They are still around listen to their music yeah it is a shame they are not around as healthy 20 year old guys not knowing if they would make some more great stuff
I SO hope that this version of the song is included in some CD release. I was SO disappointed when it wasn’t released on Anthology 3. It’s probably my favorite alternate take from the movie Let It Be.
Love this- it sounds as if they are having a great time. It is like working in a garden spreading the seeds and then bringing them together as flowers 💐 They were, they are and forever shall be wonderful musicians 🙏 and I will love them and be grateful for them forever 🙏
It's always to hear where Beatle songs began. Like new songs or performances are for the rest of us, they are rough, unpolished, and unfinished. The Beatles worked enormously hard in the studio to work out their parts and fit them together into a seamless performance.
What I've noticed is that when they first jam on their songs together, it's typically with a 4-piece arrangement. Across the Universe started off with drums and Paul on bass and trying to background harmony. Eventually none of those three pieces (drums, bass or paul's backing) made it into final version and it became orchestral. This version of Two of Us is a lot more of a blues rock song and I kinda prefer it this way. But it probably is better in the folksy acoustic way they finalized it, with ringo's bass kick as the only real source of drumming. Don't Let me Down also was a bit faster, heavier and dancier when they first started playing it.
It’s always a great pleasure to hear variations of an already known song of the Beatles, thank you for posting 🙏🏻 I have only 2 additional comments : 1. this version is by far faster than the one included in Let it be album, 2. it’s very strange but I have found that, after each of the 2 "run away home" break, the tempo changes (I mean 1 two 3 four becomes one 2 three 4) ! I thought it was an error but as it’s the case each time, I imagine it’s deliberate ☺️ If a professional musician could confirm and give us an explanation ? Thanks in advance 😎
I also found this version of the song kinda interesting. There is actually no tempo or time signature change here though. You can count, it stays the same. This is a simple trick with a kick and bass offset. Instead of the usual 4/4 measure, they can be thought of as two triplets and a quarter, i mean 4/4 = 3/8 + 3/8 + 1/4. I hope I explained clearly
The words to this song really mean something ..something beatles were possibly trying to tell each other..that it was great and good now pick up the bags...well, darling u know the rest...
I wonder why they changed this arrangement to an acoustic version. Did they want one more middle tempo number for the album, or was this similar to "Get Back"?
I know absolutely nothing about music but I'm a long times Beatle fan love this version Does this sound a little bit like Velvet underground with pre-punk pre-grunge sound or am I completely clueless?
They were writing and finding the arrangements in the studio; no need or attempt for precision until they have it down and go for the serious takes. On the other hand, the Decca tape is terrible- I wouldn't have signed them based on that. In fact, every single label rejected them. George Martin admitted he signed them off their 'humor, charisma and personalities..." not their music.

I love the original but I love this one too. God I miss those boys. Life in general was just more fun with them. We were lucky.

This sounds like a 90s song! It's amazing how they could anticipate musical trends without even having to try hard.

Beautiful! The did magic. Miss them; but still have their music forever.

Good bass line by Paul. 🎶🎸❤️
This reflects the sound of the early Beatles
Even rough rehearsals of half worked out arrangements are better than most bands!!😂😂🎼🎼.x
You got that right!!

First time I hear this! And I've been a Beatles fan since hearing 'Let it be' on the radio as a 5-year-old. Great version.

can't even believe this wasn't on the box
hope they pass the audition....
An under rated comment...well done!
I see what you did there ... (don't smoke). I'd like to thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves ...
You win the internet.
This should have been the released version.

Heard this up-tempo version on a bootleg called Sweet Apple Trax in the mid 70s. It also had the song "Commonwealth" on it.
Woah I actually found this version much better than the actual released one
nope
No but I love it.
Yes

thank you for your professional and technical point of view 🙏🏻
Wish let it be or the let it be naked cds had included this version as well as the acoustic version as a bonus track
Iconic sound!😍😍🙏🙏
This is so awesome!!!
What a great drumming
Eleanor's one of the favourite songs!
yay I find someone knows eleanor&park YAY
У ребят были хорошие( отличные) яровые посевы, которые взошли зимой. Битлз одни! Справедливо, без юношеского фанатизма.
Very skiffle-y. I love it.
The bass reminds me a lil bit of Junior’s Farm; wonder if Paul thought of this when making that one
Why did Peter Jackson not include this version, when I saw a version done this way it was really funny, they were having fun, laughing.
This should have been a single… it fit the whole “ get back@ idea..
Awesome version
😋😋😋GOOD👍👍👍😋😋😋GOOD👍👍👍

How the road runs 2 heaven
Still a great song.....
Oh ! That's Three of Us !
It works so much better at this tempo. It's much more of a rock song this way. The McCartney/Phil Spector production sounds kind of tired now.
the beatles don´t need quality to sound good
Because they are The Beatles
Funny
This is a Photo from First time, and two use from the last Lp. ???
Why wasn't this in the deluxe edition??
the tittle of the song from min 05:00 is One After 909
初めて聴くバージョン。これビートルズ?
Someone doesn’t know what rare means , this is widely available .
They were just fooling around with this song , if they had worked on it seriously in studio it would have been a great song.
Ah! Not anymore, thank goodness :) (I'm obviously referring to "The Beatles: Get Back"
Loved the actual one that was released This version is a disaster
Mis super4
What year is this?

For Beatles fans, this isn’t rare! Lol
Well I've somehow never heard it... but now I love it!!!

Always loved the fast version of this. The released slow version is boring and sucks.
Too fast ...
It is amazing how amateur-sounding the unpolished versions of The Beatles songs are (even as late as 1969). No wonder Decca rejected their audition.

I am so glad G. Martin did sign them.
@@jerryc3050 It was because of their arrangement of "Till there was You".

@@codetech5598 Too radical. I mean come on, there they are on the rooftop playing it themselves.
