
Can’t wait to give this a go. Been practicing in the office but it’s quite small and I keep hitting the walls with the kids heads. Another great video, Danny!
Thanks Danny I’ve been doing last week’s lose control and loosen up drill every day in my net for an hour ! Comparing before and after videos is absolutely amazing. Gradually it’s feeling less and less out of control and more like my new normal. Today’s tip has added a bit more finessing. I’m getting addicted to the sensation of pure powerful effortless strikes as their frequency starts to increase. Lockdown has allowed me to commit to sustained structured practise thank you so much Danny this is pure gold.
I am trying to learn more about course management and choosing better options regarding problem shots and also choosing the right clubs for the shot in hand. i.e.when it's a better option to use hybrids or alternatively 3 woods or irons depending on conditions of the fairway and so essentially to save shots. Cheers Danny keep up the good work. Over the last year and through watching your tutorials I have consistently broke 100 and now in the low 90's. My target is middle 80's before I get too old.I am 71 years and quite active and still determined to improve my game. All the best.
After 35 plus years of frustration from paralysis by analysis you finally showed me exactly what it is I'm supposed to be doing when I swing a golf club :)
Another really helpful video thanks Danny. The great thing with your coaching is that it just all makes sense. It really helps with understanding the mechanics of the swing and how things should work. Can't wait to be able to get back out there to try and put some of these theories into practice. Thanks again Danny and keep up the great work.
Great stuff, Danny. I think the key is, as you said, is to be brave. Trusting one's swing is huge in letting go and hitting shots with power. I'll keep working on it. Thanks!!!
So glad I watched this video Danny, I’ve seen numerous other You Tube videos describing this “catapult method” but I just didn’t really ‘get it’. They left me wondering how is this relevant because a catapult uses stored elastic energy, and there is definitely no significant elastic energy happening in the golf swing. Your excellent video demonstrates the technique clearly and helped me appreciate that the term ‘catapult method’ is actually a misnomer because the technique uses centrifugal force and not elastic energy to produce power.A more accurate description for the technique would be the ‘Sling Method’. The term ‘catapult’ and its association with elastic energy’ had been a barrier to me understanding this technique until I watched your video. Keep up the great work Danny, you have a rare ability and gift for teaching golf. Your videos are much appreciated.
Danny, nothing like getting up in Saturday and having a great new lesson plan. I will work on this although my youngest child is 30+ and I can't catapult her. This video is a great compliment to your previous catapult vids. Thank you.
Great again Danny..It's almost like the way kids at acting school are encouraged to just let go of their inhibitions, you have just given us permission to let go and boy did we need it.Thanks again for the free therapy.
@@DanielMaude I got to take it to the course today. Hit my irons better than I ever have - consistently from holes 1 through 18. Used the tennis racket lesson on the back nine for my driver and it worked great. Thank you. Golf is much more fun in the fairway and hitting greens.lol
Danny, thank you for this video. I've been using it primarily with my drives and I instantly saw almost 40yds added to my drive. I was averaging 230yds and instantly my average has increased to 265-270 and I've broken 300 several times now with my longest drive being 308yds. The "feel" of the club head speed is massive and as long as I strike the ball true - it's going to go. I'm currently working to do the same with my irons.
Hi Danny Great Drill when I tried this I was coming over the top I had to think that my right shoulder was coming down and under. Keep it going I love your instructions Damien
@@DanielMaude Yes we have continued playing with only a few days break thank goodness Danny. Flags stay in, no nearest the pins and one club length in bunkers as no rakes allowed.
Absolutely the best type of swing for me. I' was 200 m away from the green on a par 5 which I never had before it was longest drive for women in a competition unfortunately I was beaten by just 20m ..even at my own club I'm outdriving some of the ladies who would normally have a longer drive than me.
This is just genius. I've had lessons over the past few years but nobody even mentioned something like this. It's been, rotation rotation, use the ground, you need to generate more speed, but how? This lesson just makes so much sense. I tried rotating to generate speed but I wasn't letting the club go like this and hit pulls and pull hooks more often than not. Just standing up and swinging a club this way you can feel the difference right away. You can actually hear the sound the club makes and it just feels so much faster and takes less effort. Can't wait for spring here in Canada so I can actually hit balls using this training concept.
I am glad you expanded on this concept since your previous videos. It will take time to incorporate but I already feel more power and less tension in the downswing. Lot easier on the back too! Thank you, Danny.
