I was doing the fairy quest and found out that the horses you store from botw are connected to totk. Don't know if this is useful or not but it's definitely cool!
If you have the Taninoud Shrine unlocked in the the East Hebra Sky Archipelago, the Golden horse is right underneath. You can warp there and jump off to the right side and just glider drop right onto her back without needing to sneak or anything

My favorite horse is still Zelda's white horse from botw so I'm glad I was able to keep my horses in totk. I do like that you can change this horse's mane though. You can't change the manes of Ganon's horse, the giant white horse, or Epona which kinda sucks =/.
If you talk to Harlow again before heading to the golden horse, she gives you an energizing potion and tells you a recipe for them to help with taming the horse.
I actually got this horse by mistake not even knowing it was a quest. I took him all the way to a stable and he's like uhh dude u can't register that horse it belongs to this stable go bring it back lol
So I got the golden horse but didn't complete the quest and then headed to the labyrinth near there.. Completed the labyrinth and completely forgot about the horse until several hours later.. Now the horse is not there anymore and I don't know what to do 😢 blood moon doesn't make it respawn either.. Anyone have any tips how to fix this?
Well, I don't know what to do now. I accidentally killed the horse by pressing A to mount it but instead it activated Yonobo and he bulldozed Zeldas horse and killed it.
It didn't, it's a completely different horse... Storm (Zeldas white horse) is in the game as well either already registered from BotW or it's in the Akkala region
but… I had more stamina than you and it wouldn’t be tamed even though I used my full 2 bars update: I used like 4 bars and it still wouldn’t be tamed what am I doing wrong???
Yeah because of the messed up text on the map screen with the time, temperature and coords, the bugged Talk icon, and the overly red/pink sound meter thing. I think he got the game emulator file which was leaked like 2 weeks before release
I have one of the best horses from botw transfered to totk and it already has many high stats, the only thing I'm curious of is if I'm able to enhance horses that were from botw
My Golden Horse is glitched. 2 full stamina bars with 2 and a half extra. 25 stamina potions/meals later, the horse will not tame. I'm on the actual mission etc. Same issue with the BIG Horse as well. I've even loaded previous save game files to attempt different solutions, nothing works. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Totally not doubting your struggle and it very well may be glitched, but I’m gonna ask a dumb question: are you spamming the soothe button as fast as you can? Austin John Plays just did a tips video and in it he mentioned that any horse can be tamed simply by spamming L as fast as you can. It has less to do with stamina and more to do with how fast you can spam L. If you are hitting soothe then yikes and I’m sorry your game is glitched! :(
i remember in botw i had the same struggle and i had to let my friend try bc no matter how fast i pressed it it just WOULDNT be tamed. anyway she got it first try and it turns out i was pressing ZL instead of L like a dumbass so i basically wasted all my stamina food for nothing😭
Please answer this with a response and please let me know whether or not you got this message: your game may very well be glitches, cuz if the golden horse is anything like the giant horse and the royal white stallions and even The Lord Of The Mountain(Satori) I BOTW they can definitely be tamed pretty easily. Cuz for me at least in BOTW I was able to tame The Lord Of The Mountain, the giant horse and the royal white stallion on the first try with only about 3 stamina replenishing meals at most. And I only needed one stealth meal or elixir.
@Ali Cannon I'm NOT spamming the button, I'll get maybe 2-3 button presses per section of stamina drop, as opposed to 5-6 presses. After all these years of playing, I guess my pragmatic mind perceived the soothing is the same way you "soothe" the horse after it's been tamed, just nice and easy. I understand they are totally separate actions. I will try spamming and see what happens. I will update shortly. Thank you and the others in the community for your assistance with this.

i think it’s a change that has to do with stamina. higher amounts of stamina correlate with slower turning speed in this game

It is dependent on how many times you hit the tame button not stamina

I got 8-10 cps so I got the horse ez and when I went to old Malaya place I was surprised there's a Giant horse there THE giant white stallion
I was able to tame the horse with one stamina upgrade and no food
