- Finally in for review we have the Monta Atlas GMT! Monta is a brand I have wanted to be hands on with for a long time. I had seen so many reviews on them, and I thought they looked amazing! But I really wanted to see one in person to see if they lived up to the hype…. And let me tell you… they did!

Big Tudor fan here, but I also own a brand new Monta Skyquest GMT (the “coke version”) and it’s incredible for the price. Even without the price considered, it’s amazing. The fit and finish are of a very high quality, it’s accuracy is excellent and it’s bracelet is one of the best I’ve had. It rivals the Rolex bracelet. Overall, I agree with Britt - the Monta is not far from the standard set by Tudor. I recommend the brand to everyone.
YOU GOT THE NEW MONTA SKYQUEST GMT!?!? I reaaaallly want to get hands on with one of those! I am hoping that will be the next watch Monta sends me!
The Pepsi is awesome it's on my short list.
@@BrittPearceWatches Christmas gift from my wife! You’ll love it. It’s better in person than it is on photos. Instantly one of my favorite watches. Can’t wait for your review of it.
Totally agree. I recently acquired the Skyquest and it hasn't left my wrist. The quality is right up there with the big boys.
Great video. I just got the limited edition opaline skyquest earlier this week. 7:26 Monta is actually about 20 miles from me in St Louis 😀. It is fantastic. However… the first person I showed it to says, “Oh, Rolex!” Dang it. It may be a little too close to a Master 2 homage. 😕
i love the coverage of micro brands! as someone newer to the watch world, learning more about micro brands feels very educational about quality vs cache & the economics of watches, etc. great video, i might get this watch!
I’ve had an Atlas since launch a couple of years ago - unbelievable watch for the (then) price but the stand out thing with my time with it has been the service from the guys at Monta, absolutely flawless 👏
You know!!! I should have said something about this too! Monta as a brand and team have been fabulous to work with!
I agree about Monta's service.
I have really grown to love your videos. Your videos have real character. Keep up the great work!
Whaaat! This has made my day! Thank you! I can be a bit of an…. Acquired taste! 😂
"it feels like a Tudor quality watch with an off the shelf movement", That was exactly why Hans created Tudor back in the day. Now days Tudor uses in house designed Kenissi built movements for most watches. Absolutely nothing wrong with ETA or Sellita movements that are very well proven and easily regulated and serviceable. I must admit that the attention to detail on the Monta is impressive, This maybe a brand I really should visit in the future. Thanks for sharing Britt.
This is the biggest reason I've soured just a bit on Tudor. The in house movements they're using are brilliant but making their watches more expensive to buy and service, which is against the original idea of the brand.
The attention to detail is amazing, the quality of the printing isn’t something I’d have thought to compliment before owning but it’s mesmerizing to see the dimensionality to it, it almost looks like it hasn’t dried it’s so smooth! I also love how the half links (both of them!) are articulated like any other full size link on the bracelet, really drives home the level of quality on offer.
Nice to see a review of a small independent brand. It’s a nice traveler watch for sure with a decent ETA movement. Also, Appreciate you declaring upfront that the manufacturer provided you the watch for your review. Your transparency is refreshing! 👍
You know, sometimes I forget to give people the full picture! I’m trying to get better at saying “I’ve got this watch from a manufacturer/a friend/this is my watch”. It’s important for full context isn’t it! 🙈💕💕
@@BrittPearceWatches Nick Shabazz has a great disclaimer when he's received products from the manufacturer. "Sent directly from XYZ, so we have to assume this is the best quality controlled one ever made"
Love your content Brit, thanks for sharing with us!
Wow very tooltastic it really reminds me of a Sinn can't lie it's a excellent execution love see you get to borrowing watches to review it lets hope in 2023 that you get to borrow many cool watches and your review was really fun and funny. Another note so close to 50k subs lets get it Britt.
