  • You will learn how to create a coaster tile using alcohol inks with a wispy background and draw a flower garden using a pen. (note: I have found that other pens will wipe off or fade if used on a glazed tile. This one works great). Tim Holtz Ranger Alcohol ink Colors used are: egg plant, turquoise and pool.
    PRODUCTS I USED:
Conair Hair dryer (for blowing background): amzn.to/31hUlL1
    Needle Tip squeeze bottles: amzn.to/2GKRZLc
    Ranger Alcohol Ink set: amzn.to/38dhbGo
    Sakura MicroPerm Pen set: amzn.to/37ahsZ7
(The tile is a standard 4x4 glazed ceramic tile purchased from a building supply store)

So cute! This type of art is out of my comfort zone, all the more reason I'm going to give it ago and have fun! 😁👍

Yes!!! Being out of your comfort zone is scary...but, so very exciting when you create your first piece and realize how fun it is and then you're hooked!

hi these are beautiful I've wanted to do this for a long time but I cant draw. Do you think I could use acrylic paint or alcohol ink to stamp them? thankyou in advance

Hi! I'm not sure how acrylic would work on the surface. I would think it would peel off too easily. Let me know if you figured it out! Thanks!

The pens aren’t available. At least not in the link you posted. What other pen do you recommend??

Oh no! I will check that link. They are Sakura Microperm pens. The only ones I find that work. (Just bought some more myself.) try this link: amzn.to/3dsjqtY

What is the ratio of alcohol to ink when diluting?

Seeing these videos and others have gotten me into the world of alcohol inks.
It’s a medium I have never tried. I am loving it. I made some tile ornaments.
However the ink pen I used smears if you touch it prior to sealing. Does that also happen with the one you used?

Awesome! I’m glad you are enjoying alcohol inks. I love them too! The pen I used in the video does not smear. It’s the only one that I found that doesn’t smear on non-porous surfaces.

You diluted the ink in alcohol. How many drops of ink did you put in the small bottle of alcohol ?? I see someone else asked the same question 3 months ago & you haven't responded yet. Help please ?

Hi! Thanks for your question. I don’t measure the drops of ink. I just add by sight. (The thinness of the color I’m wanting, which may be different depending on each color).

Hello, sorry for late reply…I find them on Amazon, (see links in the bio), Hobby Lobby and Michael’s, and for the tiles I go to Lowe’s or Home Depot. Thank you for watching!
