I recently found UnSun and I think they sound really beautiful. I'm a huge fan of Nightwish and I also like Xandria, Within Temptation, Ethereal Dawn, Evanescence, and some other bands a lot too.
Unfortunately Unsun is no longer a band. Anna the lead singer caught some kind of illness. It affected her vocal chords and targeted her nervous system. She gave us a goodbye post on fb. She isn't dead that I'm aware of but her husband and herself decided to break up the band. Maurycy her husband and lead guitarist is forming a new band.
UnSun was a Polish gothic metal band formed in 2006 by former guitarist Maurycy "Mauser" Stefanowicz of the death metal band Vader. [1] His debut album, entitled The End of Life, was released in September 2008 on Century Media Records. Her second album Clinic for Dolls was released in 2010 by Mystic Production. Despite two plans to enter the studio in 2015 to record the successor to Clinic for Dolls, the health conditions of vocalist Anna "Aya" Stefanowicz failed and prevented her from recording her vocals. I have not seen any better, Unsun was forced to dissolve in February 2016.

The breakdown at 2:55 onward is stunning; totally different clean vocals to their other songs - real shame they didn't carry on their productivity as a band- even today with how much symphonic metal has expanded these songs are lovely
I like this powerful chorus. On this second album, Aya's voice got stronger and better and the songs are super catchy. That song has Wonderful Melody in the chorus! I will buy the album:)
Has Maurycy, or however it's spelled done anything good in another band that's not total death metal? I looked up his earlier band, and it was too thrashy for me.