Got here before your thumbs down guy ! This lesson was the first of yours I saw and since then your teaching has given me method and structure. Result is vastly improved levels of enjoyment and some Ws. Another great session. Thanks.
really like the practice guides, I have a note book full of them and it goes with me to range and course, at the course i use them for a quick refences. thanks.
Another good one Danny. It reaffirms your earlier videos as always become nervous/protective on the course and don't turn. As we should be coming to the pantomine season I need to remember "Its behind you" !! Take care
Danny, thanks much for this video. I've been fascinated with your suggestion of an effortless swing for a couple of years. But didn't appreciate how to create the mechanics in my swing in a way that I could feel what you're describing. My fault. But I stumbled on an idea recently about practicing this move using my left arm only, I'm right handed. Instead of building my downswing with both arms, I do practice swings with my left arm then add my right arm. Previously I've let my right arm power the swing by engaging my right pec muscles. This caused an out to in swing which was a real challenge. But starting with my left arm and swinging in a catapult motion that you describe has really changed my swing outcomes. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for your help.
this is an absolutely genius way of explaining the swing. I get stuck in periods when I come over the top and hit pulls. When I hit it well I hit my irons one club longer and my driver 10 to 15 yards longer and am not sure why. When I start to lose it I start thinking too much too many swing thoughts and my game goes out the window. Being able to use this swing thought just simplifies the things so well. Part of my practice routine now and just love it, feels soooo good! Thanks Danny.
Another great video Danny. I am completely guilty of early release in an attempt to 'retain control', probably a slight OCD issue tbh. This vid (and the one you did last week) really confirms you need to trust the swing and let it go! As always, keep up the good work!
Great tutorial Danny, so simple and easy to understand. Been practicing in the garden with air balls and even they go further. Off to the course on Thursday to try it for real.
@@DanielMaude Been meaning to reply again. I would estimate I'm carrying another 20 yards now I have the hang of the technique. I really can't wait for my course to dry out to see what happens with more more conditions. I agree that it's a game changer. Thanks again and Happy 2021.
Dear Danny, thank you so much for this video. I saw it in the morning and played my best round ever. I am always looking for a swingfeeling to copy. The picture of a child spinning around is (for me) absolutly suitable. Best wishes form Germany
I started off doing the driver swing you did with the two young guys and I've never hit it so far. At first I had the biggest slice I've ever had, but now it has straightened up as they said it would and I can't believe it. My wife (15 handicap) has now started to do it as well and she is hitting it longer. If this covid crap ever ends and we can get back to the UK I will come and see you for a lesson. Thanks for all the free advice I really appreciate it.
Like the vid. Monte Scheinblum has a vid “no turn, cast drill” from 2013. In it he tells you to deliberately try and cast the club. Found it is actually impossible to deliberately cast, the body wont let you. Bit like trying to hits shank deliberately- it’s not easy. Certainly feels more like the catapult you describe. Only works if you get the club head behind the pivot though. Makes me think much more about club head in space going back rather than wrists hinges, elbows, knees and shoulders etc etc much easier to take on the course
I would love to see you do a round, or even just a few holes, either with a student or even just on your own. I could watch you swing all day, they were both great, but that first one was an absolute beaut! :-)
Brilliant as usual Danny and can't wait to get back on the course to try this. You sorted out my driver (for the most part) with your tip to turn the head 30 degrees at address. You more for less sorted out my topping the fairway woods. Now for my irons, which used to be brilliant, but I seem to have lost the follow through to a full finish. I used to hit the middle of my back quite hard but now find it never happens - maybe age but I can still do a full turn on the back swing. You make it look all so easy to hit an 8 iron 160 (which is the distance the pro's at the Master's were using) with so little effort. We mere mortals can only dream but we do try.....
Another solid tip! Another drill I use is thinking about throwing the club in the direction of my target so I'm focused on that task rather than hitting the ball or focusing on the ground.
Great video as always Danny 👍👍. I will definitely give this a try cos i am now just over Covid-19. You all please be very careful out there and protect yourself all times. Always enjoy your lessons. Thank you so much Danny for trying to help us play better golf!🙏👌
Hi Danny I have been practising the catapult method with my driver ( as your previous lesson ) and it really works well.Gained 30yards!! Would love you to do a video /9 holes about breaking 90 with tips and advice. Thanks Danny your help has helped me enormously.
