This was a wonderful discussion, wish I could have attended live. I am going to drop this comment and like on all three channels. If not for the three of you, I probably wouldn't be using e-ink as heavily as I do. The three of you are genuine and it definitely comes through in your interactions and videos. A very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all.
What a privilege to have the three of you together talking about this space. I agree with so much of what you say. I echo Voja in wanting to see epaper as a target technology. The tablet form factor is so finely iterative at the moment. Remarkapple! Ahhhh... No.
WOW! What a treat this was. Three of our favorite honest reviewers all in one place and discussion. The ultimate e-ink experience is hooking up your Happy Hacking Keyboard with the famous topre switches to your Supernote Nomad - ah - e-ink bliss! Thank you all for these wonderful insights. Your fans appreciate all of you.
Absolutely agree that Kaleido isn't there yet. I purchased the Kindle softcolor and returned it quickly. The screen, even when reading black and white, just seemed dark and I felt compelled to use at least some of the device's light. I prefer to use no light.
I share everyone's excitement about the Note Max. it's definitely going to replace the Go 10.3 for me -- not just because of the (probably) upgraded display but because I have really gotten a little addicted to BSR, and combining everything it can do with the keyboard is really going to be fun. it should also be the highest-performance device in the Boox lineup (judging from "2.8GHz 8-core CPU") with the possible exception of the Tab Ultra C Pro.
Over the past 2 years I have bought 4 of these devices. Boox n supernote. It's clear the trend is towards writing n drawing on paper with no distractions. I also have fountain pens and japanese midori notebooks. They give a whole lot nicer experience for writing n drawing. No batteries, no updates. No hassles at all. Manual indexing ensures rereading of notes. So really wondering why I'm spending all this money on eink just to be pen n paper. And I read books on kindle. But fundamentally this discussion is shaped by weighing up the pros and cons of multiple devices. You guys use this device for comics, that device for reading, another one for reading. Ok when you get things free from companies. But people should only have to own one device. Or certainly one ecosystem. E ink remains as frustrating as it is productive.
Lovely relaxed interactive discussion last night. You got the vodcast tech and format working really well.
Love love love this format of stream. Keep up the good work!

Automatic translation with subtitles does not work. It is disabled.
I think it’s because this was a stream. Dubbing is enabled on my channel. My apologies.
It works now. 🙂
