These recruiters pretend to help you when you finally get a chance to talk to them about a position, than they ghost you and never call you back. 😡
Of course - you have been deemed not valuable enough. For recruiters, its all about applicant value. Recruiters basically are data brokers. You can defend yourself against their data theft by creating a high barrier of requirements for potential new jobs and you let all recruiters climb it - this will result in a somewhat extreme contraction of your amount of wasted time. Only talk to recruiters once you got all the info about the job *and* you really want it. Treat your own, free time like literal gold and recruiters will lose their power.

I just got laid off from my software dev job, really sucks because they weren't a bad company imo, but again, doesn't matter, they are never loyal to you.
Here's what I'm imagining is the best part of that company tattoo.

I once interned for a rave apparel and props company, and some of the employees had company tattoos as well. A bunch of them also lived together. The fact that this felt familiar to me is alarming.

I really hate Jobot. It always will say it is a one-click application by only uploading your resume, but after uploading your resume, it will ask you a bunch of questions. You have to be interviewed by an AI bot before a person looks at your resume. At least not call it a one-click application...
And after you apply to one one job through them, you get spam mail about totally unrelated jobs that have nothing to do with your skill set every day, sometimes twice a day, after that. The emails they send out look terribly designed, too.

I thought jobot was a garbage aggregator of jobs from other sites. At least that's the vibe I get when I keep seeing ads via them. If I am right, even garbage aggregators make good money and I should start one instead of looking for work.

I think people should always be looking at job boards. Even though I’m happy where I am I’m always looking at what else is out there.

They don't have a talent shortage. LinkedIn and 3rd party recruiters exist precisely because there is no talent shortage. In the case of a true talent shortage most employers would just invite people to send their resumes to an email, like they do in some other countries with a true talent shortage.
In the words of a recruiter I once knew “I just move an employee from one company to the next which creates an opening in that company which I fill with an employee from a different company… and I get paid $$$ with each move”. 🤪

They are pressured to stick w what will help them fill jobs. So they will ghost/drop ppl. They will get fired if they don't. Recruiting Agencies focus on filling jobs and making money.

The tattoo dude reminds me of my former boss... he had the company logo tattooed on 2'3rds of his arm this is a huge tattoo. He's also the one who drove the company into the ground promoted an inner circle nepotism ring while forcing people like me to carry the company on their backs with no support to a breaking point then the company was sold in a back door deal TWICE in 2 years.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This whole "recruitment" thing ain't nothing more than legalized prostitution IMO. I am amazed that we live in a society where the UN has passed an umpteen number of resolutions decrying sex and human trafficking and 49/50 states make prostitution and pimping felonies. But we let this shit operate with utter impunity. The federal government should have shut down robert half and its ilk and let backpage and craigslist for sex alone.