Thanks for this video, Britt! I was actually thinking about getting the Grand Seiko SBG027 quartz GMT in a few months, but after watching your review and reading everyone's comments, I'm SERIOUSLY considering checking out this Monta GMT. Price point is great, a seemingly better bracelet (I don't know that for sure but GS has a reputation for being a little disappointing on that end). A few people here said the bracelet is on par or better than their Rolex so that's really saying a lot with this brand
You're never pretentious, you're just passionate. Keep up the good work 💪🏽
I have been trying long and hard to decide on my next purchase and must say I really like the look of this one. Thanks for showing it! I will certainly check them out - might end up being a struggle with the other colour options :)
Being from St Louis and getting my Blue Dial Oceanking in person, is something I can’t explain. They are awesome people. I even had a screw that was loose. I called and they got me in to fix it. Top notch customer service. It was nice getting to try on their other watches while mine was getting fixed.
I wish I would have included this: their customer service is amazing!!
What a great watch. I have been eyeing Monta for some time now. Their oyster bracelet looks just like a Rolex (which is the most comfortable I've ever owned), and I keep hearing high praise about their build quality and attention to detail. No need to apologize for liking a watch and saying so! Your review on the Nomos Club Sport 37 cemented my decision to pick that up (petrol, by the way), and I couldn't be happier with it! Thanks, Britt!
YOU GOT THE PETROL AS WELL! How great is it?!?! Blimmin love that watch! And I’m so glad to hear she is treating you well. If I didn’t have my OP, I think I would buy that one you know! I can’t justify it with my OP as well. 🙈
Wasn’t familiar with Monta before now, but will give them a look. Thanks for the introduction!!
Thank you very much for reviewing a Monta. I don't have the clasp issue with the Triumph version one.
I simply love microbrands. My interest in them started about 4 years ago when my love affair for Seiko waned due to QC issues. I once heard someone say "If you have a Seiko with no misalignment issues, then its probably a knockoff". Zelos, Direnzo, Axios, Helios and many more produce amazing watches with great looks, excellent finishing at affordable prices.
LOLLLL OOOOMG! “If you have a Seiko with no misalignment issues, then it’s probably a knockoff” 💀💀
Great review Britt. I visited Monta HQ in St Louis about a year and a half ago. Met the company President, Justin. Talked watches with him for an hour while handling their entire range. Not a bad choice in the bunch, but I left with the silver dial Triumph on my wrist. Last year I got the Noble turquoise blue dial for my wife. Not only is the quality of the finishing, from the case, dial, hands, movement, bracelet and adjustable clasp encroaching on Tudor territory, their movements’ accuracy is icing on the cake. Monta regulates their movements to +/-5 spd. My Triumph is running -2spd, the wife’s Noble an even better +1spd. Make no mistake, Monta is legit!
I have the silver dial Triumph also. Such a great watch.
Hi. First time watcher. It is a joy to see a woman who enjoys and talks about watches. My wife does not think women enjoy or know much about watches so thank you for proving her wrong. Looking forward to more of your videos. Thank you.
Oh no way! This comment has made my day! 💕 I’m glad you enjoyed this video! 😜 your wife isn’t completely wrong! This is definitely a male dominated space. But there’s so many more women getting into it! Watches are just awesome!
Omg yess! Not only am i early for once but Monta was one of the watches I wanted to see you review! (Alright now to enjoy it fully)
Alas the size is probably a little too big for me too then. Fingers crossed Monta will release a smaller watch one day then 🥲
Ahhh YES! Early gang! We here! ;)
Great video! I love my Monta, to talk about the clasp I love the hard snap in, snapping it in is very satisfying, I sometimes look for excuses to take it on and off haha
I recently bought used the original Monta Oceanking with the Eterna movement. Excellent overall quality with 65 hour power reserve and spherodrive system.
Not far off my BB58 but the Tudor clasps with ceramic ball bearings are the best as well as superb bezel action.
I own this watch in blue. Love it. The clasp is a little long, especially on my 6.25 inch wrist, but is livable. My only complaint is about the fold-over locking mechanism thingy. When taking the watch off, I slide my fingernail under it to flip it up. The lock is so thin that, the first few times I wore the watch, I ran the rounded edge into my fingernail. It drew a little blood. I'm very careful now. I wish the metal was a little thicker. Good review.
