Great work as usual. My one complaint (not just for this episode, but for the series in general) is that at certain periods, I can't make out a word the characters are saying over the sound effects, the voice filters, the music, or all 3 at the same time. Regardless, it's still a riot, and I can't wait for episode 4. Stay legendary.
"Fuck off ya Cornish twat!" Haha! That was funny. Still listening to it. Enjoying it much. :) Archives section with Thin Git was a bit of a strain with volume balances but that's the only quibble. Like how Van Der Hosen hosts a party in the war basically saying "Bomb me!" "She caught flames.....zee boom boom!" :D Is Peruvia now the new Rimmer World!? Haha, get marching Davey!
Out of the two episodes of History of the Other Railway, The third chapter is the most interesting one I've listened to and enjoyed. The third episode is my favorite, it had a good story and good humor.
Went giddy the moment I saw this in my subscription box (it's okay I'm seeing a physiatrist tomorrow) Really enjoyed this, well worth the wait and had me in hysterics half the time. I eagerly awaited Ep3 as I'd fallen in love with the first two episodes (I refer you back to my physiatrist meeting) and they kept me inspired when I was working on my series Consider The Following (plugy mcplugface, check it out at your own risk) and now I feel inspired all over again the same way Eps1 and 2 did. I was a bit worried some might get offended at the cultural stereotyping but tbh with how funny it is they probably won't care :P I really appreciate all the work and time that goes into these audio dramas. Looking forward to seeing Controller Number 4. - Ethan SD
Nurse. Nurse! There's a person who downthumbed this - get me my gun! Loved it. Absolutley bonkers, depraved and messed up - a classic cocktail of older-gen SiF comedy. And there's more to come...can't wait. :)
Oh man! It's so great to hear another episode of this series! My only issue is that we didn't get to hear Diesel suffer at the hands of the Thin Git. Then again, there is next time....
I recognized the _Jeeves and Wooster_ theme instantly! Love that show! Stephen and Fry are awesome British actors! "Oogie Boogie's Song" and "Almost There"... Brilliant use! For a moment, I thought I was looking at General Skarr. LOL You think Van Der Hosen was interested in the Fuhrer's favorite tune, "Der Guten Tag Hop Clop?" XD I love that Groundskeeper Willie, don't you? Finally! We get an episode of this series that stars Mrs. Cruelly! Do more of her! We wanna hear her in an interview!
DarthWill3 We managed to get The Old Bean back to do a quick recording at the last minute - Mrs Cruelly doesn't feature in the series again after this.
Oh, what a shame. Well, there are two other things that bother me: the lack of proper captions for each _HOTOR_ video (which makes it hard to understand what people are saying through the sound effects) and the lack of voice actresses (i.e. Anaesthesia, Little Engine, and Kate669). Think you can remedy those?
Kate was initially due to appear in Episodes 1 and 2, however, she has a child and works two jobs, so it was easier and more comedic to do it with Ryan as a pantomime dame. There are due to be female VA's in the upcoming episodes, but there's not really many female roles in the series.
Ah, Ryan. Talented voice actor, but in serious need of a better microphone. Me, I've got a VocalShield 1 and a Yamaha USB audio interface; they've improved the quality of my recordings ever since. Better recommend those to him. I know all about the scarcity of female roles there; Pip and Emma, for instance, are only around to "ward off the PC Brigade." XD Meanwhile, tell Kate I said congrats on her new family.
DarthWill3 Will, no offence, but that was a new microphone - I use two. I don't use it often enough to justify buying an expensive one, and any time I record and edit I am adding echo effects to the dialogue to make it sound like they're in a room or a more natural place than a recording studio.
Unfortunately in that time, we've had house moves, new jobs, other life events both good and bad - however, progress has been made and more episodes should be happening soon-ish
@@thegoodmudkip3652 Cheers friend - everything is recorded, it's just a matter of piecing it together. Unfortunately, real life has to take priority over otherwise fun internet projects.