Your videos are always good....but this one is pure Gold.I am sure this will unlock my cluttered swing thoughts over the ball and get me to make a more powerful swing instead a series of movements.Danny you are the best.👍🏌️♂️
Practiced this at the range today. I was one of those drop the club down guys. I immediately saw gains in all my clubs, hard to tell exactly how much further the ball went, but a guess with my scoring irons would be about 5 yards or so. Next time out, I'll break out my launch monitor for more exact gains. Also, I felt much more relaxed compared to my old swing, and I thought I was pretty relaxed then..haha. Thanks Danny.
Great video and logic. I used to play decent golf when I was younger, but wanted to be a better and consistent ball striker. After many lessons i got WORSE! Ive always tried to shoot or pull the hands thru first, sometimes it worked but mostly not. I love the common sense feel which gets me out the "attack angle, degree of swing technical thinking which causes the tightness and horrid play. Hands leading the way via catapult feel is how baseballs are hit, hockey pucks smashed, trees axed down etc. Thanks for the common sense Danny, the body will get to where its supposed to be without being technical, CATAPULT..... awesome sir
Danny is a master teacher of critical feels in golf that. when mastered, automatically manifests many positions and other isolated technical ele3ments that others teach,
I love how your lessons build upon each other. I'm still focusing on your proper hip motion lesson, It allows me to get the club behind me as you show in this lesson and then the motion of my left hip clearing and leading the downswing gives the catapult sling. I call it swinging from the ground up because that is the feel that works for me. I do still struggle with proper plane and ball position. Thanks.
That’s ok George it sounds like you are building it step by step. I love it. Develop the feel from last week first and then gradually add the efficiency in over time
Just took an 8 iron out of the shed and gave this a go , I've no practice net so hard to know if I'm getting it right or not , will wait for the range to open and maybe record my swing and see if I'm doing it right. Cheers Danny!
Danny, I have been playing this game for over 53 years. Have taken lessons...practiced two three times a week and have never hit the ball consistently. After viewing (just by luck finding your videos on Utube)
Am now playing like I never dreamed I could. When the pressure was on to hit it where I wanted...I would invariably come over the top. Now with a little practice of your catapult swing I’m gaining confidence and hitting my 7 iron 155 instead of 130 yards. At 78 I now am moving to Myrtle Beach to experience what I have always dreamed of...playing a decent game and hoping people will now say...” He is a ball striker!” Thanks, for finally figuring out and being able to explain how to stop coming over the top.
Me: Show me physics without using equations. Danny:. Watch this. Brilliant method. Can't wait to try and put it in action! Thank you for this, brother!

Absolutely Ed, we all have to at some point
Permission and a method to do it the right way! Thanks Danny.
You're very welcome!
Danny, nothing like getting up in Saturday and having a great new lesson plan. I will work on this although my youngest child is 30+ and I can't catapult her. This video is a great compliment to your previous catapult vids. Thank you.
My pleasure, 😁
@@DanielMaude if I was on your side of the Atlantic, I would definitely give you a visit.
Great again Danny..It's almost like the way kids at acting school are encouraged to just let go of their inhibitions, you have just given us permission to let go and boy did we need it.Thanks again for the free therapy.
Absolute pleasure, al the best
Danny knows what he's talking about. I'm killing the ball, without think about a lot crap. Thank you Danny.
Amazing Vincent, thanks for sharing your progress
@@DanielMaude I got to take it to the course today. Hit my irons better than I ever have - consistently from holes 1 through 18. Used the tennis racket lesson on the back nine for my driver and it worked great. Thank you. Golf is much more fun in the fairway and hitting greens.lol
Glad to see part 2 of your legendary clip from february 2019 concerning the catapult methode regarding the Driver.
My pleasure Michael, appreciate the support
Do you recommend/adopt the method for longer irons such as 5 or 4 too? Thanks.
An excellent presentation with lots of valuable information. It is worth saving for future reference. Well done, Danny!
Thanks!
This is brilliant. This is a perfect visual I can relate to and put into my golf swing. Thanks!
Awesome, so good to hear
Great way of thinking outside the golfing box. Brilliant instruction. Just need to put it all together on the course. Keep up the good work. 👍👍
Thank you David, all the best
Danny, thank you for this video. I've been using it primarily with my drives and I instantly saw almost 40yds added to my drive. I was averaging 230yds and instantly my average has increased to 265-270 and I've broken 300 several times now with my longest drive being 308yds. The "feel" of the club head speed is massive and as long as I strike the ball true - it's going to go. I'm currently working to do the same with my irons.