New viewer here and only thing 'sus' about this watch video is how much i agree with everything Britt says! Fair intro rant. So very happy to have found a fellow horologist who sees though the typical b.s. and sassy attitude of watch culture. Thank you Britt for the enjoyable and relatable content :)
So yes I’m happy you could get your hands on one of these. I have an explorer and two Tudors. A Glamour Day Date and the Royals. My Monta Noble is equally as good as all of the watches I’ve mentioned above. And the bracelet on the wrist feels like butter Britt! The finishing is what has me staring at my wrist whenever I wear it. This and my Speedmaster racing gets the most wrist time these days. Actually thinking about selling one of my Tudors for the watch you reviewed in this video. 👍🏾👍🏾.
Side note. I haven’t been able to get my clasp to close in the last two weeks either. I might have to reach out to the team at Monta for a new one. Otherwise no complains!
My Noble clasp "failed" too. Nothing major, it just wasn't clicking together like it had. The guys at Monta were great. I had a repaired bracelet back in under 2 weeks. It functions like new.
I was lucky. I had about 2 months left on my 2 year warranty.
They remain one of the best brands for money you can buy. Your comparison is the one I use, it is very Tudor like. Own the Skyquest and multiple Tudors and had no issue picking the Monta over the Tudor for a Pepsi bezel. Better proportions, arguably better bracelet, and honestly, just wears better. It’s a brand I recommend for those looking to get into a $1000+ piece and do not care about name.
Not heardof Monta before, I need to take a look. Recently, I was in a Tudor boutique trying on a Ranger. I had my Christopher Ward Sealander on, for me, the CW felt the better watch, micro brands are punching above their weight! Your voice is soothing, you need to be a late night DJ!
Good to show different watchs and different price brackets.
I bought this watch in opaline silver when it was on pre-order. I can honestly say that, if I didn't miss the functionality of a dive watch bezel, I could wear this watch every day for the rest of my life and never buy another one. It's really that good and that versatile. In fact, it's given me such a good impression of Monta, that I'm waiting to see their next iteration of the Ocean King before I consider another watch purchase.
Damn, that Sinn looks good! 🔥 😉👌
Totally with you on the micro-adjust clasps on these small brands surpassing so many of the mainstream ones. So frustrating, and for years now. Your garage looks warmer than previously, Britt!😁👍
BAHAHA! I’m keeping the Sinn warm for you! 😜 but she calls out to her true owner! 😜💕💕💕 we need to get a date in the diary!
@Britt Pearce 🤣Thank you! I know you'll treat her better than i do!...'(her?'....surely Sinn is a 'he?' ...Could be neither nowadays i suppose).
ANYWAY! Yes definitely, let's sort it as I'm getting thirsty...I can SMELL the end of January approaching!! 🍺 🍻 🍺 🍻 🍺 🍻 🍺 🥳
Monta has been killing it! Love this in the OPALIN SILVER!
Right?!?! I’d love to see the silver in person! I’d be so torn between silver or black!
Looks like a good quality watch, but with my Tudor, a traveller GMT with bidirectional bezel, I can do two things that are really nice. I can snick-snick-snick through time zones when going from the US to Europe and back, without having to reset the watch. I admit this is lots of fun and a highlight of arriving at GDG airport. Also if you drive within the US between time zones, or when daylight savings time changes, you can just click the hour hand over, again without having to reset the watch. Also, I set my GMT hand to British time so can see that at a glance, but you can move the bezel over two clicks to check the time in France or Italy. This comes in handy sometimes. With a caller GMT and a fixed bezel, you can't do this stuff, tho I realize you can do other things, like easily changing your remote time zone by independently moving the GMT hand. I think the Tudor is a better looking watch, and I like how the GMT hand goes right out past the minute index so you know it's pointing to the 24-hour bezel, but it is thick and I do envy the thinness of the Monta. Nice video, thanks Britt.
Monta rules. Love my turquoise Noble. Bracelet feel as good as my Rolex. It was tight for the first week or so but now closes easily with a nice reassuring snap. Case is flawless. Second hand prices are a steal.
Oh you're so lucky to own such a fab watch! You're right - flawless case, amazing proportions! What a watch!
