  • Ep 07, The majestic Mekong River. Duncan explores the Mekong river region around Isaan and cooks a steamed river fish in the middle of a rice field. He visits the majestic moonlight waterfall where he cooks up a spicy curry soup that you most likely have never tried before. Then he makes his way to one of Thailands largest cities, Khonkaen. There he cooks up a divine fish soup with noodles. Authentic Thai cooking.

    Love your videos. Great lessons.
The last dish doesn’t look like two tablespoons of oil though 😊
I always have this problem on how much oil to use when stir frying beef.

I have been around Thailand many times but never seen a dish with dill, crazy. The food you cook is so authentic, real throwback.

I have recently been watching your videos and I love them, Thai food is so good and popular and I love the way you present and prepare many of the dishes that for some would be hard to attempt to make. One thing I love about the few videos I watched is your portable stove, where can I get that type of WOK BURNER, I live in the USA and I been trying to find one like that and have not been successful. If you could make a video about your cookware or provide us with a link to where to buy that cute blue gas BURNER that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your great videos Duncan and please let us know.

Hi Frank thx for your wonderful comment, so glad you enjoy the show. The gas burner was purchased in Bangkok, the regulations in Thailand differ from other countries so it may be difficult to purchase this type where you come from. There might be something close to what we use available at camping shops? Hope you have some luck with finding one. Good idea about the cook ware, thank you.

Great videos Duncan. Are you a chef from the start or are you self taught?
