I’m so scared to start working with wire because it looks so difficult, but these might be easy enough for me to try. Thank you 😊

If you don't try you won't know how easy it is. Don't worry about messing up, this isn't a science. He has mistakes but he doesn't worry about them and fixes it.

Besides, copper s cheap and great to start with. You can find aluminum and copper wire in common things like light ballasts and appliance cords.

I didn’t know they were rings. I thought that they were the mid arm cuffs that were popular in the early 2000s. Also…THANK YOU for teaching us about the gauge system. Now I KNOW which gauge to get for my loc jewelry. And your tips with how to position your hand when manipulating the copper was extremely helpful!

16 is strong for building structure
18 is strong but a bit more bendable
20 is for making designs, cages for stones, etc.
22 is for more delicate designs
24-28 are for tying different parts of thicker wire together to hold pieces in and strengthen them.

Hey Matt, are you always using dead soft wire? I'm always afraid that they will snag. Is that a problem with the ones that fan out? I just started using half hard or medium temper wire, and it's pretty great... when I make my own ear wires they stay hard... (innuendos are way too easy here.)