You have a turquoise noble @Iain T . That's just not fair, I missed that one!!
last few years microbrands are killin it ,great design/features at great prices
I have a Tudor Black Bay, and I absolutely love it. I was looking to purchase the Pelagos 39. After seeing this review I may have to rethink my next watch.
Great job reviewing this watch & it looks like a lot of watch for the £. Im sure the clasp just need adjusting and all will be fine. Getting into micro brands so thanks for sharing. 👍
You know, I am certain it was some user error with the clasp ;) haha. I do only have 4 brain cells afterall!
Nice one! I really like microbrands like Monta. Would be cool to see you feature brands like Farer, Traska and Brew
One of those watches where you think “that’s all I actually need” and that for a good price.
Great video as always!
Oh this is perfectly said! 💕💕
Ooh i like it....just looking at the white and blue too...wowzers...i need to add one of these to the "i wish i could buy one right now" list
That's a stunner. Great now I need another watch. The Jack Mason Strat O Timer gmt looks pretty hot as well.
Great review. At the end of the day your opinion is what matters to you, and you should never change that because someone may not agree. Personally. Never heard of them, but having watched this and checked them out, I really like the Triumph. Dare I say an Aqua Terra competitor for about 1/4 of the price, with a better clasp (in my opinion). May need to research a little more. 👍.
Owned this in the opaline, and I have to say that the finishing is even better than tudor in my opinion after looking at it side by side.
I had to choose between a Skyquest GMT and their Noble. The Skyquest ultimately won but it really would have been a win either way. They're a fantastic watch company. The Atlas in Blue is a true stunner and all their bracelets are super comfortable. The guys that I've met at Wind Up Watch Fair in NYC are all great guys too.
Oh MAN! What a choice! But I think I would have done the same! The Skyquest is just sometjing else! I hope that’s the watch I can get in next from Monta!
@@BrittPearceWatches On the rare occasion that they do their rare colors for the Skyquest GMT, those have come out especially nice. Also super hard to come by if you miss their release window and no one who has one will ever part with theirs.
Great clip. Something different and shows the alternative.
Ahh thank you!
Own an opalin Atlas, but temped to sell it to fund the smaller Lorca GMT... Your definitely right about the quality of the Monta though, it is excellent!
I actually flipped a Tudor to pick up a Monta. I have A Tudor BB41 that I just never connected to. I sold it for a silver dial Monta Noble two years ago and I still love it.
There is a good chance my next watch will be a second hand (last generation) Skyquest. If I can find a good one.
Love this watch too.
Want to buy a GMT but can’t decide between this one, the Tudor BB 58 Pepsi, or the Christopher Ward C63 Sealander!!!🤷♂️
Is the bracelet brushed? Or polished center links?
That's a great looking watch. I like the blue dial I'm a sucker for blue dials
I have the Monta Noble and I wear it along with my Grand Seiko and Tudor. It definitely holds its own among those brands and I'd even say the bracelet on the Monta is better than the bracelet on either the GS or Tudor. The dial is crisp and lume is amazing and lasts all night.
I'm kansas city missouri born and raised. Monta is from the other side of the state in st louis. There is a natural rivalry. But i can't hate on this watch. It looks and feels amazing. Love these watches
Thanks for the good review. There’s another interesting gmt from jack mason I think that would be great to have a face off with, adding your own unique spin, especially since there seems to an interesting attempt to give a better bracket and clasp. Ps, I noticed the little kink in the gmt hand and thought it kinky humorous. Otherwise looks like a solid contender.
Appreciate the review. It was indeed objective and fair, even if not steeped in disappointing observations.
I have not handled a Monta watch personally but have heard great things about them, particularly when it comes to the finishing. The only exception to this was during an episode of About Effing Time, where Adrian Barker had an indignant reaction to the Monta when suggested that it was a reasonable alternative to a Rolex - particularly at the price point. I cannot agree with his reception that is more than likely a consequence of his zealous penchant for Rolex.
