It might not look that much but with all those restoration angels all over u can still use the mage's ability yet again. its actually like tons of flashback, get mage down flashback ur spell, get restoration angel down, blink mage, do another flashback spell. its really like a recycling plant if u ask me.
Mostly because it can search for the shocklands because they both count as islands. The whole idea of fetches thinning out lands has been shown to not be true. It hardly has any effect on land draws.
I've played this deck a lot and I never liked the wrath of gods and the annuls plus disenchant didn't get boarded in enough. Instead I took out those 5 for 3 EE. They have won me so many matches
They removed the sleeves because of the light reflecting from the ceiling straight to the camera, only for the deck tech. Twelve years later but hey! There's your answer.
yeah...that is pretty rediculous. for budget purposes or the fact of not wanting to spend that kinda money on a card i'd put an Archaeomancer in my deck. it mana cost is twice as much but pretty much is the same idea. i think of it as the budget snapcaster XD

I was so stoked when Finkel came back. Been admiring his decks and matches since Standard's gauntlet was necro and uw orbgeddon. Good old nostalgia.