Hats really great Joe, thanks for taking the time to share
Hi Danny
Great Drill when I tried this I was coming over the top I had to think that my right shoulder was coming down and under.
Keep it going I love your instructions
Damien
Fantastic! Thank you
The “delayed hit” thought is gold. Love it. Worked at the range today. Thanks Danny.
I remember seeing something a long time ago about the catapult method. Another great video Danny, many thanks 😊🦘🦘
My pleasure Chris, hope you are back out playing in Aus
@@DanielMaude Yes we have continued playing with only a few days break thank goodness Danny. Flags stay in, no nearest the pins and one club length in bunkers as no rakes allowed.
Great video .EXTRA VALUABLE TIPS WHEN DANNY ANSWERS COMMENTS .PRACTICE PLAN VERY HELPFUL .Many thanks.
Can't wait for spring here in Canada so I can actually hit balls using this training concept.
all the best Gilbert, thanks for taking the time to comment
I went to the range today and used this method. It works.
Thats awesome Paul
Excellent, Danny, many thanks. It's all about letting go!
Absolutely Serge
Great swing method for power and accuracy for sure. Ads yards like crazy but so straight , love it. Great Job.
Thank you Rick, thanks for taking the time to share
I am glad you expanded on this concept since your previous videos. It will take time to incorporate but I already feel more power and less tension in the downswing. Lot easier on the back too! Thank you, Danny.
Got here before your thumbs down guy ! This lesson was the first of yours I saw and since then your teaching has given me method and structure. Result is vastly improved levels of enjoyment and some Ws. Another great session. Thanks.
Thanks so much John, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the support from yourself and the wonderful community here on UA-cam
This actually works! I’ve been struggling trying to do a single plan swing with very little power and this type of swing is adding another 20 yds!
Amazing! Well done
Absolute game changer! After using the catapult method I can launch my kids a good 50 yards farther than before, thank you for your help
You are very welcome! 😂
really like the practice guides, I have a note book full of them and it goes with me to range and course, at the course i use them for a quick refences.
thanks.
That’s great Bob, happy to know they are helping
Another good one Danny. It reaffirms your earlier videos as always become nervous/protective on the course and don't turn. As we should be coming to the pantomine season I need to remember "Its behind you" !! Take care
Love it 😂
Danny, thanks much for this video.
Sounds absolutely brilliant Stephen
this is an absolutely genius way of explaining the swing.
My pleasure Gilbert, thanks for taking the time to write
Great video. I have watched this video many times and every time I watched I learned. Thank you Danny
Glad you enjoyed it Erik, thanks for taking the time to write
Another great video Danny. I am completely guilty of early release in an attempt to 'retain control', probably a slight OCD issue tbh. This vid (and the one you did last week) really confirms you need to trust the swing and let it go! As always, keep up the good work!
Absolutely Paul, I will show you in coming weeks how to refine it but first learn to let go
Great tutorial Danny, so simple and easy to understand. Been practicing in the garden with air balls and even they go further. Off to the course on Thursday to try it for real.
Fantastic! Enjoy
That’s so good to hear Markus, thanks for taking the time to get in touch
I started off doing the driver swing you did with the two young guys and I've never hit it so far. At first I had the biggest slice I've ever had, but now it has straightened up as they said it would and I can't believe it. My wife (15 handicap) has now started to do it as well and she is hitting it longer. If this covid crap ever ends and we can get back to the UK I will come and see you for a lesson. Thanks for all the free advice I really appreciate it.
you are very welcome Dennis
Like the vid. Monte Scheinblum has a vid “no turn, cast drill” from 2013. In it he tells you to deliberately try and cast the club. Found it is actually impossible to deliberately cast, the body wont let you. Bit like trying to hits shank deliberately- it’s not easy.
Certainly feels more like the catapult you describe. Only works if you get the club head behind the pivot though. Makes me think much more about club head in space going back rather than wrists hinges, elbows, knees and shoulders etc etc much easier to take on the course
Absolutely, the club head needs to be behind the pivot
Great follow-up to the swing free video. IT WORKS!
So awesome to hear
I would love to see you do a round, or even just a few holes, either with a student or even just on your own. I could watch you swing all day, they were both great, but that first one was an absolute beaut! :-)
Pure gold as ever Danny. Thank you.
Pleasure Matthew, appreciate the feedback
i think your use of imagery works really well - thanks for another great video
My pleasure Toby, really happy to help
Love your enthusiasm Danny. Always really enjoy your videos. I can't wait to try the Catapult Method in increase my swing and ball speed.