Despite your affinity for certain brands, such as Rolex, Tudor, and Cartier, you have done a formidable job bringing cracker watches to the forefront. The Nomos Sport Club, Sinn EZM 3F, and the Monta Atlas GMT are great examples of how you have stepped out of your routine to highlight great timepieces with an open mind. Hence, I am grateful for your reviews, particularly as they highlight available options with friendlier prices for us eternal students.
Oh man! This comment has absolutely made my day! Thank you so much. 💕💕💕 I am trying to get out of the mainstream brands and dabble more into other brands and highlight watches that we don’t talk about quite enough! The trick is getting hands on with the watches. 🙈✨
@@BrittPearceWatches
Also appreciate your reviews on the big brands because they do flush out identifiable negatives, especially about value.
Many people forget about the price to qualify ratio when glorifying certain brands.
So I have the same Christopher Ward Aquitaine Diver Britt previously reviewed and was looking to buy a sports watch without a bezel. I was going to buy a Christopher Ward Sealander with a bracelet but during my research came across the Monta brand. Despite an extra cost of several hundred dollars I bought a Monta Triumph instead of the Sealander. The Monta is an awesome watch. So comfortable and well made. I think the finishing on my Monta is just a little bit better than the finishing on my Christopher Ward. As Britt showed, the clasp on the Monta is a little difficult to close when the watch is new, but it breaks in and becomes easier with time. Britt, what are your thoughts between the Monta Atlas GMT and the Christopher Ward Sealander GMT you previously reviewed? The Atlas is significantly more expensive than the Sealander. Do you think the Atlas is worth the extra cost?
Looks promising! Great video👏
Oh thank you so much!
That’s a beauty Britt, but which watch are you wearing in the film please? 😎
Great watch brand with some really interesting stuff, was thinking of getting a blue atlas but got a Tudor bb36 instead
Oh strong choice!
subscribed, keep up the good work and quirky vibes videos
A very nice vidéo i love also some microbrand i own a spinnaker spence 200m very nice and good price range. Your compare points are right and i like this watch thanks for the review
CEDRIC! 💕💕💕 You know! I need to spend more time looking into Spinnaker! I’ve heard so many great things about them!
@@BrittPearceWatches i own a spinnaker spence 200m WR powered by Seiko NH35 since 4years very nice product non problèmes with
Monta watches, similar to Ball ones, are pretty darn good and worth each penny or cent you expense on them. There can be the matter of taste but surely no dispute on their quality.
I don't think there is a single thing about this watch I don't like. It seems to do everything I'd hope or expect from an Explorer or Aquaterra, but waaaaay cheaper, and frankly better looking. It's slim, has a display caseback and dimensions are spot on for my sub 7 inch wrist. With 150m WR! What more can I ask for?
I'm looking into picking up the triumph soon
Up until my recent purchase of a Zelos Spearfish GMT, the only microbrand watches I had were Islanders. (The rest of my collection is mostly Bulova, Casio, Citizen, Glycine, Orient, Seiko and Timex.) As my soft limit on watches has jumped from $500 to $1000, Monta is coming into consideration. Even though I have liked and subscribed, you apparently cast a spell on me when I first viewed one of your videos. Your voice is unique, but pleasantly familiar. Great Lakes regional accent? (I am hoping to be complementary without edging into creepy old guy status.)
"Lagavulin? F'n awesome....What's not? Vincero watches" (Inserts Disclaimer) Love this channel 🙌
You already know how I feel about Monta💯
Great watch! Looks very pretty. I’m not a big fan of Tudor so this watch review is awesome 😂
😂💕💕💕💕
Agree completely that Monta offers a product quality that rivals that of watch companies that charge multiples higher prices. Have owned a Oceanking for several years. one of the best and most reliable pieces in my collection. Get compliments almost every time I wear it.
I have been eying this exact watch for a while now. It really offers everything one needs at a great price. Great size, not thick, excellent bracelet, on the fly adjust, useful complications, good movement and design.
Tudor GMTs are great as well and have the edge when it comes to movement, clasp and brand but the thickness is the only thing keeping me away.
Prices are over the top imo
Man! It’s just a great versatile watch, with a useful complication and great proportions! GET IN! 😍
Micros are so fun! Check out halios (personal favorite), Zelos (1 man shop using exotic metals), Farer, and you’ll never get your hands on these but Laventure is a grail micro of mine!
