Susan stepping in, Reggie conducting Steve with the news music, sound effect slapping.... the whole bit was amazing. We need these longer clips of wonderful banter!
Both this and LNSM (i.e. the competitor) should go without a (regular) audience; doing so would result in a more cosy, intimate feel, and differentiate themselves from the 'bigger' 11:30 shows ~ 😉
OK, I agree, James has done some questionable things in his career, but you have to admit, the workplace atmosphere here vs Ellen, is EXTREMELY noticeable and a far more friendlier place to be. The fact the cameraman gets in on the fun too is always neat.
That's it! I'm officially part of the Late Late crew now. That's how I feel about this format. Soo cool and warm and inviting. It just makes me feel good laughing along. Thanks you all. I would love to have co-workers like you all. Tonight, it was the sound effects and Reggie being the maestro for the news jingles for me.
If I could give this show a million thumbs up, I totally would!!! Best late night show, ever! Omg, thanks for ending the week on such an awesome note! Loved Susan, sound effects, and the news jingle, love it all!!! ❤🤣
I honestly don't care about the celebrity interviews anymore; they seem strived and fake compared to this. THIS is the show. I could watch James and the crew mess around for hours :D
Shaming the executive producer for being in a meeting he was told he could take his time on, but forgiving Reggie when he was just cluelessly watching Star Trek HAHAHA BRUTAL
Reggie being late because he was watching star trek, everyone of the crew booing rob, james pretending to slap memebrs of the crew, ian listing harrison ford movies.... this video realllly perfectly illustrates what a weird, scrappy and hilarious show this has become
Yeah I hope people who stopped watching TLLS when Craig left tune in and give this a chance because I'm a huge fan of Craig but this isn't too far off the mark
That skeleton was a comedy genius, he threw things out at Craig he couldn't understand. At the end the arguments got worse so the skeleton was told the show was over. Craig has moved on but since that day the skeleton has neither been seen or heard off. The FBI are using their resources to find him and a gofundme page has been set up.
Same! When he plays around with them and let's out the silly instead of what's scripted (love the writers and their content ofc as well) We get such amazing interactions lol
Agreed. Corden and Meyers are the best specifically because they've made the audience-less format work for them. Whereas everyone else has gone back to doing the same old thing and it's boring.
So glad your crew posted the entire segment. Allowing us to see everything unfold. So worth it. I love to see co-workers getting along. Makes me love your show even more. Great job by the sound efdects crew.
Omg but this most certainly is a fun show!!! 😂😂🤣I honestly can’t think of any better way to get “The News” thank you so much for making us all laugh so much !
This Monologue encapsulates everything I've loved about the new set-up. An audience can't possibly be as invested as the staff and crew, and the inside jokes and highlighting the writers is fantastic. PLEASE NEVER CHANGE!! As Mary Steenburgen said in Parenthood, 'I happen to like the roller coaster.' I was in tears laughing...
STEVE!!!! Is this his best news intro yet?? I need Steve to come along with me in my life so that whenever I get ready to say something newsy to someone I get an introduction from him.
"Its maybe bad different, but not worse!" Im seriously crying from laughing so hard. You guys honestly make my day. Please keep this format covid or no covid. Listen to the comments. This is way better !!!
Oh my GOD, I think this is the hardest I've laughed at a monologue yet (and that's saying something!) The sound effects and Steve's music absolutely killed me AMAZING😂😂😂😂😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Susan stepping in, Reggie conducting Steve with the news music, sound effect slapping.... the whole bit was amazing. We need these longer clips of wonderful banter!
The whole bad should have joined in, making it feel like an orchestra 😂 was waiting for the drums to kick in
Sounds effects especially had me dying
It's really great that they can just be themselves and have fun. I can't stand audience pandering and forced humor.
Steve is a cold blooded murderer. Absolutely killed that news music.
It seriously deserved applause. Marvel theme level music
@@umair111 honestly it was better
Totally agree - I nearly spit my coffee across the table!
i golf clapped
He was due for a longer one, after getting passed over alot.🎹🎶🎶
Pure. Unadulterated. Gleeful. Chaos.
I haven't laughed this much in a long ass time
Same here! Like, what sort of nonsense is this?! More please! 🤣 🤣 🤣
Indeed. One of the reason why this show is way better without the audience. That group banter is just too good 😅
The shenanigans at the beginning are my fave part of this show!!!!
"We can't mess around all day...." Actually James, you could, it is absolutely hilarious :)
Yiiiiiiiii!!! : P
That's literally what the show is...with the addition of "The News"
It really is 😂😂😂😂
Completely agree lol
I think everyone on the crew has to take a turn filling in for Reggie now.
Yes! Totally agree!
This show is 1000x better without an audience. The banter between the crew is elite, it reminds me of the wackiness of the Ferguson era.
Oh man I miss Craig and YES this show is the best heir to the who cares let’s just shoot the shit approach. Genius TV
Both this and LNSM (i.e. the competitor) should go without a (regular) audience; doing so would result in a more cosy, intimate feel, and differentiate themselves from the 'bigger' 11:30 shows ~ 😉
This show has literally never been funnier
Would love to see Nick Bernstein in his jockey outfit come riding in on Secretariat! 😄
Maybe Nick will save this format, he is the Vice President of Late Night, even if there is no President.
