Add liquid bleach and acid. Stop using tabs / and shock thats what DIY get at Walmart And why would you ever add hockey pucks tabs without testing the CYA If the stabilizer CYA is too Hi you're just digging yourself a bigger hole
Should definitely address the ph before anything.... makes the chlorine more effective and makes the water more acidic to help with killing algaes/bacterias.... check them phosphates when it's cleaned up
I dont shock my pool til i know/adjust my ph. Shock/chorine isnt as effective if ph is off. Why not adjust that first to get the most effective out of your chlorine
Idk how you empty skimmers by hand. I'm a med nurse in an ER, and I still need a breather after reaching blindly into the decomposing body of a baby rabbit.
Sometimes the skimmer basket gets too overfilled with stuff that I can’t get it with my skimmer tool so you just gotta roll the dice and insert ur hand slow
Wear chemical gloves. Most pool guys don’t even though we handle toxic chemicals. Also skimmers are filled with bacteria so I also don’t understand from most guys
Pool technician here, you just get used to it like anything else. Sometimes you get live animals which is pretty satisfying to save their life as well. I just hold my breath and do the best I can with the decomposing ones. 😅
Er nurses in my hospitals dont typically deal with much except for holding their phone in front of their face complaining about working conditions while ignoring patients. They do about 2 hours of honest work a week. If you were an operating room nurse i would be surprised you couldnt handle that.
I have a question so I have a pool and I was doing a green to blue treatment as you’re doing right now and I loaded that thing with chlorine liquid chlorine and acid and the color is now I would say I put about 16 gallons of liquid chlorine in a 20,000 gallon pool along with Half a tub of acid and it doesn’t look swampy green anymore. It looks great. It looks blue but the only thing is that it’s cloudy and it hasn’t gone away do you know why?
16g is a lot I can get a 20k gal pool clean with just 7.5g and a few tabs. This happened to one of my pools and we had to add a second filter temporarily until it cleared. Prob cloudy bc all the extra chlorine. Have you checked the filter to see if it needs to be cleaned/replaced? Might be better to let it run nonstop for 24 hours.

If my pump pressure is that high, there's barely any flow and its time to backwash the filter. Especially with that neglect and sudden burst of algae you just fed it.
Sometimes a pool can turn green even with good chlorine levels due to a high ph, poor filtration, not brushing enough, not cleaning the filter enough, high phosphates, Ect…Chlorine is not the only thing that keeps the pool clear.
@@SethKolbePrefect trust me I know lol I probably haven't been doing this for as long as you but if you're good with your chemicals and you do everything textbook you shouldn't really have any problems with those other things. When a pool is THAT green 9/10 it's got 0 chlorine
@@ZP4IN surprisingly some of the time I’ve seen them this green or even a little more and they still had some chlorine (they do get way greener than this you can still see the steps). Usually those have high pH so the free chlorine is basically doing nothing lol. It’s very rare to see a green pool that’s got good chlorine and a lower pH.
So my pool is like 6,000 gallons above ground and I got some water delivered and it was from a well and the color is a little yellowish. How do I clean it up and make it clear again? Slowly adding water from my well but it will take awhile
Exactly what I’m saying ain’t no wait it has chlorine it in, normally what I do is I brush the pool and algae treatment and depending on the size of the pool that look a little bit less than 10,000g I’ll throw like 7lb of shock and then some mutriatic acid to lower the Ph but ay we all have our way

The chlorine/shock works best with good ph maybe try adjusting ph first or at the same time ?
A ph of 7-7.15 is ideal especially if your pool runs a liquid system
pH should be 7.2-7.8
There’s different factors that may come into play but generally it lets u know on the test kit
Shock drops the pH also

setting up a living plant filter and adding some small aquatic snails would have done all that without chemicals, and would make the water healthier.
It's a pool, not a pond

I dont want to know how many brain eating amoebas are in that water🤮🤢
Hi, whats that powder and that tablets, i need a name can u help me please🙏🙂
It’s shock and the tablets are chlorine tabs
Been raining everyday here in Arizona so idk what you talkin about
It’s months ago
I would just drain the water out and put in fresh water instead but i dont want to waste water xD tbh
It costs thousands to fill that pool.
@luvsanjamtsbayraa9418 yea definitely not cost effective
Oh my gosh those chemicals remove that algae right off like nothing I can’t imagine what it does to your skin
Minor burn/skin rashes nothing that crazy, i remember as a kid i swam in some water that had been shocked just a couple hours before taking a swim

We are currently renovating our lagoon. In order to make sure our lagoon never turns green like this pool I am getting CPO certified.
My neighbor's pool is black. The water is black, and there must be an inch of sludge on the bottom.😮
