Congrats! Before I was able to snag a 2021 F150 Tremor, I was looking at that exact model (different color).. XLT 302a, sport package, no chrome a must! no regrets! You should check if the recall affects you (underbody insulator potentially drooping and rubbing against driveshaft)

Great Truck. Love my 2021 platinum. Had it a year now. Been perfect and runs and drives great. I traded a 2018 Ram that I had major problems with. And they couldn’t seem to fix them.
Love my Ford F150 (2017) However, wait until your door latch starts freezing up in the winter and you cant close your door. So annoying. There is a recall on this issue.

Congrats! I am in the same boat as you. I sold my 2015 Tacoma for more than I paid for it and then managed to get a 2021 302a for INVOICE! Catch being that is was a service loaner but it only have 1k miles on it. I have since got an offer for trade on the truck for 5k more than I paid and a private sale offer of 8k more than I paid. This market is crazy! I live in Houston and it seems like people around here will pay anything the dealers ask. Oh and Coyote for life.

As I posted on one of your other videos I left Ford at end of 2020 and bought a loaded Chevrolet Silverado RST Z-71 Midnight Edition which I am very happy with but love your truck especially the color. Can’t wait to follow your mods. I would have bed sprayed not a liner. Have had liners and as you know spraying much better and won’t eventually come loose. By the way I connected with you through waiting AutoVlog and you have come a long way. Glad to see it Brian. I am 70 and still working but can retire anytime. Have often thought about creating a channel in my retirement.

Ordered a 22 F150 Lariat, Sport, 5.0 pretty loaded placed the order Jan 14th got my scheduled build date of March 21, and a VIN assigned. Went with Rapid Red. Borla Sport cat back first up 👍🏻

Thanks! I was a Ford tech from 2000 to 2019 and I never saw a 2.7 with a bad turbo. I had the 3.5 and a 5.0 in the past, this time I went the efficient, cost effective route.
I have almost the exact one except its the 5.0 and FX4 pkg. same color and everything Absolutely love it. Cant wait to see how the mods you do look on it
I knew you would end up with a ford and good choice , deffentially do tune along with Cai, bigger charge tubes," turbo adaptors ", catted or non catted downpipes with a mild quiet sounding exhaust . The turbo upgrade will deffentially give you more power but id do those first for the amount if money spent you'll be happy with the gains .
Excellent choice Brian. Definitely a huge improvement from a tundra. Btw I’m a V8 fan. I don’t really care about the gas mileage because all that fun in a V8 stops you caring about the gas mileage.
I would pull everything off before I returned it. Depends on the type of tune and they would have to determine the tune caused what ever issue you may have to void the warranty. Plus it’s good to know people at the dealership.

I still believe the 2.7 is the sweet spot. You don't hear a ton of issues on those, aside from the plastic oil pan. Plus you may have dodged a bullet on the Tundra's 1st year on a from-scratch design.(plus paying a monthly service to access most of the goodies in the infotainment system is crazy).
I wonder if you can some how modify your exhaust and make a loop in it so the pipes are the same length kinda like the new third gen raptor? Because they sound awesome
You did good with the choice I have a 2021 f150 in velocity blue with the sport 302a package with b and o sound and sunroof. The stereo isn't as good as I thought it would be.
You were smart in dumping the gas guzzler Tundra. They will drop quickly in value as the 22s start building up on the lots. The new one gets 17-19 mpg compared to 10-12 mpg of the 2nd Gen. With gas now between $4 and $6 a gallon and skyrocketing the 2nd Gen Tundra with the V8 sound won’t be desirable for long.

Your going to love the 2.7, my 2017 STX 67k not a single problem, getting 20.4 daily, just made a trip from southern West Virginia to Gladstone Virginia and back, 412 mile trip got 22.7 mpg even though the the instrument panel was about a mile a gallon optimistic. Hey Brian, congrats on the new F150! Saw you on Mike’s website mentioning possibly putting a new exhaust on your truck if you can get the factory one off without cutting it. Just wanted to confirm it’s possible. The only obstacle (on my 2021 XLT) was the spare tire which after dropping it, the factory exhaust came off no problem. I’ve done some other mods as well. Real close to you in Mars PA if you’d like to check it out for some different ideas.

