I bought one when they came out in 2009. It was expensive then but it’s more expensive now. The easiest way to remove it from the box is to simple push down on the front edge. It is designed to stand up with the magnets for display. It is by far the best mint packaging ever!
When I started getting into coin collecting this was my first gold collectible. The coin really is amazing in person. Liberty looks like it’s coming right off the coin. The 2009 UHR really doesn’t get enough love.
My dream coin also! Finally got my hands on two last year while working a coin show in Concord North Carolina, both fancy labeled PCGS MS70's. I would still like to have one like yours with the original box, book, etc from the mint. My favorite saying: Anybody who's anybody has one.. 😂 Anyway, great pick up SpegTacular....Enjoy!!! Thanks for the excellent video...👍. Life is good.....God Bless
I’m surprised that there are copper spots on a .9999 fine gold coin. If I remember correctly, the original MCMVII was impossible to strike because it was the standard 22 karat. Beautiful examples!
The mint did have a lot better "presentation" back then. Beautiful coin, Spegtacular! Would NOT toss that out if I had the chance and the price was right....but, BUT, if I had a choice between that and an original Saint-Gaudens......id have to choose the original. That's just me though....but if I could afford both....heck yeah! Thanks for sharing! Take care, be safe and God bless!
Very cool. I love this coin. I lucked out and picked one up a couple years ago, but without the packaging for a decent premium. So I sent it off to pcgs and got an ms70. Very Very cool coin Speg!
you can push on the top of the wood so you don't have to flip the box upside down and the magnets are there to display the coin in the box also the pilow is there for the button so your box does not wiggle around
Given the opportunity to own either of those coins, I will always go for the one in the original mint packaging. I'm a US type coin collector and didn't start stacking until 2017. Since then, I've even bought some modern commemorative coins. The artwork on some of them is to beautiful to pass up, and prices are generally very reasonable for them.
Just got my purchase. I'm very happy with it. Left a review. It was my 1st win. My 1st silver bar. And the poker chips are very cool. Thanks. Looking forward to your next auction
I'm surprised that this coin has not garnered a significant premium over melt. It was issued in Mar. 09 at $1189. Spot gold was $917. Beautiful coin, but not a good investment.
Nice coin. I was in the room where there were 3 of the original 1907's were offered to a big time collector. I Think he bought the coins for like $250K, it was the coin that graded NGC 69. That was an insane coin
I have 2 as well. It was my first gold coin purchase in 2009. Paid around $1200 for it. Got the second last year from our buddy Brian V. Paid 15% over spot which was a great deal! Both have the OGP. Would getting these graded add much value to them?
I had a chance to score a MS70PL from my 🪙 dealer... gorgeous 🪙, and I still may one day get one.. it's just hard for me spending that kind of premium for a modern 🪙.. I would absolutely buy one if I can get it for no more than 10-15% above spot just for the iconic design.. it's always a awesome feeling when you acquire one of those personal grails... I just got a 1798 Draped bust dollar in pcgs vf30 😁 couldn't be happier

It sucks when a coin is sealed in a container and spots show up. It can effect the resale value too.

I think I enjoy this coin because of how much I enjoy the original design.
Copper spots - BOOO! HISSSS!
My favorite design of all gold coins🤘🏻🤘🏻

Have a Libertad with a copper spot, I think it adds to the character and will be unique

Imagine made out of two oz instead of one oz would be awesome.
I mean what about a 10oz!
That thing is beautiful! Crazy how far the packaging has gone (in the wrong way).

Great to hear! Thank you!!
It's a stunning piece of workmanship. Simply beautiful! Enjoy it pal.
This coin deserves its OGP as it is wonderfully presented. I would recommend it to anybody who really loves coins..
They really did a great job on the presentation.
There was a whole tray of Speg pieces and stickers in my LCS Saturday.
where is that

I need them
Beautiful Coins ! FJB 💕😺😺
I also bought one when it first came out. I sold it and I bought another one a couple of years ago.
Can I ask why you bought and sold and bought another?
@@Spegtacular I needed the money at the time to buy something else.
Super nice nab Spergie! And two! You are da man!
I had my eye on one of these from bullion exchange for the same price, not far over spot. Should have brought it because now you can't find it
SD bullion has them. Not my favorite company but they have them.
Like #130! That is an absolutely Beautiful coin! Thanks for sharing!
That double eagle looks like a 70 to me. I didn't see a single copper spot, scratch, or flaw anywhere on it.
Awesome 🇺🇲 👌
Dang 😳 that’s a worthy dream coin , awesome Speg
Those copper spots if I was you I'd give that coin to me 😅

I agree wholeheartedly! I lust for one of those!
I got mine at spot i think in 2014. Sadly those coins don’t sell at much of a premium. Very Beautiful coin though, i will never sell it.

69 on a 1907?!
@@Spegtacular yes, pictures are on the net, coin is amazing, as struck
was at NGC getting coins in the late 80's when a set was graded (5, 10, 20) there were 2 68's and 69, mint state, don't remember the year.
IF you can remove the spots then do that
A pencil eraser does the trick.
VERY NICE SPEGS
Great coin congrats 🎉🎉👍🪙
Beautiful 🤩
How can there be "copper spots on a 9999 fine gold coin?

I think it’s a personal preference. Although, some collectors may enjoy that 70 grade, others enjoy the OGP. I’m in the middle personally.
@@Spegtacular Yeah, was thinking about grading them, but now leaning towards not grading.
Spegtacular I’m headed to Panama FL in a few days, won’t be able to go south and meet with Guy, any referrals for LCS’s in the Panama Fl area?
I don’t have any connections out there but if you find some good ones, tell them about me so we can connect and maybe I can begin to recommend them.
@@Spegtacular yes Sir
Can you sell that for a premium?
A small one, yes.
Why is the box so BIG??? Trump2024
That’s what she said
Hello Speg Tacular
NIIIICE!
I like the NGC slabbed D Eagle a lot better! Too much fluff in the huge box and packaging. I don’t need anymore boxes to deal with!
I can understand the boxes causing space related issues.
Namaskar sir, I have a $1 Liberty coin of 1865, I have to sell it, how much is it worth, how much can it be sold for, please tell me.
Nice coins! Way to much packaging!!
Shes a beaut clark. Mint packaging is a waste though the book is sweet
👍👍👍...
Id be interested it it didn't come with all the BULLSHIT packaging. Think about how much cheaper it could be without it.
Beautiful. FDJT
