Just found this video , this is what I'm currently doing . My trailer has a hydraulic lift and a beefy chain winch that runs recessed down the middle and hydraulic sliding axles . We haul the refrigerated units 40 and 20s and some with the aux generator units attached, very heavy . Good stuff .
Hey I need this done
Where are you
I`ve never seen how they load those containers onto flatbeds and i searched it up. very cool video, thanks for your hardwork sir.
live in the mountains out west, used to deliver 40s with a 36ft tridem gooseneck. got tired of people wanting them in places only a skycrane helicopter could place them, downsized my equipment. i cut 40s up into 20s 16s and 12s put in rollup doors and hinged fire doors on the cut ends. "no custom work" just what i want to do. ,built a container mover machine so when i drop off the unit i then take it to the location on site for the customer ,
i enjoy my business , hope you do , your trailer is perfect for what u do.
Stephen Mitchell do you have a video or photos of your equipment? I'd like to see it 👍
That's all trucking they want it in a place only a horse and buggy can get into butt a truck put it in their the 1st time do you should not have a problem
L.o.l.
Where are you located
Ok you gotta admit it was pretty cool
Does this damage your trailer deck at all? Looking to haul one for my self... thanks
The corners of the container slide on the metal sides of the trailer.
that's the one I want 😄
Time to hot the road...not in California. That truck and trailer length in over 65 feet. You start the video with the container off the ground. How did you unload it. was it chained to something else?
in africa people use semi trucks only its good to see a pick-up can do that fan of pick-ups
Nice work man! Do you leave it hanging off of the back that far for proper weight distribution? Thanks
Not usually... It was a short trip that day and leaving the overhang made for a quicker offload
My friend has a 40 ft container they need moving today. It looks easy with the right equipment.
Why aren't your straps 1/2 turned from top to bottom. Vibration from wind usually damages the straps if you don't do this. Really nice trailer.
It was a short trip, low speed.
Whos house was that on wheels when pulling out of there. How long was that darn thing
That parkmodel looks like a 60'
What's the capacity for the winch you are using?
I just bought a brand new trailer and want to install one.
Great video!
At that time I was using a 17,500 lb winch. I would recommend a 20,000 lb winch if you have a choice. More capacity is better 😎👍
@@TitanicTrailerServices
Awesome!
Good thing I didn't install the one I have, it is only 13k capacity
I have my setup going, but still continue to straggle with the winch.
My batteries are in the side compartment similar to yours somewhat in the middle of the trailer, I instal 0-2 gage wire with a fuse from the batteries to the winch, but when this comes to pull the container up sounds like the batteries doesn't have juice to do the work a doesn't pulls, but the hydraulic dovetail works great up and down even with a 40ft container on it!
do you have separate batteries for the hydraulic dovetail and for the winch?
What Im assuming is that there is too much distance for the power to travel from the batteries to the winch?
@@franciscolomeli72 On both my trailers have a direct line from the truck's battery in the front to the back of the truck, and have quick connects to connect the trailer to that line. I find when I'm using the winch a lot battery power alone is not enough. Having it directly connected to the truck helps the trailer battery regenerate between uses and keeps a constant supply of power to the winch when it's under heavy load.
Hey I'm a teen looking into future jobs and was wondering if you would recommend me doing this ?
@ 3:20 Did he really try to push the container?
NorCalGenetics Physics.
@NorCalGenetics You can move a container by hand if 98% of the weight is being supported by the trailer.
said you mama.
Hey there. Can I use this in a project I’m making. It is just the perfect thing I’m looking for. I will give full credit in said project.
Can’t wait to hear back!!! 😀
Send an email with details of the request to titanictrailerservices@gmail.com
Alright I have sent in the email with better context
So may I use it?
how far did you have that hanging off? I do 2ft you looked way longer
Probably around 4 ft
Song links? Really like the music nice taste.
Check out the app Shazam. Recognizes nearly any song and can save to your Spotify playlist
How long is your trailer and how much space do you leave up front? I’m wondering how short of a trailer can be used to do this.
The trailer is 48 ft long total (40' deck)
I usually tell customers to allow for 120' total to alllow for easy loading
@@TitanicTrailerServices Thankyou for the reply, I meant how much space do you leave between the front of the container and the gooseneck. I.e 40’ deck, If you left 5’ then it could be done with a 35’ deck.