Just when I thought I couldn’t love you all and laugh more than I already do 🤣🥰🤣🥰🤣
They should just consider a Friday show with no interviews, just the team having a conversation.
YES
Yes! I'd be up even for 3 days of guests and 1 day of extra long monos 😍
I would watch that
If you want a good laugh ,this is the show to watch. These guys are just so awesomely funny .
Heck yeah! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I actually choked laughing when Reggie started wildly conducting the chair-boogieing News Jingle Maestro Steve.
That wasn't just a news jingle, that was a masterpiece 👌
Lol, I love how this is 5 minutes of monologue and 11 minutes of them dicking around. 🤣
James force slapping people 😂
I could watch a whole show of them just playing with sound effects. 😂
That news intro was straight 🔥
OK, I agree, James has done some questionable things in his career, but you have to admit, the workplace atmosphere here vs Ellen, is EXTREMELY noticeable and a far more friendlier place to be. The fact the cameraman gets in on the fun too is always neat.
He’s the best of all. Maybe he’ll sing a Jimmy Buffett song someday.

I honestly don't care about the celebrity interviews anymore; they seem strived and fake compared to this. THIS is the show. I could watch James and the crew mess around for hours :D
I agree, however what I do like are the week-long residencies. Those guests start to feel like part of the crew.
You articulated that perfectly, totally agree wichu
Thank you for this, guys. I'm currently lying in the hospital with intense pain and you have made me laugh for the first time in a while!
Feel better.
I hope you feel much better soon!
can we get that extended news jingle on Spotify? it's a bop.
Omg THE SLAPPING 🤣🤣
This has to be my favourite monologue hahahahaa
James: ...the news
Steve Scalfati: *drops a whole ass motion picture sound track*
This monologue is complete and utter chaos and I’m HERE for it
Omg same, I love seeing the hosts talk with the crew makes it more relatable
Guys...that really, really was just one of the funniest shows I've seen y'all stumble into...a piece of sweet chaos juju, you can't write that $#!%!
Shaming the executive producer for being in a meeting he was told he could take his time on, but forgiving Reggie when he was just cluelessly watching Star Trek HAHAHA BRUTAL
This was my absolutely FAVORITE part of this monologue!
Reggie as a conductor - hysterical
Ian’s Italian accent - better
Steve’s news intro - intense
Rob’s ‘Shame’ chant - sounds like ‘Zarinaa!’ 😂
Pure greatness!!
And tonight's best comment Emmy gies to....😄😄👏🏿👏🏿🎉🎉🏆💐
Robs walk of shame
omg the wax figure looks so real...😳 i was waiting when it will blink
The more off the rails this show gets, the more fun I have.
Easily the greatest mono they’ve ever done. Reggie and Rob being late, Steve’s epic news intro, absolutely brilliant in every way.
This monologue deserves an Emmy all on its own
Such a fabulous team. Love what you guys do. Was laughing every second of whatever this was.
Reggie being late because he was watching star trek, everyone of the crew booing rob, james pretending to slap memebrs of the crew, ian listing harrison ford movies.... this video realllly perfectly illustrates what a weird, scrappy and hilarious show this has become
How did James not cut to nick when the sound effects crew gave Him horse noise lol
haha, that would have been so funny. “nick? did you bring your horse today?”
I'm a little bummed out they didn't use the armpit fart sound effect from a couple of shows ago.
This is no Craig Ferguson, but we are awfully close to Craig Ferguson levels of zaniness
This show really is better with no audience
Yeah I hope people who stopped watching TLLS when Craig left tune in and give this a chance because I'm a huge fan of Craig but this isn't too far off the mark
I stopped but James without an audience brought me back.
Agree!!!
I love watching James play with his team SO much! The sounds effects bit... *chef's kiss*
Same! When he plays around with them and let's out the silly instead of what's scripted (love the writers and their content ofc as well) We get such amazing interactions lol
Susan, Reggie late, the fake slapping, mismatched sounds, STEVE is back with the awesome news jingle - hilarious. This is the best!
Lol the news jingle was a whole track
Even more fun than usual mono today!! I vote for MORE messing around before the news. You all start my morning w laughter. Thank you.
James is a cool boss for that one, Reggie can't be late ROB lmfao
Edit: So we're dropping "News Jingles Volume I" on Spotify soon...right Nick???
We thank god you're doing the show without an audience. All the rest have gone back and they're garbage compared to this show.
Seth Meyers still has no audience except for his writing staff and that is also awesome.
Agreed. Corden and Meyers are the best specifically because they've made the audience-less format work for them. Whereas everyone else has gone back to doing the same old thing and it's boring.
15:40 I love how they KNEW to switch to Susan afterward....rare footage of her clapping for a pun!
