What a wonderful place to visit! My wife and I moved to the Davenport area 2 years ago and I had never been to Plant City. As a life long rail fan I have followed your videos now for 2 years and love them very much. Today I made a visit to Plant City and saw what a wonderful place it is to visit and view trains. I wasn't there 10 mins. when Amtrak came roaring bye. The depot, museum & platform were awesome. Thank you for all of your wonderful videos Danny. Highball on!
Thanks very much! Welcome to Florida!
I'm also in Davenport and Plant City seems to be my go to spot. 90% of my planned railfanning is there and occasionally I go to Dade City or Wildwood
My nephew. Benny Lubrano did an awesome job!
Every time I go to the platform, I walk almost a block west along the railroad to Krazy Kup. I get a frappe moche cold coffee and sit at an outside table in front of Krazy Kup right next to the railroad. They can make any kind of coffee that you want and you dont miss any trains. You have to try it. Just dont come to Plant City on a Sunday bc almost everything is closed.
I was last here in 2007 and the rail action was great, i'm from the UK, i just wish our Railroad Companies would contribute to our railfans...its not only a good idea it makes economic sense in regard to tourism in some areas.
Keep it up its brilliant!!!!
Virtual Railfan has a live camera set up here and it is my favorite. Amtrak 91 and 92 come through twice, going to and coming from Tampa. All of the freight trainspassing through as well as the freights to and from Tampa. It's busy spot, and having two diamonds, and the turnout makes it extra special.
Great info! We're adding this to our list of railroad vacation stops.
Looks like I'll have to head over there soon and hope to catch a train. Thanks Danny.
A great video Danny. Also, it is nice to see new railroad memorabilia in the Tampa Bay Area!
This could be an interesting photo expedition.
Great informational video Danny. If we travel to Florida again this year, I shall make it a point to travel to Plant City to check out the tower. Thanks for your hard work in making these videos.
Thanks Danny that's a terrific thing kudos to those who made it happen
I happened upon the viewing platform when out looking for trains on vacation. WHAT AN AWESOME THING! Will make a return visit next time I am south. Thanks! Jason
Another great video. I love it.
Always nice to hear a train clattering over a diamond.
Hi Danny, Enjoy your videos, keep up the good work...”J.J.”
Nice coverage of a great looking platform. The people of Plant City should be proud!

Im so happy they did this ! :) Thanks danny
Can't wait to get there.
very nice!!
I've seen the incremental changes and improvement to the P.C. station over the past 20+ years. So when will they work t reopen the station as at least a whistle stop. One where passengers can board and buy their tickets from the conductor. That was one things I thought was so cool and fun. But now, nooooooo , it's a drive-by station that is so great and in shape. I'd even drive to P.C. to get on and buy a ticket even if just to Lakeland, just to do it.
This Is A Very Nice Video Danny!!.You And My Buddy Alan AkA Millenniumforce Did A Beautiful job With Your's And His Video. Just to Let You Know I Have Subbed To Your Channel. :O)
Yes, I wish I could have documented the project the way Alan did. His coverage was phenomenal.
Thanks for the sub.
Wow!
I wonder if this museum and watching platform has changed in the 9 years since you posted this video? Maybe it's time to re-visit Plant City?
This platform is simply awesome. I do have one question. I'm planning a railfan trip this year and Plant city has been at the top of my for a while. During a typical weekday what's the traffic usually like?
Pretty good in the mornings and evenings with sparse traffic during the afternoon. Depending on unit trains and extra runs, etc. you could easily see anywhere from 12-30 trains daily.
Its really bad... unforituently. Theres people living in the elevator, and vandalized. :/
