Pattaya is lucky to have so many expats living here. Because without the foreign tourists, it has become a sad place. After 2 years in exile, I was eager to return to Pattaya. It was a sad reality compared to the same dates in 2020...Obviously Rome wasn't built in a day anyway. But lucky for the Romans, there weren't the Thai bureaucrats in charge. (Thank you for your videos, they kept me in touch with this city for many many months.)
I love the Dutch ,met many over the years on my holidays and most speak English to my shame not knowing their language 🤦♂️ .Friendly nation and people .Nice seeing people come up to you to say hello Trev .And you still giving people privacy speaks volumes 🙏My god ,has it been that long since i was last there .Estate agents now a hotel (next to Natures view hotel )🤦♂️
These little impromptu chats that you do with people are very positive to see. A lot of these guys have come over for a few weeks holiday. We need more of that. I've just bought a place in the East of the City (far enough away from all the trouble that I could get into) so moving across from Bangkok soon and hope to join one of your bar crawls!
Really good Walk about there Trevor. Only a few weeks away my friend before we arrive. Looking forward to it all the beautiful land of Smiles. Stay safe
Gotta love the super healthy Thai Street food, scrambled eggs in oil and a huge bag of MSG right next to the wok! Great video Trev and keep those random street interviews going from your fans :-)
I had the chance to enjoy Soi Boomerang before anyone found out about it a few years back. Very quiet on the outside but loud on the inside. A credit to the builders, the sound proofing was amazing.
Love Pattaya. Just amazed at all the bars that are everywhere. In L.A. you have to really go out of your way to find an old school dive bar. Can't wait to go.

Hi Trevor, absolutely great video very informative, I bumped into you last Friday as you were coming out of heaven above said hello, told you about my bars on the darkside, but you were a little worse for wear ha ha best wishes great channel cheers
Great vlog Trevor. Its a testament to the popularity of your channel how many Farangs come up to you with a friendly hello when you are doing the walkarounds.
Trevor you beauty mate nice video and always bring out the magic. im over the moon to see how busy out there right now. cant wait for my turn . thanks for another great video.
I really appreciate you showing and interviewing tourists in your latest videos, Trev, instead of trying to keep their faces off camera. Keep up the good work, mate.
I watched that video with a silly-ass grin on my face - great stuff Trevor..... lovely to see people out and about having a great time. I can't wait to be one of 'em! And I know what you mean about the "hah!"..... Although that's more the girls from up North, and that's because their Thai in general is very coarse, and to other Thais, quite vulgar. The equivalent would be the way backwater hillbillies talk. Sort of.... 😆 Anyway, thanks for upload sir! Keep 'em coming, they're getting me all fired up for my eventual trip out there. 👍🙂❤
I've stayed at Sutus Court 1 four times now. Big, clean rooms. Massive bed. Huge bathroom and shower. Good air con. The only problem is that up until the last time I stayed (December 2019), there are no in room safes. That may have changed by now. Location is excellent, with plenty of good eateries around and now in what looks like the current busy falang drinking areas. On the Baht bus route as well so 'other areas of interest' such as T21 are easy to get to. Currently booked up to stay there in May 👍
In Soi Boomberang down around the corner from Katisserie guest house is Pizza Italy. Best pizza I ever had. Crust was paper thin and the sauce was heavenly. Next to Club Fate. Katisserie guest house was fine. Room comfortable, but no window except in the bathroom. Weird, but actually was advantageous as it kept noise from outside to a minimum and I had no problems. Good value at the time...$18 US per night. Clean, staff was nice. Around the corner is the Hideaway Guest house. Owner was super cool, and the food was outstanding. Best breakfast in my humble opinion. The place that used to be Asia Backpackers also had a god breakfast from what I recall too. About half the price of the Hideaway's breakfast but not as much food. Glad to see folks are getting back to business.
Sutus Court worked out well for me as I had a need for medical service and I just walked next door to the hospital. Staff at the hotel very friendly and helpful. 2 swimming pools, but not big. The biggest advantage of the hotel is the location. Not fancy but adequate
My preferred style of hotel : not fancy but adequate. Pre-Cov' times I travelled a lot on business. Colleagues would stay in some fancy 4 or 5 star place. Definitely looks to be more life around. Both locals and tourists seem to be more in evidence. Even if it's not its usual busy self, you could probably still visit 2 or 3 places a night, every night for a fortnight and still not visit all the places that you have recommended and that are open. Nice to see some heat !