Do you think she really liked it, or just being sarcastic? I couldn't tell...maybe she goes for the major bombs.😁🖖🤣🤣
Pull off an extended news jingle after James trying desperately to start the show and get to the news. High tier!
THIS IS MY FAVORITE MONOLOGUE EVER
The News intro ❤ .snazzy, sway-y, funky. Love the variety.
Reggie. 💗💗💗 The show isn't just James anymore! The crew makes it better than it was, the ribbing never gets old! Put Nick on another horse!
I didn’t think I could love Steve more than I already did.👏👏👏👏
Fins up, everyone! All will be well eventually. Hang in there. 🤗
"You've gone rogue"
Right so the jockey thing was perfectly fine but this has gone too far lmaaoooo
I love this show so much!!! I died laughing when Reggie was like if he was conducting an orchestra with the news music 👏🏼😂👏🏼😂👏🏼😂💜
this might be one of the best ones yet. straight up out loud laughter multiple times. these personalities... riffing.... just the best
I don’t know if this stuff is planned or not and I don’t care, it’s so authentic and spontaneous and funny! What a crew!
i havent laughed this hard in a while. omg
No one makes me laugh like the entire crew of the late late show. This show is awesome as a team.
watched twice cause I broke down cry laughing throughout first watch. This show is good for my heart
So agree!
James: *We’ll do a casual switch out once Reg is back.*
Also James: *THERE HE IS! REGGIE WATTS!*
Tim's face when Reggie said he was watching Star Trek said all you need to know
We are officially off the rails folks. 😅🤣
My dog 🐶 just barked when the doorbell rang!!
Love this show !!😍 the news intro🤣🤣 had me laughing the whole time
Ps we love having no audience!
I hope they never bring an audience back. These openings have absolutely been hysterical and I love them.
These are ALWAYS the BEST monologues! I seriously LOL!
This is the best late night show in history. I’m so glad they showed us the beginning.
Guys you can’t do this to me I’m laughing so hard I’m gonna wake up my roommates 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Put out all the unseen footage. I'll watch that too.
Steve ROCKS !!! LUV the show, guys! Hate that you're only on 4 nights a week. Have a great weekend!

STEVE!!!! Is this his best news intro yet?? I need Steve to come along with me in my life so that whenever I get ready to say something newsy to someone I get an introduction from him.
My ringtone is the doorbell haha I forgot that wasn’t a normal thing. But now I want to replace it with this week’s news jingle!
ok but this went to hell so fast and then the news theme song was as long and intense as the fucking Avengers intro song 😂 😂 😂
I love you, gang!
I nearly peed my pants form laughing😂 i love you guys so much, you’re so funny
I love that they just let everyone do a bit. Steve's music was amazing and Reg was right in there. I love it!!!
This is the madness i need in my life on a day to day basis.
Corden and the crew making every moment count ❤️❤️
"Its maybe bad different, but not worse!" Im seriously crying from laughing so hard. You guys honestly make my day. Please keep this format covid or no covid. Listen to the comments. This is way better !!!
The sound effect at 8:51 had me laughing so hard!!!!! Bravo, Guillermo
omg reggie had the biggest smile when he answered the phone. That man can GLOW.
I laughed so hard that I couldn’t breathe during the sound effects portion 😂😊
Love it that Steve lets a few days go by and then KAPOW , he produces another belter. Pure bliss 😊
This is the funniest opening I have ever seen
This has got to be my favorite mono ever! Just the crew totally screwing around. I wish my work could be this much fun!
Oh my GOD, I think this is the hardest I've laughed at a monologue yet (and that's saying something!) The sound effects and Steve's music absolutely killed me AMAZING😂😂😂😂😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Honestly, I could not stop laughing 😂
The discovery of the sound effects😂😂😂😂
The sound effects killed me 😂😂
This news intro song rendition is the one they should play every night! The best!
10 minutes to get to the News! Thats what we are here for!
The first 5mins are absolute chaos and I love love love it!!!! 😂 Oh and go Susan!!!! 🥰
One of the best episodes! The news song was awesome, James is having a breakdown, Susan! You all are great!
I love watching you mess around, when stuff goes crazy it's amazing, sweet news intro
This just got better and better every second. The News Theme set me over the edge, I was wheezing and crying.
Please don’t ever bring the audience back. I enjoyed the show before, but now I love it. Laughing tears!!!!
I love the chemistry of it all! I'm so dead 😂
What a SHOW… I love, love, love you and hope to always end my day with you. Thank you 🙏. I’m for sure the number one fan Portuguese in France ❤️❤️❤️
This was by far the best monologue, all of the “mess ups” are so funny.
This is the funniest thing I've seen in a very, very long time!
I haven’t laughed like this in ages!! Almost died with the sound effects and Steve’s news track, absolutely killed it
I love this show, I really missed it over summer break. Glad you’re back.
9:21 I disagree James, this is one of the best intro's and mono's you guys have made😂
Thank you @James, @Reg, @The Team, thank you for starting my day off with so much laughter haha. Love you all, stay safe!
Again spontaneous and amazing... laughed my a$$ out
Man please keep it like that
