- Justice League's film was supposed to be a walk in the park for WB and DC. The movie was set to be their version of Avengers and bring together some of the most popular superheroes in the world for a billion dollar movie. After cutting ties with Zack Snyder and embracing the touch of Joss Whedon, WB may have gotten more than they bargained for. That said, Zack Snyder will be returning to the universe for his version of Justice League (The Snyder Cut) very soon. WB has a bit of explaining to do if this executive is to be believed. #justiceleague #DC #dceu

First off that Bruce Wayne and Lois Lane idea was terrible. If anything he has more chemistry with Wonder Woman which that's better than him being Lois Lane lol.

Speaking of BvS I heard rumors that it was originally going to be two parts, part one was going to be a Batman movie and part two would've been a Superman movie (Dawn of Justice).

Nah its pretty extra. Think about what it would have added to the movie, in that context it is pretty bad. It would have added like 40 minute subplot of stuff that would not matter because clearly they will bring superman back and the audience knows that, not to mention it makes batman look crazy selfish for even considering it
the joke about batman being superman's step dad is hilarious because ben affleck and the actress who plays superman's mom, they actually played in a movie together before BVS and the characters they were playing slept together

Same here, Zack Synder is a great director, I Still don't like BvS, but I really enjoyed Man of Steel and his vision for JL is dope but I didn't want it as the only JL but that's why I the direction for DC so now we can have all the alternate versions

Lois and Bruce idea has been done before so it's not something that came out of no where. And I kind of like that idea as long as they don't make it cannon in the end (bc Superman will come back and Lois true love always will be Superman)

I personally love zack Snyder’s movies , I like the darker takes , even though I like the marvel movies and have watched them all , some of them are just the same old format over and over , and while some were totally great , it gets old , I actually started getting superhero fatigue from too many marvel movies just doing the same old light hearted with comedy , and even though it’s perfect for some of the movies , I started get sick of them following the same format , but I understand that they are going to do what generates income and my opinion doesn’t really matter , but they all get old when following the same format , even with zacks movies ! 💯

Whedon's version has things that Snyder never intended, like the russian family. he doesn't need to see it to "avoid those mistakes" because he never made them in the first place. I swear, that's one of the dumbest talking points about the Snyder Cut. it's not "correcting mistakes" it's showing us what was there before WB came and tore everything apart. I'm glad that Snyder hasn't seen what they did with his movie, because it's an atrocity.
I don’t always like Snyder’s ideas or agree with the things that he says, but he seems like such a genuinely kind/creative/fun person (unlike what I hear about it Whedon). I really loved how hopeful The Snyder Cut was and can’t wait to see what he does

8:00 to be fair, Ben affleck was supposed to direct a prequel batman movie that would've likely covered that issue and he wrote the entire script, but due to dc interference he gave up on the project and that gave rise to the new matt reeves batman.

In the film Hollywoodland Ben Affleck and Diane Lane(Martha Kent) played a couple in the movie so yeah Batman already dated Supes mom
The problem with the DCU in the movies is that they rushed because they wanted to achieve what marvel already had achieved at that specific time. Like you guys said, not making a Flash movie, a Batman movie, a Aquaman movie, because if they had made those films when these characters appeared in JL it would be a whole other impact. And then, they had the brrilliant idea of making their own “guardians”, the Suicide Squad, i mean, DC is full of great secondary characters, and they chose the worst. The heroes and villais are poorly written, Joker is a literal joke to all of us, who the fuck thought that a Gangsta Joker would be a good idea, man, they had to see it coming.

People are jumping to extremes with the Bruce/Lois idea. It might've been a subtle concept rather than a key plot point. Again with extremes with what Snyder said about "dark" and the Joker Christ image. Compare to other films, books, shows, hell even comics, BvS is about as dark as a super nova. There's a Green Lantern comic where Kyle returns to his girlfriends house just to find her severed head in the freezer (t. Major Force). Anyone criticizes BvS for bring too dark doesn't know what dark is. On Joker Christ, I thought is was just another movie teaser, something to make me go "oh man, I wonder what that's about." Edgy is Suicide Squad Joker.
Although I dont like Zack Snyders color palatte, I goto admit when it comes to Action scenes he is a god of directors, even beats Nolan. I guess he needs a real comic writer who writes DC Animated movies. Dialogues will be delivered by the writer and Zack should direct it. Like page by page from a Comic so we wont end up in "Save Martha and I know mother yes mother". If it is done by page by page we can get Animated movies style quality and sure 1 billion. Practical Effects + CGI will make it more realistic too.

I'll never understand why people truly hate Zack Snyder because he's Zack Snyder. I have no idea what he did. I'm glad his movies feel a lot different than Marvel's movies. They're darker and don't have humor shamelessly shoved in every couple minutes, the MCU has their own thing going and it works for them. It doesn't work for the DC universe. They've tried it with justice league and WW84 the results are kinda dogshit tbh. I'm glad we're getting the Snyder cut, but its a shame that's the last we'll probably see of Zack Snyder in the DCEU.

It does feel like he's trying a little too hard to be edgy with some of those ideas. Yes, it would be dark and disturbing for Batman to be raped in prison...but why do it? Just having mature elements in your story does not immediately make your story mature. In fact it can show how immature your story is when you use those elements badly.

I can agree on most of this, but don't bullshit yourself about the X-Men movies compared to Marvel. Let's not pretend the Fox X-Men movies were awesome just because you want to diminish the extraordinary achievements of Disney's Marvel formula. X2, DOFP, and Logan were good. But they also made Origins, Apocalypse, Phoenix, X3, and even X1 wasn't great. Fox has missed WAY more than they've hit.

With Zack Synder, he is excellent at visual imagery, all the risks that he’s made are 50/50, but I respect the fact that he’s a visionary and makes challenging attempts that even though they don’t work, we can all appreciate. All the photos of Knightmare Batman and joker, people can say what they want, but I genuinely think Zack Synder is a talented photographer. Big difference between Zack and Joss is that the main cast respects Zack for who he is, Joss is just a bitch
I actually enjoyed Whedon's version of the movie. I don't think it's good. But I can enjoy it the same way I enjoy Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.
That being said, this exec is a bit of a hypocrite. Whedon doesn't claim Justice League as his movie, he was just doing what Warner asked him to do. And the only reason he was doing it was because Warner wanted to screw over Snyder and rush the movie out.

@@00Batman Winter Soldier, IronMan, GotG, Black Panther, Antman, Thor Ragnorak, Civil War, Spiderman Homecoming, Hulk(I know a lot of people don't like it but it's a personal fave). You probably don't agree with half of these and that's fine, but you get the point. I don't want to sit through years of shit Fox films just to get one Logan or Deadpool. I'll take a bunch of "decent" MCU movies over that.