Go for it Malcolm 👊🏻
I would have to agree, this is a game changer. Thank you Danny!
My pleasure
Another solid tip! Another drill I use is thinking about throwing the club in the direction of my target so I'm focused on that task rather than hitting the ball or focusing on the ground.
Love this Richard
Great video as always Danny 👍👍. I will definitely give this a try cos i am now just over Covid-19. You all please be very careful out there and protect yourself all times. Always enjoy your lessons. Thank you so much Danny for trying to help us play better golf!🙏👌
Great to hear you have recovered, look after yourself
Hi Danny I have been practising the catapult method with my driver ( as your previous lesson ) and it really works well.Gained 30yards!!
Would love you to do a video /9 holes about breaking 90 with tips and advice. Thanks Danny your help has helped me enormously.
I’d love to, anything in particular you would like to learn
Your videos are always good....but this one is pure Gold.I am sure this will unlock my cluttered swing thoughts over the ball and get me to make a more powerful swing instead a series of movements.Danny you are the best.👍🏌️♂️
You are so welcome Barry
Thaks danny... I just practice golf for 2 month now. Your video make my swing more better.
From your indonesia fans...👍
Amazing to hear, thanks for sharing Arief
@@DanielMaude I hope some day you can play in Indonesia, especially in Bali. 😀
Thank you for SWING lesson, i am a beginner , grew up with playing CRICKET . this will help a lot. thanks.🙏
You are very welcome
Practiced this at the range today. I was one of those drop the club down guys. I immediately saw gains in all my clubs, hard to tell exactly how much further the ball went, but a guess with my scoring irons would be about 5 yards or so. Next time out, I'll break out my launch monitor for more exact gains. Also, I felt much more relaxed compared to my old swing, and I thought I was pretty relaxed then..haha. Thanks Danny.
That’s great, love to know your gains
Danny, what a great instructor you are!
Really kind Lee thank you
Great video and logic. Thanks for the common sense Danny, the body will get to where its supposed to be without being technical, CATAPULT..... awesome sir
Danny is a master teacher of critical feels in golf that. when mastered, automatically manifests many positions and other isolated technical ele3ments that others teach,
Thanks so much for the feedback 👊🏻
I love how your lessons build upon each other. I'm still focusing on your proper hip motion lesson, It allows me to get the club behind me as you show in this lesson and then the motion of my left hip clearing and leading the downswing gives the catapult sling. I call it swinging from the ground up because that is the feel that works for me. I do still struggle with proper plane and ball position. Thanks.
That’s ok George it sounds like you are building it step by step. I love it. Develop the feel from last week first and then gradually add the efficiency in over time
This video gave me the correct explanation!!! Thanks
My pleasure, thanks for the feedback
Great video, I just picture I am throwing the club!!! Great swing thought
Absolutely, then it's just about making that motion more efficient
Danny great stuff mate. Really tied the slingshot method into my head
awesome, enjoy using it
Just took an 8 iron out of the shed and gave this a go , I've no practice net so hard to know if I'm getting it right or not , will wait for the range to open and maybe record my swing and see if I'm doing it right. Cheers Danny!
If you can feel the woosh you are well on your way
@@DanielMaude cheers Danny , I'd say your fingers are raw from all the replys 😄 , but its appreciated!
Struggling with the irons, maybe this will be the answer. Thanks Danny. Stay safe buddy!
And you John, look after yourself
Danny, I have been playing this game for over 53 years. Have taken lessons...practiced two three times a week and have never hit the ball consistently. After viewing (just by luck finding your videos on Utube)
I am n
Am now playing like I never dreamed I could. When the pressure was on to hit it where I wanted...I would invariably come over the top. Now with a little practice of your catapult swing I’m gaining confidence and hitting my 7 iron 155 instead of 130 yards. At 78 I now am moving to Myrtle Beach to experience what I have always dreamed of...playing a decent game and hoping people will now say...” He is a ball striker!”
Thanks, for finally figuring out and being able to explain how to stop coming over the top.
Yeah! Continue turning and not stoping is a key.
Certainly helps 👍
Great lesson. Gave me some great things to practice
Glad it was helpful Brian
Me: Show me physics without using equations.
Danny:. Watch this.
Brilliant method. Can't wait to try and put it in action!
Thank you for this, brother!
Thanks Michael appreciate the support 😁
You need your own show on the Golf Channel......
keep doing these though.....
I would much prefer to continue teaching you guys 😁