@@Toolingabout a 35-ft trailer could physically transport a 40-ft container. It would all depend on how much overhang you're allowed in your area.
How would you unload it in the middle of nowhere. No acre to rig the container on to?
Anchor to something heavy... A tree, a truck or piece of equipment... Worst case scenario, call a tow truck for assistance
That was like watching paint dry...
but here you are. can't get laid at a cat house?
How much should it cost to move a 40footer say 12 to 15 miles, Im in central florida...just wondering
We are located in Canada and don't operate in Florida. The cost to move a shipping container would be up to the transporter. Our pricing would be between $390 - $540 + tax for a local transport (tilt and load service). Pricing of other service providers may be different
10:17 What do you do if you don't have another container to tie it off too?
Tie off to a tree piece of heavy equipment and other truck if it's available. Worst case scenario I just call a local tow company to bring a truck to tie off to.
And if worse comes to worst I could always do a reverse winch with a snatch block
@@TitanicTrailerServices
I kinda of have an idea in how to reverse winch with snatch blocks, but if you don't mind would you share how you do this reverse process?
Thank you!
@@franciscolomeli72 there isn't room to do a reverse winch with this trailer If I had a center track that was recessed into the deck I could run a line to the tail and using a snatch block run the cable back to the front of the container and reverse winch it that way. For this trailer, we just anchor to something and pull it back about 10'
@@TitanicTrailerServices got it and make sense.
Mine is the same thing, but the way I am thinking to do this is by running the winch line through the container front hole and bring it back to the middle of the trailer, then use one of the round members on the side of the trailer (I don't know how those are call)
Then bring the hook to the front of the container and start the reverse process.
I just brought the trailer last night and haven't put this in practice yet, I ust want to be prepared for deliveries in the middle of nowhere!

I AM HAULING 2- 20' CONTAINERS, I AM HAVING DIFFICULTIES WITH UNLOADING THE 20' THAT IS UP FRONT CLOSE TO THE CAB. CAN YOU OFFER ANY TIPS ON BETTER/ EASIER UNLOADING. I END UP RUNNING INTO HAVING TO UTLIZE A CUSTOMERS FORKLIFT BUT I FEAR I WILL GO TO A SITE THAT WILL NOT OFFER A FORKLIFT OR ASSISTANCE TO OFFLOAD AND I NEED A SOLUTION. PLEASE ADVISE , ANY TIP WILL BE HELPFUL..
Take a look at all of my container hauling videos on Titanic trailer services UA-cam channel. There's a few that I show how to offload 20s
how much does a 40 ft weigh?
Around 8500 lbs
Do you make a lot of money moving shipping containers
It keeps the lights on 😎
Can this be done with a loaded container.
Depending on the weight yes it's possible
if you are a big enough boy.
Wasn't I a freakin idiot thinking we were going to watch it without stupid music , three minutes done me
🤦🏾♂️😂... I'll try to remember to do the next one without music 😂
OK BiITCH. oh, where is your video? not the one with your girlfriend, she taped over it with big Johnson today... I'm big Johnson.
2:40, about how much the container is hanging from the rear edge of the trailer?
At the 2:40 point, probably around 7'
@@TitanicTrailerServices on the drop down portion of the trailer, what do you have on it for the container to slide that easy/smooth besides the side rails?
@@franciscolomeli72 just the rails, the containers slide pretty well... Metal on metal. If it's a difficult recovery I'll grease the rails to make it easier and quicker
Do you know where a can rent one of those trailers?
If you're in the US you may be able to find companies that rent gooseneck hotshot trailers. You may have to Google it to find a local rental place. In Ontario where I'm based, I don't know of any companies that rent Gooseneck flatbed trailers
@@TitanicTrailerServices it don’t seem to be none in the US either. Thank you for responding
@@battle1501 try Nationwide trailers or Big trailer rentals. Both are located in Texas. Those are the only rental companies I know that rent gooseneck flatbed trailers. Keep in mind they're not shipping container trailers.
Where are you located?
@@TitanicTrailerServices Louisiana
@@TitanicTrailerServices I know they are not the usual chassis. I’m looking for something I load myself. I’m trying to avoid hiring a crane guy
this is an empty container
Yes, it's an empty container
Camera angle sucks