@@Buzzinpattaya Thanks m8, looking forward to sitting in the bar in my 'Buzzin Shirt' with 'Lost in Australia' printed in the back and hear you saying 'Ok F*ck, it's Dave, where is the fire exit' LOL Believe it or not after I got injured after a major motorbike accident I ended up at the local Recruitment office recruiting for the Navy prior to my medical discharge, I don't mind saying that I was a Legend in the RN recruitment world. Another good walk about. Walkin' with you would be like walkin' with a rock star, everyone seems to know you. My walk with you would last until Annie Jacks. One look at those ladies and I'd be there for days.
Good to see life is coming back. Just today I read that coronavirus is actually spreading again, and the U.S. is advising Americans against traveling to Thailand. Thailand also continues to require multiple covid-19 testing before and during your stay (and the U.S. requires one as well on the return flight). I know I don't have presence on the ground now but it seems like taking one step forward and ten steps backwards. While the rest of the world is opening up and eliminating all testing and quarantine at least for vaccinated passengers, the same is not true for Thailand unfortunately.
I'm considering coming end of June until beginning of July, although I'm curious about the walking street, do you have any news regarding the ago go bars are they still serving food only or they have re-opened with the pole dancing and teases? cheers sir
Skyfall had some dancing, but most places on Walking St just have ladies sitting inside (plenty of lookers). Food is not really a major item. Getting personal with the ladies is an option at all gogos.
Honey Corner Bar. Been drinking there since it was the Noi Bar from 2011. Shame it shut then changed hands now the new name. Also i know a lot of the Ladies that work there. Some since it opened years ago. Ànd they say the new boss is just grate. Think his name is Jack. And he used to drink in the Snooker Hall 5 mins walk from my house in the UK. Good Boss.
I'd be cool with the Thailand pass system if the bars could stay open until 1am or 2am as of now the 11pm close time is a pretty big buzz kill. As american in korea I also have to consider when i return and the qaurentine in place here.
Sutus Court is good they have cheap rooms and better ones. The best in Sutus Court 1 that also has a lift so no climbing stairs when you've had a few. At present they are all cheap around half price. All priced without breakfast, but your next to Cheap Charlies and other places for that. They have a S/Pool and a must for me a car park. Their onsite restaurant/bar sells Booze cheap. Last time I was there they were pricing a large Leo at 75 BHT Around the same price as most bars want for a small one. Great value. And it's in the middle of things.
Talking about McDonald's are me think of this story. A guy was sending a girl money so she didn't have to work in the bar. She told him she had got a job in McDonald's. She used to text him pictures of her in her uniform from a McDonald's. He thought that's great she has a job. What he didn't know was she would go in there and give a girl she knew a hundred Bart. She would lend her the uniform for 5 minutes. She would get her to take pictures of her cooking and send him the pictures. Then change back into her stylish hot clothing, and go back to her bar she was working in. What a pro at lying, you have to hand it to her. Beware newbies they know every trick in the book lol ps if your a status quo fan that motorbike would suit you down to the ground 😉
Not bad! My ex there told me I was the one who got her pregnant, I sent dosh for 18 months to help her, only to find out it was her previous thai ex who was the father, silly me!
"ha?" is an Esan thing, you very rarely hear it in Bangkok. The first thing I notice when visiting Pattaya from Bangkok is the language and accents,; it grates on me like nails on a black board. Pattaya is basically a mine Esan.
Just got home to the US today. Spent my last four night in Bangkok. Soi Cowboy was dead. Nana Plaza was Buzzin although not all bar were open, but most had dancing. Soi 7 (on the other side of the BTS from Nana) was recommended by a lady friend of mine. The bars are actually off of Soi 7, a nice complex. Weather was a bit hot in the early evening, so went back to Nana for some wild fun. Went back to Soi 7 afterwards, more ladies were present, at least three live bands and a mix of other music, definitely worth a visit.

Nice one thank you very much for sharing
Walking is not as dangerous as it looks. I've been bumped into while walking a couple times. Always by cars, it's a surprise but it never hurts.
As ya said mate it's nuts
Hi did you feed that dog?
Went back but wasn't there
The CDC just added Thailand to the list of countries for Americans to avoid travelling to. It's now at the level 4 risk category. Not good.
Wow
Someone described the US as the Covid Killing Fields, at 985,000 dead, the big one million in the next few days
Thai Language??
-- You seem to speak Thai very well.
-- Do you have a recommended school??
Or other advice??
I found learning to read improved my language ability 10 times

5555 nothing surprises me any more

Indeed
Just got home to the US today. Spent my last four night in Bangkok. Soi Cowboy was dead. Nana Plaza was Buzzin although not all bar were open, but most had dancing.
Soi 7 (on the other side of the BTS from Nana) was recommended by a lady friend of mine. The bars are actually off of Soi 7, a nice complex. Weather was a bit hot in the early evening, so went back to Nana for some wild fun. Went back to Soi 7 afterwards, more ladies were present, at least three live bands and a mix of other music, definitely worth a visit.
No mask anymore Trev. Is that the rule now.?
No mate but many are getting bored
