- There is fear today on the freeways in Southern California after a slew of shootings. The latest ended in the death of a 6-year-old boy. Aiden Leos was shot in a road rage attack while sitting in his booster seat on his way to school. It happened after his mother reportedly made a gesture at the driver of a white sedan after he cut her off the carpool lane. Gunfire erupted moments later. The bullet struck the license plate, traveled through the trunk and into the backseat, striking the boy. #InsideEdition
I keep seeing people making excuses how the shooter probably didnt know the kid was in the back. Does that even matter? No normal person shoots at drivers because of roadrage.

Dude, I'm a little concerned at the misplaced blame here. Sorry, but everyone seems to be shaming the mom, but not the actual driver who shot him. Giving the finger may be childish, but that doesn't justify such extreme road rage that you shoot at someone's car. If you honestly can't take someone giving you the finger without resorting to extreme violence, you shouldn't be driving anyways.

I agree but I think adults need to remember that strangers can be dangerous. You have no idea who is driving that car or what kind of anger issues/mental health conditions they might have. Like I would never go flipping people off in the mall. That is just asking to get beat up. Obviously it’s the shooters fault more than anyone, but people really need to keep their emotions to themselves while driving or in public.

I honestly cannot believe how a road rage incident and a simple gesture cause someone to use a gun. This just shows what kind of society America is and it’s not a good one. See this why I get scared when my mom starts getting mad at other drivers.
For real ! I always tell them that the other person is crazy and they need to stop it. But that other driver had no reason to do that.

I am honestly a toss up, I grew up flipping other drivers off because I didn't like them nearly hitting us as my parents drove. They would tell me to stop, I would refuse. But then when I became a teen, I stopped. I realized how dangerous it could be to express emotion/opinions on the road to other drivers. But that was when my parents started yelling and flipping people off more. Still, not that bad I guess, and nothing ever happened to them. I have a friend who told me about a time that her father was trying to drop her off at her highschool and they almost got hit by some woman.her father was so mad he yelled at her until she got out of her car and came banging on his window and yelled at him, and then started walking back to her car, and HE got out and went and yelled at her and they almost got into a fight. No matter how much his daughter yelled at him to drop it and not do anything, or to get back in the car. Luckily, he finally decided to just take a pic of the lady's plates and report her to the school.
I see people blaming the mother more than the shooter, this is why gun violence is only getting worse. Who cares if the mother flipped someone off, the only thing that matters is thug killed someone.
Someone in the comments said “don’t engage in road rage, you never know who you’re dealing with.” Mf what about not being a psycho & pulling your gun out for nothing? The person who shot this little boy was waiting for something to trigger him to go off. Pure psychopath.
Nothing justifies the idiot who shot at the car. He is trigger happy and needs to be apprehended.