Good luck with the truck. I had a 2.7 in my 18 stx. Really good motor . Now have a 20 xlt with the 5.0. I’d say the 2.7 is smoother and is probably faster then the 5.0. U will be happy with it.
Absolutely. I have the 15 5.0 and I always thought wouldn’t go any other way. Until my buddy showed me his 2020 2.7, that’d be what I’d get if not the 5.0. It’s a rocket, he’s got 30k on it with no powertrain issues.
Really? I have a 3.5 Expedition, the thing is very fun. But it ain’t no 2.7. The 5.0 sounds amazing and is the best at towing. The 2.7 is shear power, low end moment. it just moves.
Love that 2.7, I was driving around a standard cab short bed 2.7 Tacoma getting 19 mpg. Sold it and bought a 2020 F150 STX with a 2.7 ecoboost and get the same mpg in a full size Crew Cab pickup that I did in my regularcab Tacoma. That was an eye-opener to say the least, and the F150 even pulls 24mpg on the highway as long as I stay around 65mph. And still Hammers down when you need her too.

I was pretty set on the new Tundra until I saw the prices. So far, I like my F150 better than my ‘21 Tundra but 3 females told me they liked my old Tundra better🤔

My dad has a 2019 f150 and it feels more planted and more powerful than my uncles 2016 tundra, but the tundra wins when it comes to looks compares to the 2019, but the 2022 f150 is okay im just used to the aggressive look lol
Beautiful truck! Waiting on my 2022 build to be delivered. As of right now the ETA on is mid February. Went with the xlt sport/fx4 powerboost. Super excited. I actually have access to the Z discount. Contacted 5 dealers and only 1 would honour it. I’ve heard that the dealership I went with was maybe one of only a few honouring discounts. Knocked 10k(Canadian) off the top. Not bad.

Sound sweet but I think Nitto makes the ridge grapplers and K and N only makes intakes.

Good luck with the truck. I had a 2.7 in my 18 stx. Really good motor . Now have a 20 xlt with the 5.0. I’d say the 2.7 is smoother and is probably faster then the 5.0. U will be happy with it.

Absolutely. I have the 15 5.0 and I always thought wouldn’t go any other way. Until my buddy showed me his 2020 2.7, that’d be what I’d get if not the 5.0. It’s a rocket, he’s got 30k on it with no powertrain issues.

Really? I have a 3.5 Expedition, the thing is very fun. But it ain’t no 2.7. The 5.0 sounds amazing and is the best at towing. The 2.7 is shear power, low end moment. it just moves.

Love that 2.7, I was driving around a standard cab short bed 2.7 Tacoma getting 19 mpg. Sold it and bought a 2020 F150 STX with a 2.7 ecoboost and get the same mpg in a full size Crew Cab pickup that I did in my regularcab Tacoma. That was an eye-opener to say the least, and the F150 even pulls 24mpg on the highway as long as I stay around 65mph. And still Hammers down when you need her too.
Fantastic! I had a 3.5 Tacoma, it got poor fuel economy and had a tiny tank.
It's beautiful but it will be in the shop more than at home.

Love the truck !!! I got a tundra because ford didn’t want to play ball , but wanted the coyote f150 was back in 2018 , had remote start and was nice xlt 5.0 , just dealership wasn’t cool , Toyota was nice plus gave me over price for my 2013.5 Camry

I was pretty set on the new Tundra until I saw the prices. So far, I like my F150 better than my ‘21 Tundra but 3 females told me they liked my old Tundra better🤔
@@PIPSBURGHVIEWS yeah the old one was better, the new f150 I would buy for the tech and luxury, like the Tundra is more expensive than the f150 and it makes sence, and plus it's not like most people drive there trucks 100,000 miles then sell it, usually 60k miles then they sell it. But if your gonna keep a truck forever I guess a tundra will work. My dad has a 2019 f150 and it feels more planted and more powerful than my uncles 2016 tundra, but the tundra wins when it comes to looks compares to the 2019, but the 2022 f150 is okay im just used to the aggressive look lol

Beautiful truck! Waiting on my 2022 build to be delivered. As of right now the ETA on is mid February. Went with the xlt sport/fx4 powerboost. Super excited. I actually have access to the Z discount. Contacted 5 dealers and only 1 would honour it. I’ve heard that the dealership I went with was maybe one of only a few honouring discounts. Knocked 10k(Canadian) off the top. Not bad.
Also, I believe ford is currently working on custom 2022 factory orders. Anybody who ordered a late 2021 will be getting 2022’s

Congrats on the new F150 but me personally I would go for the v8 because there's a lot more that you can do with a V8 then an Eco boost. And I actually knew that its an f150 because I just watched autovlogs video of him installing another borla atak on his f150.
