Ok, of all the million covers of the song this is my personal favorite, fantastic :). been bingewatching animusic last week btw so this came in real timely. Thanks for making this!
So the circle that started with Animusic finally closes... unless after building the carussel you now start building the whole thing. Don't you dare!😉 Your own ideas are already more than enough for a life and amazing as they are! Thanks for being you, Martin!❤
Considering the original Animusic video was partial inspiration for the wintergatan marble machine, I feel it's appropriate to say we've finally come full circle.
I think I have to agree with Martin here, this is probably the best cover of this song I've heard! I love that it still sounds so much like the original pipe dream song while also being a cover of the marble machine, it was so well made!
I used the real sample packs that AnimusicLLC -> _Creator of Pipe Dream_ used, though mine is a bit more direct than the usual Synthesizer to Mixer to Sound Interface to DAW. I used Kontakt 5 to load up the Sample Packs, and EQ them as much close to the Original.
At first I thought this was just going to be the Animusic video with the Marble Machine music dubbed over it... then I realised, no, he's actually re-animated the whole thing! Maximum respect!
The amount of emotion I'm feeling right now on behalf of Martin... This video is the best tribute to him and the Marble Machine that I could ever imagine. Bravo, kind creator!
I can't help but marble... At how vastly more complex real marble machine physics is than this. That segment with the marbles bouncing off the belt would never work that way in the real world. We've seen Martin spend countless hours, days, weeks, months and years working to account for the minute intricacies introduced by real variability.
@@TrentonBlessWrestlemania489The team of his must have been.. "Wait i've seen this before but it got deleted, is this the same dude who made the old one?"
I read in an email chain long ago that this contraption was built by a farmer using only spare parts from around the farm! What a wonder of engineering, glad to see it live on!
i didnt recognise the song at first during the base intro, but then the vibra roll happened as beat drop and it was just a pure jam afterwards, amazing job
Holy banana pudding and fiddlesticks this really did get revamped! Just as fantastic as the first take and better! Great to see the project return, and great job making it. I might actually remake my remake of your song now :o
Boooooost! Get this out there! How many years ago did I watch one if the early animusic videos convinced it was real? A younger me was hooked, and the wonder is still alive. Thank you!
This is actually insane, not only did you recreate the style of the original pipe dream near perfectly, but you made new instruments that would've perfectly fit in the original. Super inspirational!
The best crossover in history is back!! Let's Gooooo!!!! I've saved the old version thanks to found it in wayback machine, now i'ts back i notice the changes in both audio and render Awesome job dude!!!

@@Antuane_KitsuneYeah that was from my partner, but i have her delete it just so i can re-construct the song and with better render, now all goes well because the goal was to get Martin Molin's attention to this lol.
The absolute CHILLS when the melody started playing on the flower in the center!!! I grew up watching and dancing to Animusic 2 with my 2 sisters and Pipe Dream 2 was absolutely always my favorite. The fact that I didnt even know Pipe Dream 1 was a thing at the time also made finding it years later that much more magical, especially now that i get to see people making covers of a song created by easily my favorite real life interpretation of Pipe Machine, the Marble Machine!
I would personally try to calculate the average flows of marbles of the different size required to play a song, and then estimate the power required to move them up. Because there's a limit if this has to powered by a human being.
I totally think that these days, this could be rendered live from a MIDI file... Would require a lot of work, but that'd be awesome. :D Great work! Love it!
That's how the original Animusic was actually made, they rigged up all the instruments to take midi files (or at least something similar) as input for their movements, then they plugged in the song and added the camera movements.
Holy heck that is an effort. To model and create and arrange and script and holy heck that's a skill set of things to master to get this done! Amazing 🤯❤
I am deeply troubled and disappointed by the fact that despite, have been exposed to both Pipe Dream and the Marble Machine, my progeny still do not recognize this for the masterpiece that it is :(

Have you seen Doodlechaos' Line Rider version of Wintergatan? Gives me chills every time ❤

Yeah don't give Martin any more ideas 😂😂
He already did! The rotary quad percussion is in his newest video😂 Awesome❤ He admitted that he loves Animusic🎉
When the vibraphone flips up and the main melody comes chiming in, thats the goodebump moment
WOW. The work involved in recreating that Animusic rig from scratch is spot on. The lighting and textures… Completely nailed it. Bravo.

Yep, the Pipe Dream machine is definitely using "physics of convenience". Annoying that you can't do that in the real world!

Animusic is so cool that this kind of stuff "just works"
Flawless recapture of Wayne’s timeless piece with a wintergaten twist! Fantastic work my friend!
We have to get Martin to see this. He'd love it.
I already shared it on the Discord, so just maybe…

The nothtsalgia I get for elementary school music class where we watched both of these like once a week is immense.
That was freaking cool, nailed the render style of the og, improvised on the song to freshen it up... Wow!
I could see The8BitDrummer playing this. He's done both Marble Machine and Pipe Dream.
I wasn't entirely sure until the vibraphone part and man I got goosebumps
This is so cool. Reminds me of old youtube, when people actually made stuff. Good job
