Thats a frustrating one as the profit was looking great on this bike! Good luck with it Charlie
Cheers Stu. I may have found someone who can take the immobiliser of. I'm sending it away this weekend to him. Fingers crossed
These days, there are locksmiths and key-cutting shops with the equipment and software to supply and programme transponder keys for many makes. We had one locally here we used to use when I was working in the motor repair business. These problems are one of the reasons I've steered clear of modern bikes with fuel injection and immobilisers - give me simple, gravity fed carbs and a straightforward, on/off key switch every time.
It's harder to do on this peugeot aswell Rick as not many have the software. I think I've found someone now but they are unsure if they can do it. So my task this weekend is to remove the throttle body with ecu attached and get it sent of to him.
Ooo I like this scooter, but I have a kink fir scoots. Lol
It's a handy one, so much storage. But it has to run first lol
If u google scooter u can get manual online
Yes I've seen it Shaun. Cheers mate. It's super handy actually
🏍👍👍
Cheers Stephen
Manual says ther should be a fob to open boot aswell
I've seen that online, I may even be able to buy one Although it works on the key which is all good
If the last owner is correct & it was going on that key then it's either the aerial (unlikely unless it's missing) or the ECU unit. with no master key then you will not be able to program a new ECU unit unless you purchase a new ignition switch. They are a pain in the A**.
It's very simple. I sent the ecu of to a company who disengaged the immobiliser. Once it came back it was good to go.
Check out the vid or 2 after thos which will show the fix.
Thanks for watching John.
🤔👍
Cheers Anthony
I just bought old vespa lx 125 fuel injected engine back to life and then chucked it in my et4, it wasn't pumping fuel and had to strip in tank fuel pump and cleaned screens and filters, was loads of black goop in filter in tank, I changed injector for cheap Chinese one too, could be immobilizer but you may be woofing up the wrong lamppost
That's a good point. Even if a immobiliser fix brings spark back the pump may need a good clean.
Is there any way of by passing immobiliser or dies it work within the ecu Charlie?👍
It's in the ecu but I think I've found a company who will bypass it.
my vespa gts had this problem the wire that comes of the ignition switch called the antenna is broke the ecu isnt picking up the key signal
Mine looks OK but I was considering trying another. I have no idea though if this key is programmed to this bike.
Where is the Master Key? it should be a red one
It didn't come with one. I messaged the last owner again and he said he didn't ever have one.
Charlie, use a small screwdriver and slide transponder out of the key, some its a pin hole underneath, it could well be missing, imagine they got a spare key cut but never copied the transponder, and you have the spare key without the chip?
It's in there Steve. But I'm unsure if it's programmed to this bike. Last owner says it used to work but I don't think he's particularly trustworthy
@@motorcyclerescuer check the coil is seated around the lock barrel and the wires are ok
@pickwizard-aka-Stevie that's something I'm considering, trying another sensor from the ignition. I'm wondering if I can just put it close to the key to connect rather then mess with pulling out the whole ignition
Try seat down might be locked due to seat being not down?? or stearing lock ??
Yeh tried that. It's an immobiliser issue
Good luck mate was it left in the weather if so wd40 down the key hole
Seems OK weather wise. It's an immobiliser issue I'm sure
@@motorcyclerescuer top man
Not the original key, looks like a copy so no immobiliser transponder.
Hence the fuel cut off.
Trip to a Peugeot dealer with the v5 & key unfortunately.
And £300
@@spinaway ouch!
They won't do it. It's the right key and has the chip but I'm insure if the chip is coded to this bike. Last owner says it is but he's not very trustworthy I think.
The only way to program a new key is with the original red key which I don't have.
Still working on a solution lol
All bets are off. Your speech sound like that cashier from bet's shop in Snatch movie. Fantastic accent btw.
Lol, slightly Cockney English.
Thanks for watching
🤔👍