I’ve got this exact watch and it really is exemplary. The clasp on mine closes easily.
Watch is good looking enough. I don't know. Was a nice review, thanks Brittany. 🙂👍
On the Microbrand front, I just bought an Axios Flagship Defiance the other night and I haven't been that excited to get a watch in awhile. I'm looking at my front porch like dog waiting for the mailman.
I’m amazed such an inexpensive brand made such a good looking watch
Right?! I feel exactly the same! And the build quality is just…. It’s amazing what you are getting for the money!
That or how much we pay for name!
Looks a lovely watch and sensible pricing.
Would love some dress watches or vintage, not much content from anybody on this 😊
You know, this is the direction I want to bring my channel!
Perfect size!!
Okay, I’m sold 👍🏻
Man, I’ve been eying Montas for a while now! So many watches, so little time…and money!
You wont believe it………COVID hit me again 😢. So this video just brought some fun to illness times haha, this time is not that bad thank God 🙏🏻.
Stay safe Britt and everyone reading this comment 🙏🏻
FERNANDO. YOU ARE KIIIIDDDING ME!!! :'(
The clasp isn't a problem. It's designed to be that way. I have a teal and I like that it takes some muscle to close it and secure it.
Good video! I think the biggest gaps for me with Monta has really been the "brand equity," side where I feel like I have to explain to people what Monta is if I get a watch from them. A little bit vein on my part I guess, but I am being honest with myself that the brand has some value to me.
Question on this one about the operation of the movement, Britt: I don't think you discussed in the video if this is a "true GMT" or "Caller GMT?"
I assume that if there was more of the brand equity, you'd be paying a lot more for said equity in the price of the watch. It's a caller GMT.
I really should have covered this! I’m so sorry I didn’t mention! Caller GMT! :) (if memory serves! It’s all packed up and ready to go now! But I’m sooo sure it was a caller! )
Is that watch more on the black side, or grey side?
Britt, please do not ever apologize for your true impressions of a watch. Instead, revel in the excitement of being able to present to your loyal viewership the joy in having discovered a diamond in the rough. Please keep up the great work!
Did I see it has its in house calibre? And also Swiss made?
I have a Monta Noble, which has the same case and bracelet as the Atlas. It's a phenomenal watch. After getting it, I saw what all the fuss is about. Compared to other watches in my collection at a "similar" price point (Sinn, Oris, etc.), the Monta is far and away a superior watch. I have 15 mechanical watches in my collection (including a Rolex), and I can say unequivocally that the Monta is the best value proposition I've ever seen. If I lost all my watches in a horrible watch fire, the Monta is probably the first one I would replace. I see why you're gushing over it lol. And btw, my clasp works perfectly. It's not a Rolex clasp, but it's better than anything else in my collection, and most of my watches are on bracelets.
Good looking watch. My wife bought me a William Wood for Xmas. There is a lot to be said about micro brands. Would you look into WW. They were fantastic to deal with and my watch came with a useful watch roll instead of another box I have to stack in my closet. Thanks Britt
Oh William wood watches are soooo cool! 😍😍 I should really try to get in touch with them! Such a cool concept with their timepieces!
Thanks They really were fantastic to deal with. Name drop my wife Pam. I think they will remember her.
What I like most about this watch is that, unlike most GMT watches, it doesn't have a numbered bezel. Unfortunately it's out of my price comfort range.
Right?! This is perfectly said! A GMT that doesn't look like the usual prototype of GMT
Hi team, how would you compare this to Formex?
Brands like Monta, Formex and others make fantastic watches that stretch but don’t break the budget.
So glad I’m already subscribed so I dont get the evil witch spell😅 Great watch though!!!!
BAHAHA! You’re safe this time! 😜
I fucking love your channel Brittt
Whaaat! 😭💕 THIS HAS MADE MY DAY! Thank you!
Which watch she is wearing? To me looks like Sinn ezm3
I have very high regards for Monta, although I don't own one. Their fit and finish quality is apparent, even from UA-cam videos. How would you rate this watch against CW C63 GMT? Both are similiar in size, WR ratings, on the fly micro adjust, similar movement (Selita vs ETA). CW is priced significantly different from Monta, as the finishing is slightly more industrial / less refine. Both are great options in my opinion but personally, I could almost snag 2 CWs (C63 GMT + C63) for the price of 1 Monta Atlas GMT 🤔
Yet here we are Britt, you bought the bb54 - can't blame you though 😂
Love your reviews! Also, I subscribed, so no spells please :))
I also went down the micro brand rabbit hole recently, now on #6. Micro brands turn the value for $ on it's head in the watch industry. Look at Farer for example. I sold a Tudor BB after getting a Farer GMT, which was a fraction of the $. Monta appears to be a great watch for the $, but I find their designed boring. Farer is really adding colors and taking chances. Take a look at the brand.
Great work as always Watch Gringa... Understand your love for Tudor - I am a "Tudor Man" myself and currently own several. Even some off the wall stuff like a Hydronaut 2 that most people do not care for - but I love it. The MONTA looks like a great - classic design watch - my favorite style. But - I think I will be able to resist because I really do need/want to thin the heard. BIT - I need the Gringa's opinion please..... I want a Cartier watch (leaning toward the Santos) but I want one that will not look silly on a "big man"..... I am NOT fat but I was an athlete in a past life (too long ago) and I have always been a big guy. So my wrist is about 8"..... WHAT Cartier in your POV will look good on a man of my "stature"??? Thanks Gringa - always makes me smile when I see a new video from you to view! Take good care Gringa.....
The large Santos is quite large. It would probably look on you like a medium on a 7” wrist, which is a look that a lot of people like. But hey you might be a person that could genuinely pull off the DeepSea Challenge! Slightly different budget.
@@VuBui Thanks so much for the advice! Much appreciated. The watch community can be a very hospitable community and I thank you again. I will look into your recommendations.
MOWERMAN IS HERE! 💕💕💕 Bahaha I relate with being a fellow Tudor geek! 🙈💕 they just embody everything I want from a sporty watch!
NOW! You’ve got the opposite wrist to me! Everything is always too large for me! 🙈 I reckon so many watches feel too small for you. Like Vu said, the L Santos de Cartier or the XL would wear well on you.
Also… this is one you might absolutely hate, it’s not for everyone, but what about some genta in your life! What about a Pasha?! I feel like you have the wrist size to support the 41mm version! But I know… the Pasha is kinda niche. 🙈
I think my #1 recommend would have to be trying on the Santos de Cartier L! Such a great watch and I reckon it’d look just right on you! 💕
@@BrittPearceWatches Thanks so much Gringa... I will take a look at all of your recommendations. I will surely look at the Pasha as I tend to like the "niche" stuff... But - I will also take a hard look at the Santos de Cartier L.... You vid on Cartier is certainly part of the inspiration for giving this Brand such a hard look this spring. And who wouldn't like a watch Mohammed Ali wore??? My real name is Elton by the way - nice you meet you. The Mowerman USA thing is kind of stupid but it goes along with my business! I do miss going to Canada every month or so as I did about 10 to 15 years ago on business. I loved my time I spent with all of my Canadian friends! Take good care Gringa.....
@@manwithclass09 Ahhh we are on a first name basis now! ;) And I'm so glad my video on Cartier is giving you inspiration! Honestly, I always say, if I had to collect only one watch brand, it'd be Cartier! And you nailed it, if it is good enough for Mohammed Ali, Andy Warhol, Pierce Brosnan and freaking KEITH RICHARDS... It is good enough for me! ;)
Omg E, you must find some time to go back up to Canada!
It's funny. For the longest time a Tudor was a Tudor quality watch with an off the shelf movement. :)

Ouuu I need to look this up now!

The big question is, and something that was not discussed, is this a caller or flyer gmt?
This is fun. Seeing brand name fans become aware others are (and have been) doing it better. A big name carries weight, no doubt. But what are you getting for your money beyond the name on the dial? Makes ya wonder what us snobs are really all about, doesn't it? Are you buying the watch, or are you buying the story? Discuss.
